Fire razes 17 houses in Kinarut settlement

The Fire and Rescue Department received the call at 11.22pm and arrived at the scene 16 minutes later, with the blaze brought under control by 12.25am and fully extinguished by 4.06am. No injuries were reported in the incident, which involved homes of semi-permanent and non-permanent structures over an area of 200 by 200 feet. Road accident in Kimanis leaves two with light injuries

The Fire and Rescue Department received the emergency call at 5.53am and arrived at the scene, 4 kilometres away, within six minutes. Advertisement Both drivers, a 51-year-old man in the Toyota Vios and a 35-year-old man in the Proton Saga, suffered minor injuries. Firefighters administered initial treatment and ensured the area was safe from further hazards. One trapped, one thrown out in Bongawan van accident

One of the victims was thrown out of the Nissan Urvan while the other was trapped inside the vehicle. Fire and Rescue personnel from Kimanis Fire Station arrived at the scene within 20 minutes after receiving an emergency call at 6pm, and extricated the trapped victim using special rescue tools.
