Jointly produced by Ravi Dubey and Sargun Mehta under the banner of Dreamiyata Entertainment, the new show stars Amandeep Sidhu, Sheezan Khan, and Shubhangi Latkar in the main roles. All about Kumkum Bhagya Produced by Ekta Kapoor, Kumkum Bhagya spanned multiple generations of characters over the years. The Balaji Telefilms show starred Sriti Jha and Shabir Ahluwalia as its first lead pair. They were replaced by Mugdha Chaphekar and Krishna Kaul, followed by Rachi Sharma and Abrar Qazi. The show also featured actors like Mrunal Thakur, Madhurima Tuli, and Supriya Shukla as recurring characters. In the current season, Pranali Rathod plays the role of Poorvi and Rajvansh's daughter and Shivansh's wife, Prarthana Malhotra. Namik Paul is cast as Smita's biological son and Prarthana's husband, Shivansh Randhawa. Kumkum Bhagya was originally based on Jane Austen's novel titled Sense and Sensibility. The show was a massive success on television for a decade. The on-screen chemistry between the original leads, Sriti Jha and Shabir Ahluwalia, was a major highlight of the show. A Star-Studded Ramayana: Roles Revealed Ramayana is one of the most awaited mythological films in recent memory and features a stellar ensemble cast. Indira Krishnan will portray Kausalya, the noble and compassionate mother of Lord Ram, while Ravi Dubey steps into the pivotal role of Lakshman, Ram's loyal brother and trusted companion in his journey. The film also stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as the fierce Ravana and Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and backed by producer Namit Malhotra, the film aims to be a grand visual and emotional retelling of the age-old tale of righteousness, sacrifice, and triumph of good over evil. The film is being crafted as a two-part epic, with the first instalment scheduled for a grand Diwali release in 2026. The sequel is expected to follow in 2027. On July 3, Ravi Dubey shared the official teaser of Ramayana on his Instagram handle. Expressing his gratitude and excitement, he wrote, 'It's the greatest honour of my life to be part of a story that has shaped generations. Welcome to the world of Namit Malhotra's Ramayana, the immortal story of Rama vs Ravana." The three-minute teaser opens with symbolic visuals of the holy trinity — Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva before setting the tone for the epic clash between Lord Ram and the ten-headed demon king, Ravana. He's been more than a family to us. He's still battling with 4th stage cancer in Nanavati hospital since the last two weeks. It's been an overwhelming journey for all of us to see him go through this. He's fighting it bravely. We have exhausted our funds and we need immediate funds to save him. Please pray for his recovery and do contribute whatever you can for his hospital treatment. Your wishes and prayers have helped us earlier too. Thank you for the immense love and prayers."
