JCI to hold blood donation campaign at Suria on July 13

Kota Kinabalu: Junior Chamber International (JCI) Tanjung Aru will be organising a community blood donation campaign, Red Saver, at Suria Sabah Shopping Mall on July 13. The drive, to be held from 10am to 5pm on the second floor of the mall, aims to encourage Sabahans to contribute to the life-saving cause of donating blood. Advertisement 'Each donation can potentially save up to three lives – including accident victims, surgery patients and individuals suffering from critical illnesses,' said the organisers. The event will also feature free health screening booths and hourly lucky draws for successful donors. Donors will also receive goodie bags and discount vouchers from participating businesses (terms and conditions apply). Several medical and wellness partners will be supporting the initiative, including PMG Pharmacy, Sunway Medical Centre, Optimax Eye Specialist, and Perform Plus Physiotherapy. Their booths will offer free consultations, eye checks, physiotherapy advice and wellness tips. Healthy individuals aged between 18 and 60, weighing at least 50kg, are encouraged to participate. Donors are reminded to bring their MyKad or passport for registration. 'Red Saver is more than just a blood donation drive – it's a celebration of community care and compassion,' said the organising team. JCI Tanjung Aru hosts pickleball workshop

Kota Kinabalu: JCI Tanjung Aru proudly hosted an engaging pickleball workshop, 'Picklepals Day,' at PickleCollective, located in Pacific Sutera, with the aim of introducing the sport of pickleball to the local community. The event was graced by Datuk Jannie Lasimbang. The workshop featured an introduction to the sport, a demonstration session, and a series of station games designed to give participants hands-on experience and a fun, interactive way to learn pickleball. JCI Malaysia Sabah Convention makes history in Keningau

Organized by JCI Tanjung Aru, the convention drew 101 young leaders from across Malaysia and beyond, with a quarter of attendees coming from outside Sabah. Delegates also toured EcoYap Farm to learn about sustainable agriculture.
