Govt signs MoU with Spain-headquartered firm to develop AI ready data centre
Indore: The Madhya Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation (MPSEDC) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with a Spain-headquartered global company specialising in data centre cooling technology. The MoU with Submer Technologies SL was signed to establish a strategic collaboration to jointly develop up to 1 gigawatt (GW) of next-generation, AI-ready data centre capacity in Madhya Pradesh. The agreement was signed during Invest in Madhya Pradesh Business Forum held in Barcelona in presence of chief minister Mohan Yadav. In a post on X, Yadav said, "At the Invest in Madhya Pradesh Business Forum held today in Barcelona, the capital of Spain, detailed discussions were held with entrepreneurs on immense potential for investment and trade in Madhya Pradesh, and they were invited to explore opportunities in the state. On this occasion, an MoU was also signed between @MPSeDC_DST and @submertech." "It is a matter of pride that Madhya Pradesh successfully earned the trust of global investors through its stable governance, industry-friendly policies, simplified procedures, and prompt decision-making," he said. Submer Technologies, known for its vertically integrated solutions spanning data centre hardware, design, and AI infrastructure services, will provide advisory services, design certification, and capability-building support to enable successful execution of the roadmap. "The vision of Madhya Pradesh to lead India's green digital transition finds a strong alignment with Submer's commitment to climate-conscious infrastructure. This MoU marks the beginning of a robust partnership that will catalyse local employment, skill development and innovation, while building scalable infrastructure for the AI era," said department of science and technology additional chief secretary Sanjay Dubey. A visit from the team of Submer Technologies SL is scheduled for later this month to identify prospective sites and engage with ecosystem partners in the state.

MP CM in Spain on official tour
Bhopal, July 16 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav is on an official visit to Spain from today to Saturday. He will address the 'Invest in Madhya Pradesh Business Forum' in Madrid and participate in high-level meetings related to industry, tourism, sports, culture and film production. Day one will begin with a courtesy call by India's Ambassador to Spain, Dinesh K Patnaik, followed by the Chief Minister's participation as chief guest in the Forum. During the session, senior officials will give presentations on tourism, industrial policy and investment, information technology and infrastructure sectors. The Forum will commence with a welcome address by Ilayaraja T, Secretary to the Government of Madhya Pradesh and Secretary to the Chief Minister. The President of the Spain-India Council Foundation, Juan Ignacio Entrecanales, will also address the Forum. Rohan Grover, Chief Executive Officer of Nature Biofoods, shall share his experiences. Yadav will provide detailed insights to participating industrialists about investment opportunities across various sectors in Madhya Pradesh. During the networking lunch, he shall interact with prominent Spanish industrialists and representatives of different organisations. The Chief Minister will also attend a presentation by the renowned sports infrastructure design and consulting firm Populous, delivered by Jorge Betancourt. The session shall focus on the development of modern sports infrastructure in Madhya Pradesh. Later, the President of the Spain Film Commission will meet with the Chief Minister to discuss international-level film shooting and collaboration opportunities in Madhya Pradesh.
