Morgan Wallen Matches Justin Bieber And Jay-Z

Morgan Wallen scores 29 new Hot 100 hits thanks to his I'm the Problem album, tying Jay-Z and Justin ... More Bieber at 105 total entries in the process. The superstar and Tate McRae debut their collaboration "What I Want" in first place, and the country superstar sends dozens of tracks from his latest album, I'm the Problem, to the tally. As a deluge of cuts from I'm the Problem reach the Hot 100, Wallen adds significantly to his career total of placements, passing an important milestone and tying with two of the most successful musicians of the past several decades. All 29 new appearances on the Hot 100 are taken from I'm the Problem. As those two dozen-plus tracks arrive, the singer-songwriter increases his career total to 105 placements on the roster, according to Billboard. With exactly 105 Hot 100 wins to his credit, Wallen is now tied with Justin Bieber and Jay-Z, who have also accrued just as many. Both of those artists had quite the head start and spent well over a decade accruing smashes before Wallen's career really took off. Neither has been particularly focused on music lately, so their sums haven't increased significantly in recent years. Thanks to I'm the Problem, Wallen has now snagged four No. 1 hits. Two of them — "Love Somebody" and the brand new "What I Want" with McRae — opened in first place. He also reached the summit with his solo hit "Last Night" taken from his previous album One Thing at a Time, and "I Had Some Help," his collaboration with Post Malone. In total, Wallen has landed 17 top 10 smashes, including nine from his latest full-length. The record for the most Hot 100 hits is still owned by Drake, and it may always be. He is up to 358 placements on the tally, nearly 100 more than the runner-up, Taylor Swift, who claims 264. Also included in this exclusive club, which now features 21 artists, are names like Future, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, The Weeknd, and Eminem.

Morgan Wallen Matches Taylor Swift's Historic Chart Feat

Morgan Wallen is the king of the Hot 100 this week. No matter how one looks at the numbers, the country superstar dominates the ranking of the most popular songs in the United States, with dozens of tracks taken from his new No. 1 album, I'm the Problem. As his deluge of music arrives, the singer-songwriter matches a feat only one other artist in American history has accomplished. Wallen fills 37 spots on the Hot 100 this frame. That's a new all-time record for the most real estate ever claimed by a single artist on the list at one time. He bests his own previously-set mark of 36 wins on the Hot 100, which he managed during one frame in March 2023. Wallen is now only the second musical act in the history of the Billboard charts to claim 30 wins on the Hot 100 simultaneously on more than one occasion. He joins Taylor Swift in this incredible feat. Swift filled 30-plus positions on the Hot 100 in back-to-back weeks just a year ago. When her new album The Tortured Poets Department arrived, she claimed 32 slots on the tally. During the following frame dated May 11, 2024, just one cut dropped off the list. Only one other artist has scored 30 or more Hot 100 hits at one time — and amazingly, he did so just a few months ago. Playboi Carti landed 31 simultaneous smashes in late March, thanks to the massive debut of his album Music. In addition to conquering the Hot 100 by breaking the all-time record for the greatest number of hits at one time, Wallen also leads the charge again. He and Tate McRae debut their collaboration "What I Want" — the latest single from I'm the Problem — at No. 1. The country superstar also fills the next two highest slots, as "Just in Case" and "I'm the Problem" rise to Nos. 2 and 3, respectively, with the former hitting a new peak. Wallen scores half a dozen top 10s this week, which is also a first for him and an incredibly rare showing for any musician.

