OAFF And Savera Drop Feel-Good Monsoon Track ‘Matcha', Inspired By A Rainy Day Jam Session

Last Updated: Composer-producer duo OAFF & Savera return with 'Matcha', a breezy pop single born from a rainy day jam session in Goa. Fresh off the success of their previous hits, dynamic musical duo OAFF and Savera are back with a lighthearted new pop single titled 'Matcha'. Released on August 7, 2025, the track is a breezy, romantic ode to spontaneous creativity, brewed—quite literally—during a rainy day in Goa. Known for their genre-defying sound and intuitive collaborations, OAFF and Savera composed, produced, and penned 'Matcha' together. The track blends chill electronic pop with a summery vibe, evoking the fluttery thrill of early love—the kind that makes you want to linger just a little longer. With its mellow groove and infectious charm, 'Matcha' is the perfect soundtrack for monsoon days and lazy afternoons. Born From Craving, Crafted With Joy In a candid revelation, OAFF recalled the track's unusual origin: 'About 2 years ago, Savera and I were in a secluded spot in Goa for a songwriting camp. I was really craving a cup of matcha, but it was raining so we couldn't step out or order in. Out of that moment of frustration, we ended up creating this track just as a playful distraction—it wasn't meant to be released. But over time, it stuck with us, and our friends loved it too." View this post on Instagram A post shared by Kabeer Kathpalia (@oaffmusic) Savera echoed the sentiment, highlighting the track's effortless charm: 'There was no overthinking in writing Matcha. And that's what the song represents. It's a feel-good, easy-going song—lighthearted, groovy, and perfect for days when you just want to slow down." A Fan-Fueled Celebration To mark the release of 'Matcha', the duo hosted an intimate teaser launch party in Mumbai. More than 50 lucky fans got a first listen to the track, participated in a matcha-blending workshop, and took home custom matcha kits. The evening also featured an impromptu live performance by OAFF and Savera—an experience that perfectly mirrored the casual joy that birthed the song. The official music video, composed of moments from this launch event, is now live on their YouTube channel, further strengthening the artists' connection with their growing community of listeners. A Track Record of Innovation 'Matcha' follows a string of acclaimed releases by the duo, including 'Ittefaq' with Siddhant Chaturvedi, and 'Jaadu' from Netflix's Jewel Thief. Their joint discography is as emotionally resonant as it is sonically diverse, from 'Gehraiyaan' and 'Doobey' to 'Udja' from Coke Studio Bharat. With credits across web series, films, and non-film projects, OAFF & Savera continue to blur boundaries between mainstream and independent music. They have also earned critical acclaim with multiple award nominations, including IIFA, Filmfare, and Mirchi Music Awards, solidifying their status as two of India's most forward-thinking music creators. Whether you're a fan of the drink or just in need of a feel-good tune for a grey-skied day, 'Matcha' is now streaming on all major platforms. This 56 year old Rajesh Khanna film was a blockbuster hit, got 7.4 IMDb rating, was just made in 20 days.., the film is...

In the ever-evolving world of cinema, many films come and go. They entertain us, stay with us for a few hours or maybe a day, and before we know it, they vanish from our memory. However, every once in a while comes a rare film that remains etched in our memories for years to come. One such example of this was a film that became a major blockbuster. It was released during the time of the golden era, and this rare gem continues to resonate even decades later. The film that we are talking about is none other than Ittefaq. Released in the year 1969, this timeless psychological thriller was directed by one of the most celebrated filmmakers, Yash Chopra. However, what's interesting is that this film had no songs at all. This step was rare and uncanny during that time. The film also featured the legendary superstar Rajesh Khanna, who played the lead. The story of this film was inspired by the American movie Signpost to Murder. However, Rajesh Khanna's impeccable performance and Yash Chopra's incredible direction gave it an all the new twist. The plot revolves around a painter, Dillip Roy (portrayed by Rajesh Khanna), who is accused of murdering his wife. Later, when the trial happens, the court declares him mentally unfit and orders an asylum admission. However, on a stormy night, Dilip escapes the asylum, and a lonely woman called Rekha gives her shelter. Rekha also has a troubled life. Her husband usually stays away from home and is out for work most of the time. Soon, Rekha and Dilip starts vibing and sharing a bond over their troubled lives. The plot goes deep when Dilip tells Rekha at gunpoint not to tell anyone about his whereabouts. As the night progresses, Rekha disappears while Dilip falls asleep. Dilip wakes up and starts looking for Rekha in the house. Then finds something fishy in the bathroom that shocks him completely. What happened next was a series of twists and turns that shocked viewers. This mysterious thriller of Rajesh Khanna was a blockbuster hit, its strong storyline kept the audience hooked throughout, and now 56 years after its release, it's creating a stir on OTT. What's interesting is that this film was just wrapped in 20 days. The film has a rating of 7.4 out of 10 on IMDb and is currently available on Amazon Prime Video.

