Taylor Swift Curates Playlist for New Album ‘The Life of a Showgirl'
Taylor Swift has officially announced her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, and may have hinted at key collaborators in the process. Accompanying the album announcement, Swift launched a Spotify playlist aptly titled And, baby, that's show business for you. The playlist features 22 tracks, all previously released songs produced by Max Martin and Shellback, sparking speculation that the iconic duo may have produced this upcoming album as well. Earlier today, the pop icon shared the announcement of her new album, following speculation of a new era from Swift began on Monday (Aug. 11) when rumors of her 12th studio album were stoked thanks to the appearance of a countdown clock on her official website. The countdown officially ended at 12:12 a.m. ET, on Aug. 12, with Swift's store going live with pre-orders for The Life of a Showgirl. The webstore offers pre-orders for vinyl, CD and cassette editions, while noting that its official release date is still to be announced, with physical items set to ship ahead of Oct. 13. On Monday morning, New Heights — the podcast hosted by Swift's boyfriend Travis Kelce and his brother, fellow NFL star Jason Kelce — teased 'a VERY special guest' for their new episode on Wednesday. Swift's upcoming presence was later confirmed, with her cameo on New Heights set to premiere at 7 p.m. ET on Wednesday (Aug. 13). In a clip shared to both Swift and New Heights' Instagram accounts alongside the announcement, the pop icon gives fans confirmation that the new project is indeed the #TS12 news they've been waiting for. 'So I wanted to show you something,' Swift says, before presenting a blurred-out copy of her new record. 'This is my brand new album, The Life of a Showgirl.' The album's full artwork is expected to arrive during the New Heights podcast on Wednesday. Cardi B Announces New Single "Imaginary Players": Here's When It Arrives
Yara Sameh Bardi Gang, rejoice, because Cardi B's next single is coming very soon. The rapper announced on Monday that she'll be releasing her newest single 'Imaginary Players' on Friday, August 15. 'Just a lil taste of the drama. IMAGINARY PLAYERS THIS FRIDAY,' she wrote on Instagram while sharing a photo of herself with pink hair in front of a white Rolls Royce while draped in a matching white fur coat. 'Imaginary Players' will arrive two months after her 'Outside' hit. The two songs will be featured on Cardi's long-awaited sophomore album "Am I the Drama?," which is out September 19 via Atlantic Records. Her duet 'WAP' with Megan Thee Stallion and 'Up' will also be featured on the album, a decision that Cardi has defended since announcing the album. 'This will be the last and only time I'm gonna address this,' she wrote on X . 'WAP and Up are two of my biggest songs, my fans have been asking me to put them on an album, and people search for them on IOP all the time… they deserve a home.' Cardi B announces new single ‘Imaginary Players' ahead of long-awaited sophomore album
Cardi B has officially announced the release of her next single, 'Imaginary Players,' set to drop this Friday, August 15. The rapper shared the news on Instagram with a bold promotional image featuring her in pink hair, draped in a white fur coat and posing in front of a white Rolls Royce. 'Just a lil taste of the drama. IMAGINARY PLAYERS THIS FRIDAY,' she wrote in the caption. The track will be part of her upcoming sophomore album Am I the Drama?, which is slated for release on September 19 via Atlantic Records. This marks her first full-length project since 2018's Invasion of Privacy, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, won the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album, and later made history as the first album by a female rapper to have all tracks certified platinum or higher by the RIAA. 'Imaginary Players' follows the success of her recent single 'Outside,' which topped both the Rhythmic Airplay and Rap Airplay charts earlier this month. It also entered the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 10, becoming Cardi B's 13th top 10 hit. In addition to 'Imaginary Players' and 'Outside,' the new album will include her chart-topping collaborations 'WAP' with Megan Thee Stallion and 'Up.'
