Indianapolis 500 2025 qualifying order

Indianapolis 500 2025 qualifying is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday on the 2.5-mile Indianapolis Motor Speedway oval. Positions 13-30 for the May 25 race will be established Saturday, while positions 1-12 and 31-33 will be determined Sunday. One driver will not make the race. We will update this list as teams pick their place in the qualifying order. All drivers are guaranteed one qualifying run on Saturday. After the first round, cars that want to make additional runs slot into two lanes throughout the afternoon. Going through the priority lane gets a car onto the track sooner, but the previous attempt must be withdrawn. Going through the second lane allows drivers to improve on a previous qualifying time without withdrawing it. With sunny skies and temperatures in the upper 60s forecast for Saturday, track conditions may not be as volatile as usual. Here is the qualifying order for the first round on Saturday. You can listen on IndyCar Radio and SiriusXM Channel 218 Saturday, May 18 All times ET 8:30-9:30 a.m.: Practice with cars divided into two groups, each getting 30 minutes 11 a.m.-5:50 p.m.: Qualifying (all day on Peacock) Sunday, May 19 (Practices will be on Peacock) Noon-1 p.m.: Top 12 practice 1-2 p.m.: Last chance qualifiers practice (Qualifying on NBC) 3:05-4:05 p.m.: Fast 12 4:15-5:15 p.m.: Last chance qualifying, for positions 31-33
