Pusha T responds to Kanye West saying he misses their friendship

Pusha T has broken his silence on Kanye West's recent comments about missing their friendship, offering a blunt yet confident response. During a recent interview, the Clipse rapper was asked about Ye's statement in which the controversial artist expressed regret over the fallout between them. Pusha didn't hold back in his reaction. 'I don't care about that at all. It's fine. I would miss me, too. I really would,' he said, making it clear that he has moved on and isn't looking back. The comment, while short, signals that reconciliation isn't on his radar—at least not anytime soon. Kanye West and Pusha T were once close collaborators, with Ye producing Pusha's critically acclaimed albums Daytona (2018) and It's Almost Dry (2022). However, the relationship appeared to fracture in recent years due to creative differences, political tensions, and Kanye's increasingly controversial public behavior. While Ye recently told fans he misses his friendship with Pusha, the response from the G.O.O.D. Music president-turned-independent artist makes it clear that he's focused on his own path. The comment adds another chapter to the complex relationship between two of hip hop's most influential figures. Fans have long speculated about the status of their friendship, but based on Pusha's latest remark, a reunion seems unlikely.

Ye Says He Misses Pusha T's ‘Friendship' After Being Name-Dropped in New Clipse Song

Ye (formerly Kanye West) misses the G.O.O.D. times. Yeezy took to X on Friday (May 30), extending an olive branch to his former right-hand collaborator, Pusha T, after King Push name-dropped West on the new Clipse single. More from Billboard A Look at All the Rappers Ye Has Beefed With Linkin Park Perform 'In the End', 'Numb' at UEFA Final in Munich Duran Duran Reunite With Nile Rodgers at Abbey Road Studios 'I miss me and Pusha's friendship,' Ye wrote of his ex-G.O.O.D. Music president. West seemed to get wind of Pusha's jab at him on the Pharrell-produced 'Ace Trumpets,' which is the lead single from Clipse's Let God Sort Em Out album. 'Sold ecstasy and disappeared, I am Whodini/ Look at them, him and him, still waitin' on Yeezy/ I hope you got your squeegees/ At your interviews, I just ki-ki,' the Virginia native raps. Pusha T stood in West's corner for years before reaching his breaking point and distanced himself from G.O.O.D. Music and Ye in 2022 after a series of controversial statements surrounding antisemitism and political affiliations from West were too much to bear. '[It's] nothing to tap dance around. It's wrong. Period,' Push told XXL in 2022. 'But to me, it's just me and him having a difference of opinion yet again.' He continued: 'If you ain't with it, you ain't down. And I ain't with it. I'm not budging on that. I'm not with it. I heard about this new [Infowars] stuff. I don't know. It's something that just sort of tells me he's not well, at the same time. I will say that. It's going to places where it's no way to move around it.' Pusha T joined the G.O.O.D. Music family in 2010 and remained with the label through his 2022 album It's Almost Dry. Ye produced the entirety of his 2018 Daytona album, which was nominated for a Grammy Award. West also helmed half the production of It's Almost Dry, while Pharrell held down the other half. It remains to be seen if Ye and Push can make amends in the coming months. Clipse's Let God Sort Em Out album drops on July 11. Listen to 'Ace Trumpets' below.
