HARRIS COUNTY, Texas - A Houston-area neurologist is charged with online solicitation of a minor, according to the Harris County Constable Precinct 1 office. Officials said 43-year-old Dr. Jason Robert Thonhoff was arrested Thursday by the constable's Internet Crimes Against Children Unit. Court records stated the investigation began in 2023 and documented an array of sexually explicit actions by Thonhoff as recently as late April, as he sought to prey on a deputy posing as a teenage girl. What they're saying "Let this be a warning to predators: we patrol cyberspace and we will catch you," Alan Rosen, Harris County Constable for Precinct 1 said. "We will do all we can to protect the most vulnerable members of our society…"You could be talking to an undercover officer on the other line. That should be the message to them. Go get help. He should be seeking help, because he's got a problem." "Parents, with your kids up in their rooms. You need to monitor their online chats. All of their online platforms to make sure there's not a predator on the other side talking to your child," said Rosen. Midwest City man arrested on multiple charges of alleged child pornography
MIDWEST CITY, Okla. (KFOR) — On Thursday, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) arrested a man on multiple alleged child pornography charges. OSBI's Internet Crimes Against Children Unit (ICAC) received an online cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) back in August of 2024. During the investigation, special agents with OSBI were able to identify the alleged suspect as 18-year-old Andrew Thibeault. According to OSBI, on April 10, 2025, a search warrant was served at Thibeault's home in Midwest City by the OSBI ICAC Unit, the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office, the Oklahoma County District Attorney's Office, and the Oklahoma City Community College Police Department. The evidence gathered during the search warrant process led to Thibeault's arrest, he was booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on charges of Child Exploitation and Violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act. OSBI says this is an ongoing investigation. Two K9's move on to finals in CSPD K9 March Madness
(COLORADO SPRINGS) — After the Colorado Springs community weighed in with their votes, two exceptional pups have moved on to the finals for the Colorado Springs Police Department's (CSPD) K9 March Madness. The winners of CSPD's annual competition are chosen by the police department's Facebook page followers. The dog whose photo receives the most likes on the day of the matchup is the winner and goes to the next round. Below is a recap of CSPD's coverage of the 'Furry Final Four' round. For a recap of round two, click here. K9 Creed is a big boy at 80 lbs. He's a 3-year-old German Shepherd born in Hungary in April 2021. K9 Creed began working with CSPD in March 2023 and is certified in narcotics detection and patrol work, including apprehension, tracking, and article location. He loves going to work, but when he's off duty, he can often be found lying on his back at home. Creed loves attention and getting many pets. He's often called 'Big Friend,' but one should never mistake his kind nature for weakness. K9 Luna Pixel is a seven-year-old Labrador Retriever who has helped protect children in the Internet Crimes Against Children Unit (ICAC) for the last five years. She never backs down from a challenge and has an amazing sniffer that can detect electronics (cell phones, computers, SD cards, etc.). She loves her work, but she's also a loving partner to her handler and co-workers, and really loves to play. She will only drop her toy for a cheese ball. K9 Loki is a Belgian Malinois and Dutch Shepherd mix who was born in Holland in April 2023. He was certified in patrol and narcotics work and joined CSPD in April 2024. Loki loves to safeguard Colorado Springs and really enjoys acting as a co-pilot when riding around in the car for work. When off duty, he enjoys spending time with his family, getting belly rubs, and zooming around the backyard as fast as he can. K9 Kai is a veteran K9, having worked with CSPD since 2019. He's a 6-year-old Belgian Malinois and German Shepherd mix who comes from Hungary. He is a dual-purpose K9 who loves to assist his human partners and has responded to hundreds of calls. He's been able to bark convincingly at a hundred suspects, getting them to surrender safely. When not at work, he loves playing ball, hanging out with his sister Skylar, and going on runs. Because his handler knows he's the best boy ever, Kai gets to enjoy a special monthly Barkbox treat, for which he is always excited. CSPD announced that the final day of K9 March Madness is on Tuesday, April 1. Deputies find 1 million child porn images on hard drives seized from Forsyth Co. man's home
Investigators have analyzed computer hard drives seized at a Forsyth County man's home in January and identified over a million child pornography images and videos on those devices. Elvis Beltran Pineda was arrested in January in Operation Bytedown, a statewide operation sponsored by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation's Internet Crimes Against Children Unit. The operation focused on peer-to-peer networks that collectors of child pornography use to download and trade movies and images with others in the network. On March 3, detectives obtained 15 additional warrants for Pineda. Two of those warrants were for distribution of child sexual abuse material and 13 of them were for possession of child sexual abuse material. The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office Warrant Unit arrested Pineda at his home. He was booked into the county jail without bond.