Post Malone Breaks A Tie With Himself As His Country Era Continues

Post Malone rises on the Hot 100 this week alongside Morgan Wallen, as the latter country star dominates Billboard's list of the biggest songs in America. Their second collaboration, "I Ain't Coming Back," jumps 10 spaces to No. 15 as Wallen's new album, I'm the Problem, arrives at No. 1 with the largest debut of the year. Wallen fills dozens of spaces on the tally, with a number of his pre-released tunes skyrocketing, while many others appear for the first time. As "I Ain't Coming Back" lifts, "I Had Some Help" — which first brought Malone and Wallen together — declines, but still manages to find room on the ranking. That's no easy feat during this packed week, and it ensures the tune continues to move up in Malone's discography. The duet drops six spaces to No. 19 on the current edition of the Hot 100. The track, a former leader, has now spent 54 weeks on the list of the most consumed tracks throughout the United States. It currently stands as Malone's second-longest-charting title ever on the competitive tally. Just last week, "I Had Some Help" was tied with "Sunflower," Malone's collaboration with Swae Lee, for the honor of being his second-longest-running Hot 100 win. Both tracks were locked with 53 stays on the roster, but now his first major country hit has pushed past that mark for good, nudging "Sunflower" to third place. Whether "I Had Some Help" will be able to match Malone's all-time best showing is difficult to predict. That honor belongs to "Circles," which spent 61 weeks somewhere on the chart. "I Had Some Help" is still going strong, but it's flirting with falling off the ranking, as Billboard has a rule that states after a full year, tracks must rank above No. 25 or else they are removed — usually for good. The Wallen duet needs another seven weeks to match "Circles," which seems like a lofty goal, but certainly not an impossible one — especially as the Hot 100 becomes less competitive in a week or two, once I'm the Problem and its many album tracks begin to fade.

Music Review: Morgan Wallen's 'I'm The Problem' will be everywhere. Buckle up

NEW YORK — Morgan Wallen says he's the problem. And soon, he'll be yours. The country megastar's fourth studio album, 'I'm the Problem,' will be everywhere imminently if it isn't already — just like his earlier records, the last of which outsold Taylor Swift . It is a collection of earworm hooks and twangy big belts about whiskey and women, the kind that has made Wallen unignorable.

Morgan Wallen's New Album Easily Soars To No. 1 The Moment It Drops

Morgan Wallen's new album I'm the Problem debuts at No. 1 on iTunes, with all seven singles also ... More landing in the top 15 on the Top Songs chart. KNOXVILLE, TENNESSEE - SEPTEMBER 20: Morgan Wallen performs onstage for night one of his One Night At A Time tour at Neyland Stadium on September 20, 2024 in Knoxville, Tennessee. (Photo byfor Morgan Wallen's One Night At A Time 2024) Morgan Wallen has been heavily promoting his new album I'm the Problem for almost a year now, even though the set only just arrived. The country superstar began pushing singles from the project last summer and has only ramped up the excitement surrounding what is sure to be a blockbuster release in the past few weeks. The 37-song effort has finally dropped and is likely to dominate a number of Billboard charts next week, based on just its first few hours of availability. The collection has already become a strong seller in the United States, as fans rush to buy not just the full-length, but also many of the tunes featured on its tracklist — especially those pushed as major singles. I'm the Problem opens at No. 1 on the iTunes Top Albums chart, easily standing out as the bestselling new release of the week. On what is considered one of the most important platforms for full-length purchases and digital downloads in the U.S., the Grammy nominee outpaces new projects from stars like Jin of BTS, Sleep Theory, and even the deluxe edition of Linkin Park's From Zero. Two of Wallen's three other full-lengths appear on the same ranking and are both surging, as all the excitement around his latest project seems to be fueling his previous efforts as well. One Thing at a Time, his most recent set before I'm the Problem, rockets more than 50 spaces to land at No. 66, at the time of writing. His debut full-length If I Know Me is back at No. 131. Only Dangerous, his sophomore studio effort, is missing. All seven singles from I'm the Problem appear inside the top 15 on the iTunes Top Songs tally. Five of them — "Superman," "I'm the Problem," "Just in Case I Ain't Coming Back" with Post Malone, and "I'm a Little Crazy" — are still present inside the top 10, which is a massive showing on a busy Friday. Three other cuts from the full-length — "Love Somebody," "Smile," and "Lies Lies Lies Lie" — aren't far behind. They currently sit at Nos. 12, 13, and 14, respectively. In the coming hours and days, several other tracks from I'm the Problem may emerge as standalone bestsellers, and it's likely the album will hold its No. 1 position for the remainder of the tracking week.
