Costa Ronin Joins ‘The Terminal List' For Season 2
EXCLUSIVE: Costa Ronin (For All Mankind, The Americans) has been cast as a recurring guest star on Prime Video's The Terminal List for Season 2, starring and executive produced by Chris Pratt. Created by David DiGilio, the series follows James Reece after his entire platoon of Navy SEALs is ambushed during a high-stakes covert mission. He returns home to his family with conflicting memories of the event and questions about his culpability. But as new evidence comes to light, Reece discovers dark forces working against him, endangering not only his life, but the lives of those he loves. Season 1 was based on Jack Carr's novel of the same name, and Season 2 is drawing from Carr's book True Believer. Season 2 of The Terminal List is executive produced by Pratt through Indivisible Productions, DiGilio, Antoine Fuqua and Kat Samick through Hill District Media, author Carr, former Army Ranger Max Adams, and former Navy SEAL Jared Shaw. The Terminal List is a co-production from Amazon MGM Studios and Civic Center Media, in association with MRC. Ronin recently wrapped on season 5 of the Apple TV+ series For All Mankind and Season 4 of The Morning Show, also from the streamer. Additional credits include the Netflix series Obliterated, the NBC series Endgame, directed by Justin Lin, The Americans on FX Network, and Homeland for Showtime. On the comedy side, Ronin was a regular opposite Jenna Fischer in the ABC half-hour single-camera comedy Splitting Up Together. In film, he can be seen starring in the independent feature ISS, opposite Chris Messina, which debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival. Other recent film credits include Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, directed by Quentin Tarantino opposite Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, and Margot Robbie, as well as Brighton Beach starring opposite FKA Twigs. Ronin is repped by Link Entertainment. ‘The Bondsman' Canceled By Prime Video After One Season
Prime Video has opted not to proceed with a second season of its supernatural action drama The Bondsman starring Kevin Bacon. The news comes more than a month after all eight half-hour episodes of the series, from showrunner Erik Oleson and Blumhouse Television, dropped on April 3 after a premiere at SXSW. In a promising sign, The Bondsman made the Nielsen Top 10 streaming rankings in its premiere week, coming in at #9 on the Originals chart with 563 million minutes of viewing. More from Deadline J.R. It has remained on Prime Video's platform Top 10 list, currently at #5 in the U.S. It also has scored high with critics and viewers, averaging 83% on Rotten Tomatoes but has failed to generate buzz on social media. In The Bondsman, murdered bounty hunter Hub Halloran (Bacon) is resurrected by the Devil to trap and send back demons that have escaped from the prison of Hell. By chasing down those demons with the help and hinderance of his estranged family, Hub learns how his own sins got his soul condemned — which pushes him to seek a second chance at life, love, and country music. The series is from Blumhouse Television, Marker 96 and CrimeThink Production Company. Executive producers included Oleson, who also served as showrunner, Jason Blum, Jeremy Gold, Chris Dickie and Chris McCumber for Blumhouse Television, Bacon, Paul E. Shapiro as well as Grainger David, who created the series. Erik Holmberg served as co-executive producer. Scott Foley to Play a Minister in Faith-Based Drama for Amazon
Not to be confused with And Just Like That…, TV's Scott Foley is set to star in It's Not Like That, a faith-based drama for Prime Video. According to Variety, which first broke the news, Foley will play Malcolm, a minister and newly widowed family man. The series hails from Ian Deitchman and Kristin Robinson, whose previous credits include Prime Video series As We See It, Carnival Row and Z: The Beginning of Everything. The role of Lori has not yet been cast. Foley, whose myriad TV credits include Felicity, Scandal and The Unit, is currently recurring on ABC's Will Trent; Dr. Seth McDale, the confident and down-to-earth head of emergency medicine at a local hospital and Angie's new romantic interest, will be introduced in Episode 8 of Season 3.
