Ravi Dubey and Indira Krishnan prayed at Kashi Vishwanath's Annapurna Devi shrine, seeking blessings for their film Ramayana.
Actors Ravi Dubey and Indira Krishnan were recently seen offering prayers at the sacred Annapurna Devi shrine within the Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi. The duo visited the revered site to seek divine blessings before starting shoot for their upcoming film, Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari.

Indira Krishnan was seen in a graceful blue printed kurta set, accessorised with a brown cross-body bag, traditional jewellery including bangles and a necklace and holding a vivid orange flower garland. Ravi Dubey, on the other hand, opted for a radiant yellow kurta paired with classic white pyjama pants. He was adorned with a large floral garland made of white and green blooms.
A Star-Studded Ramayana: Roles Revealed
Ramayana is one of the most awaited mythological films in recent memory and features a stellar ensemble cast. Indira Krishnan will portray Kausalya, the noble and compassionate mother of Lord Ram, while Ravi Dubey steps into the pivotal role of Lakshman, Ram's loyal brother and trusted companion in his journey.
The film also stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as the fierce Ravana and Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and backed by producer Namit Malhotra, the film aims to be a grand visual and emotional retelling of the age-old tale of righteousness, sacrifice, and triumph of good over evil.
The film is being crafted as a two-part epic, with the first instalment scheduled for a grand Diwali release in 2026. The sequel is expected to follow in 2027.
On July 3, Ravi Dubey shared the official teaser of Ramayana on his Instagram handle. Expressing his gratitude and excitement, he wrote, 'It's the greatest honour of my life to be part of a story that has shaped generations. Welcome to the world of Namit Malhotra's Ramayana, the immortal story of Rama vs Ravana."
The three-minute teaser opens with symbolic visuals of the holy trinity — Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva before setting the tone for the epic clash between Lord Ram and the ten-headed demon king, Ravana. Accompanied by a powerful score composed by global legends Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman, the teaser promises a mythical spectacle that blends storytelling, emotion and cinematic brilliance.
