Al Jalila Foundation Expands ‘Wellness on Wheels' Initiative to Al Barsha Park
Al Jalila Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Dubai Health, has launched the second phase of its Wellness on Wheels mobile clinic initiative at Al Barsha Park, reinforcing its commitment to accessible healthcare services. Operating daily until March 30, from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm, the mobile clinics provide free primary medical consultations, diabetes screenings, vital signs monitoring, and essential medical referrals. This follows a successful first phase at Al Khawaneej Park during the initial two weeks of Ramadan. The initiative is in collaboration with the Islamic Affairs & Charitable Activities Department and the Dubai Sports Council. Dr. Dhoha Alawadhi, Director of Community Engagement Programmes at Al Jalila Foundation, emphasized the initiative's impact, stating, 'Our mobile clinics are designed to reach diverse community groups, from labourers and senior citizens to orphans and People of Determination. By bringing healthcare to them, we eliminate barriers to access.' Patients requiring further medical attention are referred to the nearest facility, with financial aid available through the A'awen programme, ensuring cost is never an obstacle to receiving care. Azizi Developments pledges AED 80 million to the Islamic Affairs & Charitable Activities Department for mosque construction and maintenance
Azizi Developments, a leading private developer in the UAE, has signed a landmark agreement with the Islamic Affairs & Charitable Activities Department in Dubai to support the construction and maintenance of mosques across the emirate. Under the agreement, Azizi Developments will sponsor the maintenance of ten mosques for five years, and will build five mosques, at combined total of AED 80 million. Founder and Chairman of Azizi Developments, Mr. Mirwais Azizi, has signed the agreement in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Chairman of The Executive Council of this important contribution, Mr. Mirwais Azizi commented: "In this holy month of Ramadan, I am pleased to announce the construction of five mosques, as well as a special donation to the Islamic Affairs & Charitable Activities Department to help maintain ten mosques, in Dubai. We see it as important to give back to the communities we operate in, with Dubai – our home that has supported and given us so much throughout our journey – being our priority. By building and maintaining these mosques, with even more to come in the future, we aim to create spaces that foster community, reflection, and connection, enhancing the spiritual and social fabric of the emirate."This donation reflects Azizi's ongoing commitment to community development, social responsibility, and enhancing the quality of life for residents in the emirate and beyond.
