Rotary Club honours three organisations in Coimbatore
The Rotary Club of Coimbatore Centennial presented the Vocational Excellence Awards at a ceremony held in the city on Friday, recognising contributions to healthcare, entrepreneurship, and rural development.
The awards were part of the club's centennial celebrations and were presented to three organisations with longstanding involvement in various sectors of public service.
PSG & Sons' Charities was recognised for its role in education and healthcare. The award was received by J. S. Bhuvaneswaran, Director of PSG Hospitals.
Lakshmi Ceramics was honoured for its initiatives in promoting entrepreneurship and community service. S. Muthuraman, Managing Director of Lakshmi Ceramics, received the award.
Aroma was acknowledged for its rural development work and outreach initiatives. R. Ponnuswamy, Managing Director of Aroma, received the award on behalf of the organisation.
K. C. Srinivasan, President of the Rotary Club of Coimbatore Centennial, presented the awards in the presence of chief guest Basker Chockalingam, former Rotary International Director and Chairman of VNC Group, and guest of honour N. Sundaravadivelu, District Governor of Rotary District 3201.
The event was attended by members of various Rotary Clubs and invited guests, including A. V. Varatharajan, Founder and Chairman of Sandfits, and T. S. Ramani Sankar, Chief Architect of Sankar & Associates.
