TV star looks unrecognisable with the late Whitney Houston as she shares throwback pictures to celebrate anniversary - can you guess who it is?
A well known TV star looked unrecognisable with Whitney Houston as she shared sweet throwback pictures to celebrate an iconic anniversary to Instagram on Saturday. The now 81-year-old posed alongside the singing legend as she shared an insight behind the scenes when creating I Wanna Dance With Somebody. Whitney died aged 48 in 2012 in California - a coroner's report indicated the singer, who struggled with substance abuse, had accidentally drowned in the bathtub due to a combination of heart disease and cocaine use. To celebrate the song's 38th anniversary, this celebrity posted a picture of herself, aged 43 in 1987, wearing a black jumper and yellow corduroy trousers. Her brunette locks was cut into a short pixie look and she opted for a no-makeup look while on set. Sat on a chair in front of her, Whitney stunned as she wore her iconic pink and blue eye shadow makeup. With her hair volumised and accessorised with pink roses, Whitney looked happy as she flashed a smile for the camera. But can you guess who the other celebrity is? That's right, it's Arlene Phillips. Alongside the picture, Arlene penned: 'In honour of | Wanna Dance with Somebody being released on this day in 1987, some cherished behind the scenes photos from making the music video which amazingly has over 500 million views on @youtube. 'I never dreamed at the time my choreography could be seen by so many @whitneyhouston' Arlene also shared a black-and-white picture of Whitney getting the last finishing touches to her makeup before shooting the iconic music video. To finish the heartfelt tribute, Arlene posted a snap of Whitney looking elegant in a little black dress, classic black court heels and large hoop earrings. Arlene worked with Whitney on two of her biggest hits and its choreography, I Wanna Dance With Somebody and How Will I know. I Wanna Dance With Somebody in early May in 1987 and first hit the charts on the 23rd of that month. It spent spent two weeks at number one on the UK charts, eight weeks in the top ten and 25 weeks in the top 100. The song was a commercial success and became her fourth No.1 single and her first Platinum single in the U.S. It went on to win Best Pop Vocal Performance, Female at the 30th Grammy Awards. The song was written by George Merrill and Shannon Rubicam - who also wrote How Will I Know - and produced by Narada Michael Walden. Whitney passed away in 2012 and her daughter, Bobbi, died three years later after a drug-related incident in the bathroom of her home in Georgia.

Share Regularly serenaded by Bournemouth fans who have tailored the lyrics of Whitney Houston's 'I Wanna Dance With Somebody' in homage to their Ukrainian centre-back, Illia Zabarnyi is expected to start today after serving a three-match ban. Out injured since November, Julian Araujo and Marcos Senesi are both back in training but will not feature today. Adam Smith and Enes Unal remain sidelined. During his pre-match press conference, Thomas Frank said there is 'a good chance' Brentford defender Sepp van den Berg will be back today after three matches out with a knee injury. Michael Kayode, Aaron Hickey and Rico Henry are all back in full training but are unlikely to be fit enough to feature, while Josh Dasilva, Igor Thiago, Fabio Carvalho and Gustavo Nunes are all out. Share Without a win in three Premier League games following defeats at the hands of Wolves and Brighton followed by last Sunday's draw against Tottenham Hotspur, Bournemouth welcome a Brentford side seeking a club record fifth consecutive top flight win on the road to the Vitality Stadium. Despite their poor recent results, Bournemouth haven't actually played that badly and actually monstered Spurs last Sunday, only to gift them a point courtesy of an act of unnecessary largesse on the part of their goalkeeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga. Qualification for next season's Champions League remains a very real possibility for Andoni Iraola's side but this evening they host a Brentford side with European aspirations of their own. Kick-off at the Vitality Stadium is at 5.30pm (GMT) but we'll have team news and build-up in the meantime. View the Premier League table Share

Robert Pattinson ‘kind of said yes' to Mickey 17 film before seeing script
Robert Pattinson has revealed he 'kind of said yes' to being in Bong Joon-ho's new film Mickey 17 before seeing the script. In the film the Twilight actor plays Mickey Barnes, whose body is continually regenerated after he dies while undertaking dangerous work assignments. Speaking to the PA news agency at the film's world premiere, the 38-year-old said: 'I wanted to work with director Bong so much and I kind of said yes before I'd even seen the script, and he wouldn't tell me what it was about. 'And when you get sent the script, I mean, this is a pretty bizarre movie, when you see the script you're like, 'What, how is this happening?' 'And when you see how bizarre the script is, and then see that it's like, the scale it's on, it's like Star Wars. 'I mean, it's really, really, really crazy.' Pattinson appeared on the red carpet alongside his co-star Naomi Ackie, who told PA: 'This is a role that I would have been probably quite afraid of a few years ago. 'What I love is that I'm approaching my job as a practice. 'It's like every job I do, I try and get better, and it's kind of trial and error, and I'm taking it easy on myself and trying to have as much fun and stay as present as possible. 'And I'm just loving the journey.' Ackie, 32, who is known for her TV and film roles including in musical biopic I Wanna Dance With Somebody, wore an elegant, black ensemble to the event on Thursday while Pattinson opted for a sleek, dark blue suit. Pattinson played vampire Edward Cullen in the Twilight film series and is also known for portraying Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire, Connie Nikas in Good Times, and Bruce Wayne in The Batman. Bong Joon-ho, 55, won the best director Oscar for thriller Parasite in 2020. His other films include Memories Of Murder (2003), Snowpiercer (2013), and Okja (2017). Mickey 17 will be released in the UK and Ireland on March 7 by Warner Bros Pictures.

Mavericks fans ejected over 'Fire Nico' protests amid growing animosity over Luka Doncic trade
It was an exodus of disgruntled Dallas Mavericks fans at American Airlines Center on Monday night after security was seen escorting several people out of the arena after they called for general manager Nico Harrison's job following the Luka Doncic trade. Security escorted out several fans that either held up "Fire Nico" signs or shouted out the phrase during the Mavericks' one-point loss to the Sacramento Kings. During a karaoke segment where fans sang along to Whitney Houston's "I Wanna Dance With Somebody," one man was shown on the Jumbotron mouthing the phrase "Fire Nico." The camera quickly panned away. That same man was also seen holding a sign with the same phrasing. He and another man holding the sign were later seen being escorted away from their seats in a video shared on social media. According to The Dallas Morning News, two more fans were escorted out in the fourth quarter. Each time, the escorts were met by boos from fans in the surrounding area. Doncic led the NBA in scoring last season and helped the Mavericks reach an NBA Finals appearance, but was dealt away to the Los Angeles Lakers in one of the most controversial trades in recent memory. Fans have since expressed their disdain for Harrison, the mastermind behind the trade, prompting the organization to reportedly increase his security before Saturday's game over the weekend. The Lakers acquired Doncic, Maxi Kleber and Markieff Morris, while the Mavericks got Anthony Davis, Max Christie and Los Angeles' 2029 first-round pick. To complete the deal, the Utah Jazz acquired Jalen Hood-Schifino and two second-round picks. But Davis sustained a groin injury in his debut for Dallas and will be sidelined at least through the All-Star break.
