Loose Women star GK Barry breaks her silence on brutal ITV cuts as she praises the show for giving women a voice
Loose Women star GK Barry has broken her silence on the upcoming ITV cuts and has revealed whether viewers can expect to still see her on their screens. It was revealed back in May that the show has been axed for half of the year and Lorraine's runtime has been slashed by 30 minutes, as Daytime bosses announced cuts with job losses in excess of 220. According to insiders, once ITV's budget cuts come into effect in January, Loose Women will no longer have A-list guests in the studio, and the broadcast is planned to only consist of the panel debating newsworthy topics from the week. Now, in an exclusive interview with Daily Mail, GK Barry, real name Grace Keeling, has revealed she has no plans to leave the show. The 25-year-old explained: 'I think so, I think I'm still on. I'm pretty sure I'm still there. Obviously the cuts are such a shame, but I'm very glad that Loose Women is still able to be on because I think it's so important to have a women-led show on.' Grace is the youngest ever panellist to appear on Loose Women and was born in the year the ITV daytime show started. Reflecting on her time on the show since joining in 2024, Grace added: 'I'm not gonna lie, I was terrified on my first episode. 'I was like, "None of these women know me, are they gonna think I'm weird," but hand on heart, they are the loveliest women I have ever met in my life. They are so welcoming, and it's just such a fun show. 'I think it's important to have a show on the telly that is all women-based, and it's one of the few that is. The audience are amazing. They always give it large, and you get to speak your mind and no one judges you for it, which is nice.' 'People believe it's just women arguing, but every time I've had a differing opinion on the panel, they're just like, 'that's cool,' no one's had a problem with it.' The influencer has seen her career skyrocket since jetting off to Australia last November for I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! Grace finished in fifth place and was evicted on day 20 of the competition, while McFly's Danny Jones went on to win the ITV show. The presenter has now revealed her latest venture away from her TV commitments. The host of the Saving Grace podcast has collaborated with Echo Wines to create a Limited Edition Summer Berries bottle. Chatting about her partnership with Echo Falls, Grace explained: 'It is so iconic. It was my go-to drink at uni before going out, and I thought I know my audience are going to love this.' Elsewhere, Grace is once again taking her popular podcast Saving Grace to venues across the UK as part of a Jungle Fever Tour special. The show promises a 'night of feral fun' with gossip, special surprises, and celebrity guests. Grace has also been focusing on charity work nd recently visited C9 the Teenage Cancer Trust ward at Addenbrooke's Hospital. She was joined by girlfriend and professional footballer Ella Rutherford to meet cancer staff and bring joy to young people on the unit. Grace went viral after she shared a video showing off what she really looked like behind the glamour of carefully edited Instagram - and it sparked a trend of other influencers doing the same. The video racked up almost 94,000 likes, and social media users from around the world then began replicating the video and using her voiceover to expose how they actually look when posting online. She soon gained a huge following and within a year, had amassed a whopping one million followers on the video-sharing platform. At present, she now has a huge 4.1million followers on TikTok and an impressive 1.8million fans on Instagram. Cambridge-born Grace went on to create her own podcast, Saving Grace, in April 2022 and has interviewed numerous celebrities including Coleen Nolan, Olivia Bowen and Alan Carr. In early 2024, GK took the podcast, which is also uploaded as a vodcast on YouTube, on a sold-out tour around the country.

Kate Garraway's future on GMB revealed amid debt battle and ITV's job cuts
KATE Garraway's future on Good Morning Britain has been revealed amid her debt battle and the savage cuts at ITV. The 58-year-old was faced with the daunting prospect of paying back £800,000 following husband Derek's death from covid-related illness early last year. 2 To add to Kate's worries, there have been huge changes at ITV as bosses attempt to cut-costs. However it's been reported that Kate has been told her job on Good Morning Britain is safe. A source told the MailOnline: 'There will be a bit of moving people around but all of the roster will stay. 'Kate is loved by the audience and her job is now safe. 'It could have been devastating for her if she was to go in the cuts but actually most of the savings will be made by not doubling up on coverage and there will, sadly, be lots of staff going from behind the scenes. 'It will be such a relief for Kate, she has had a horrid time and money is an issue for her.' Kate recently told how . Her revelation came during a chat with money expert Martin Lewis who is campaigning to change the way councils call in debts of unpaid council tax. Kate then revealed how, whilst her husband Derek was in a coma after being stricken by Covid, bailiffs turned up at her house. She revealed it was after she had unknowingly not paid her council tax for six weeks. Kate explained the reason for the bill going unpaid, was because her husband was responsible for paying the council tax. She said she had "no idea" it was going unpaid - otherwise she would have paid it. Kate revealed how "awful" it had been for her family when bailiffs suddenly turned up at her door, especially during such a tough time.

