The MoU with Submer Technologies SL was signed to establish a strategic collaboration to jointly develop up to 1 gigawatt (GW) of next-generation, AI-ready data centre capacity in Madhya Pradesh.
The agreement was signed during Invest in Madhya Pradesh Business Forum held in Barcelona in presence of chief minister Mohan Yadav.
In a post on X, Yadav said, "At the Invest in Madhya Pradesh Business Forum held today in Barcelona, the capital of Spain, detailed discussions were held with entrepreneurs on immense potential for investment and trade in Madhya Pradesh, and they were invited to explore opportunities in the state.
On this occasion, an MoU was also signed between @MPSeDC_DST and @submertech."
"It is a matter of pride that Madhya Pradesh successfully earned the trust of global investors through its stable governance, industry-friendly policies, simplified procedures, and prompt decision-making," he said.
The partnership aims to significantly reduce energy consumption, water usage, and environmental footprint, aligning with global efficiency benchmarks for data centre operations.

Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway to sell 4.3 million shares of THIS company worth over $4 billion. What we know…
Berkshire Hathaway will sell about one-third of its more than $4 billion stake in VeriSign, an internet infrastructure and domain name registry company that Warren Buffett's conglomerate has invested in since 2012, VeriSign said on Monday. VeriSign, based in Reston, Virginia, said the sale of 4.3 million shares was intended to reduce Berkshire's stake to below 10%, a threshold that triggers regulatory obligations. Berkshire's stake would fall to 9.6% following the sale, according to a prospectus, and Buffett's company may sell an additional 515,032 shares to meet demand. VeriSign will receive no proceeds from the sale. As of March 31, Berkshire owned 13.29 million VeriSign shares, or about 14.2% of the company, regulatory filings show. Those shares were worth about $4.07 billion based on VeriSign's closing price of $305.98 on Monday. VeriSign shares traded at less than one-sixth that level when Berkshire began buying. In after-hours trading, VeriSign fell 6% to $287.77. Berkshire ended March with $347.7 billion of cash, and through that month was a net seller of stocks for 10 straight quarters. It had nevertheless been adding to its VeriSign stake as recently as January. Berkshire's smaller investments in technology-related companies have often been spearheaded by Buffett's portfolio managers, Todd Combs and Ted Weschler. Buffett, 94, has run Omaha, Nebraska-based Berkshire since 1965. He is expected to step down as chief executive at year end, and be replaced by Vice Chairman Greg Abel, 63. Buffett would remain chairman. JPMorgan Securities is underwriting the VeriSign share sale. (With inputs from Reuters)

Mid-2025 Indian economy cautiously optimistic: Finance ministry
(AI image) New Delhi: The Indian economy in mid-2025 presents a picture of cautious optimism, a finance ministry report said on Monday, but it cautioned that in the medium term, given the ongoing momentous shifts in global supply chains in semiconductor chips, rare earths, and magnets, India has its task cut out. "Despite global headwinds marked by trade tensions, geopolitical volatility, and external uncertainties, India's macroeconomic fundamentals remained resilient," said the finance ministry's monthly economic outlook for June. "Aided by robust domestic demand, fiscal prudence, and monetary support, India appears poised to continue as one of the fastest-growing major economies," the report said, adding that various forecasts projected economic growth for FY26 in the 6.2-6.5% range. The report stated that despite monetary easing and a strong bank balance sheet, credit growth slowed, reflecting cautious borrower sentiment and possibly risk-averse lender behaviour. "A growing preference for bond markets, particularly commercial papers among corporates due to lower borrowing costs, may also explain the shift. Piggybacking on initiatives like the Employment Linked Incentive (ELI) scheme, it is time for corporates to set the ball in motion," said the report. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Indonesia: Unsold Sofas Prices May Surprise You (Prices May Surprise You) Sofas | Search Ads Search Now Undo The report also cautioned that despite the broadly positive outlook, downside risks remain. "While geopolitical tensions have not elevated further, the global slowdown, particularly in the US (which shrank by 0.5% in Q1 2025), could dampen further demand for Indian exports," said the report. At 1.5%, industrial growth slows to 10-mth low in June
NEW DELHI: Industrial output growth slowed to a 10-month low in June, dragged down by a contraction in mining and electricity sectors and sluggish capital goods and consumer durables segments. Data released by the National Statistics Office (NSO) on Monday showed the index of industrial production (IIP) rose an annual 1.5% in June, slower than the upwardly revised 1.9% in May and below the 4.9% recorded in June last year. The mining sector contracted 8.7% in June compared with a growth of 10.3% in June last year, and the electricity sector fell 2.6% during the month compared to a growth of 8.6% in June last year. The manufacturing sector remained resilient, rising 3.9% during June compared to a growth of 3.5% in June last year. Experts attributed the slowdown to excess rains which had weighed on mining and electricity sectors. "Excess rains in the second half of June 2025 are likely to have weighed on mining output, while also leading to a contraction in electricity generation, although the extent of the same narrowed compared to the previous month. Encouragingly, the growth in manufacturing output improved to 3.9% in June 2025 from 3.2% in May 2025," said Aditi Nayar, chief economist at ratings agency Icra. The data also showed weakness in other segments of the industrial sector. The capital goods sector, a key gauge of industrial activity, remained sluggish during the month, rising by 3.5% in June compared to a growth of 3.6% in June last year. The consumer durables sector slowed in June, rising by 2.9% compared to a growth of 8.8% in June last year while the consumer non-durables sector contracted by 0.4% during the month compared to a decline of 1% in June last year. "On the demand side, signals remain mixed. Output of consumer non-durables goods continued to remain weak, staying in the contractionary zone for five consecutive months, while output of consumer durable goods improved. Urban consumption, in particular, remains lagging," said Rajani Sinha, chief economist at ratings agency CareEdge.
