Owner and buffalo Awang to part after five years
AFTER five years of caring for a 650kg buffalo named Awang, owner Muhammad Faris Aiman in Kuantan is selling it for RM12,000, Harian Metro reported. He explained that he was doing so not because of financial problems but that he had come to realise it was time to let go. 'I have had offers in the past but I wasn't ready to sell it then,' said Muhammad Faris, 25. He said Awang was gifted to him by his father when the buffalo was just one year old. The buyer, he said, wanted to donate Awang to a madrasah for a sacrificial ritual. For Hari Raya Haji this year, he said he had sold 300 cows so far. > Mila Mohsin, the daughter of the late actor Hani Mohsin, is all set to have an acting career, Harian Metro reported. She will appear in the movie Laknat, which premieres on June 5. 'My mother has given me her blessing to be involved in films,' said Mila, 31, referring to Puan Sri Tiara Jacquelina. Mila, who is also a jujitsu trainee, said she was fortunate to have had the chance to learn from her parents. > The venue of the comeback concert by nasyid group Inteam has been switched to a bigger place in view of the overwhelming reception from their fans, Berita Harian reported. This came about after the tickets, which went on sale on May 23, were taken up within two hours. The venue was changed from Zepp Kuala Lumpur to Idea Live Arena in Petaling Jaya that could accommodate about 5,000 fans. Konsert Kasih Kekasih 25 Tahun Inteam, originally slated for Sept 27, was also pushed a day later. Nasyid Group Inteam's Upcoming Concert Has Separate Seating For Men & Women
When buying tickets for a concert, you can't choose who you will sit next to unless you go in pairs or a group. However, attendees at the upcoming Inteam concert can rest assured that they'll at least be sitting next to someone of the same gender. Yesterday (20th May 2025), the Muslim musical group Inteam released details for their upcoming concert, 'Konsert Kasih Kekasih 25 Tahun'. The concert will take place on 27th September 2025 (Saturday) at Zepp Kuala Lumpur. For those unfamiliar with the group, Inteam is a Malaysian musical group focusing on nasyid or Islamic hymns. The group have been active since 2000 and is considered one of Malaysia's most popular nasyid acts. Given that Inteam is an Islamic musical group, it's understandable that the concert will come with a different set of rules to show respect to their Muslim fans and their religion. One of the more notable differences between Inteam's concert and other musical acts is the seating plan. As shown in the official poster, the group's concert will have separate seating for men, women and families across all the different zones. Since this seating arrangement is quite unusual for a concert, it sparked a lot of comments from netizens. However, most comments reacted positively to the move, with some even quipping that Inteam is respecting the 'halal gap'. Others also noted that it's good that the musical act is doing this, saying it shows how Muslims can still enjoy concerts and entertainment without going against their religion. However, the seating arrangement also led to some confusion. As seen in the comment section of Inteam's Instagram post, some fans had questions about which zone they should purchase if they were going with their siblings or as a husband-and-wife pair. Thankfully, the organisers assured that siblings of different genders and husbands and wives can choose to sit in the family zone. There will also be crew members at the concert to help assist the audience with their seats. It's worth noting that Malaysian star Nur Fazura also had a dedicated women-only zone for her 2022 'Faztival Fazura' concert, so the idea isn't completely foreign. What are your thoughts on this?