Loose Women star admits 'we're all devastated - people are struggling' as she gives DAMNING verdict on ITV cuts 'affecting people's lives'
A Loose Women star has admitted 'we're all devastated' and 'people are struggling' in a damning verdict on the ITV cuts 'affecting people's lives'. Regular panellist Sue Cleaver, 61, has broken her silence about how the cast and crew at the chat show are really feeling about the scheduling bloodbath. It was announced last month that from January, both Loose Women and Lorraine will air only 30 weeks per year, as opposed to their current year-round schedules. Lorraine's run time was also slashed from an hour to 30 minutes. ITV will also axe more than 220 jobs - nearly half its daytime TV staff, who also work on Good Morning Britain and This Morning. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Former Coronation Street star Sue told the Express: 'We've been through it at Corrie as well and these are people's lives, and I just feel very much for all the production and the crew because people are struggling. 'It's affecting young families and it's obviously been a pretty hard time for people to hear that. 'But, you know, we have to just embrace change, and we'll see what happens.' She is not the only panellist to speak out against the changes, with fellow Loose Women host Nadia Sawalha having hit out at them too. The presenter, 60, choked back tears last month as she described scenes of 'shock and fear' in the corridors at ITV after 'hundreds' of shock redundancies and pay cuts. Nadia - one of the show's most popular presenters, present from its first series in 199 - also admitted even she does not know her fate on the show. She explained she is self-employed and 'could be let go tomorrow'. Speaking alongside her husband Mark Adderley on the couple's YouTube channel she explained: 'Do you know what? At the moment, all of us on screen are in work and are proud of what we do. 'But behind the scenes, there are people that are really suffering and what you don't realise is when you attack the show, you attack them, because you never see all the army of people behind the scenes and how hard they work.' Struggling to hold back her tears, Nadia added: 'So, to all my friends and colleagues behind the scenes who have just got a huge shock out of the blue: I'm so sorry. 'Mark knows how upset I've been at home about it. I just can't bear it. So, just be f*****g kind to people.' Earlier in the video, Nadia explained: 'What people don't realise at Loose Women is that we're self-employed, I am self-employed. Every contract is a new contract.' Commenting on the unpredictability of television work, she added: 'I could be let go tomorrow, in five years, you don't know because we're not employees. 'So, I can't tell you anything except I am on for my next contract. 'What has been brutal over the past week - and I am getting tearful about it - is that hundreds of people are going to be made redundant out of the blue. 'A lot of my friends and colleagues have been there for decades and I cannot tell you how upsetting it was to see people walking around numb with shock and fear about what they are going to do. Commenting on the unpredictability of television work, she added: 'I could be let go tomorrow, in five years, you don't know because we're not employees' 'That has been so awful. It has been worse than whatever trolls have been saying about our show that we feel really protective of.' On top of all the other cuts coming in January, the beleaguered Loose Women will also have another vital part of their show axed. MailOnline revealed earlier this month the series is scrapping the live studio audience when the programme airs with a reduced schedule of just 30 episodes next year. The change is a further blow to panellists including Ruth Langsford, 65, Kaye Adams, 62, Nadia Sawalha, 60, and Charlene White, 44, who rely on audience reactions to create atmosphere. Bosses have got rid of the studio audience to save costs, with insiders revealing that it's an expensive feature due to being managed by an external company, who also provides security and a warmup person, but for the presenters, it's going to be a 'disaster.' It comes after ITV announced dramatic budget cuts to their daytime schedule from halving Lorraine to 30 minutes and only airing the show during school term times to cutting Loose Women's output to 30 weeks a year. And sources have told MailOnline how key talent on Loose Women are 'upset' to see the live studio audience go because it's what sets the season apart from Lorraine and Good Morning Britain amid fears viewers will 'switch off' altogether.