Akshaye Khanna had predicted 25 years ago that Aishwarya Rai will go on to become a 'very fine actress': 'She is very beautiful, not just from outside...'

Akshaye Khanna foresaw Aishwarya Rai's potential nearly 25 years ago, predicting her rise to stardom before their film 'Taal.' He admired her beauty, cheerful nature, and impressive performance, believing she was destined for greatness. Years later, Akshaye still finds Aishwarya captivating, acknowledging her undeniable allure and the mesmerizing effect she has on him. Akshaye Khanna 's early belief in Aishwarya Rai 's talent has truly stood the test of time. Nearly 25 years ago, just before the release of their hit film Taal, Akshaye predicted that Aishwarya would become a remarkable actress — a prediction that proved spot-on as she went on to carve a legendary career in Bollywood. In an interview with Lehren Retro Akshaye revealed that he believed Aishwarya would become a very talented actress. He mentioned that Taal was their second film together, having previously worked with her in Aa Ab Laut Chale, and praised her beauty. The actor also praised Aishwarya's inner qualities, highlighting her cheerful and lively nature. He felt that her positive attitude and impressive performance in Taal showed that she was destined to become a very talented actress. This wasn't the first time Akshaye praised Aishwarya. In 2017, during the promotions of his film Ittefaq, when Karan Johar asked him about the sexiest woman in the industry, Akshaye didn't hesitate to name Aishwarya. He admitted that every time he meets her, he can't take his eyes off her, something he found both captivating and a bit embarrassing—unlike others, he isn't used to being so mesmerized by someone's presence. After Taal, Aishwarya starred in several iconic films such as Mohabbatein, Devdas, Umrao Jaan, Dhoom 2, Guru, and Jodha Akbar. These movies earned her widespread acclaim from both critics and audiences, cementing her status as one of Bollywood's leading actresses.

When Akshaye Khanna called Aishwarya Rai Bachchan ‘very beautiful': ‘Not just from the outside…'

Akshaye Khanna and Aishwarya Rai collaborated on three films, Aa Ab Laut Chale, Taal and Humara Dil Aapke Paas Hai. While in the first two films, the actors played each other's romantic interest, in the third film, Akshaye had a cameo. Their film Taal, directed by Subhash Ghai, was a blockbuster hit at the box office. Taal was among Aishwarya's first movies after she marked her debut in 1997. While Aishwarya went on to become a superstar in her later years, her co-star Akshaye Khanna had already predicted that she would become a 'very fine actress'. In an interview with Lehren Retro, Akshaye had predicted about 25 years ago, just before the release of their film Taal that Aishwarya will go on to become a 'very fine actress'. He said, 'I have worked with Aishwarya before in Aa Ab Laut Chale. Taal is my second one with her. She is very beautiful.' The actor added, 'Not just from the outside but also from the inside. She is always smiling and laughing. Always cheerful. I guess she is going to be a very fine actress. She has performed amazingly in Taal.' He said, 'Ash (Aishwarya Rai)'. The actor added, 'I can't take my eyes off her every time I meet her. It's embarrassing for men. She must be used to it (people staring at her). But I am not used to not being able to take my eyes off somebody. You just keep staring at her like a lunatic.' Post Taal, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan went on to star in films like Mohabbatein, Devdas, Umrao Jaan, Dhoom 2, Guru, Jodha Akbar, all of which became iconic films over the years and gained her immense praise from critics and the audience.
