Jennifer Love Hewitt and Sarah Michelle Gellar 'haven't talked in years'
Jennifer Love Hewitt hasn't talked to Sarah Michelle Gellar in decades. The 46-year-old actress starred alongside Sarah in 1997's I Know What You Did Last Summer, and Jennifer has now laughed off rumours of a feud between herself and her former co-star. Asked about their rumoured falling out, Jennifer told Vulture: "I haven't seen Sarah. Literally, we've not talked since I saw her at 18 years old when the first movie came out. That's why it's so funny to me. "People were like, 'Say something back.' And I'm like, 'What am I going to say? I've not seen her.' On my side, we're good. I have no idea where this is coming from." Jennifer actually feels proud of Sarah and other actresses of their generation who have managed to survive in Hollywood for so long. The movie star said: "There are people [who] blow up and are hugely famous, and then there are those little warriors from the '90s who just keep going. I secretly root for all those people." Sarah's husband, Freddie Prinze Jr, stars in the new I Know What You Did Last Summer movie alongside Jennifer. And Sarah recently dismissed rumours of a falling out between herself and her former co-star, after they weren't spotted together at the premiere in Los Angeles. In a post on Instagram, Sarah wrote: "For everyone asking - I never got to see @jenniferlovehewitt, who is fantastic in the movie. "I was inside with my kids when the big carpet happened. And unfortunately JLH didn't come to the after party. "If you have ever been to one of these it's crazy. I sadly didn't get pics with most of the cast. But that doesn't change how amazing I think they all are. Unfortunately some things happen only in real life and not online. (sic)" Sarah previously shared pictures from the event on the social media platform and wrote: "What a night!!! Still can't believe ... years later (no need to date myself) I got to walk the red carpet at another premiere of @ikwydlsmovie. "Still starring the most handsome man I know @realfreddieprinze but this time directed by my best friend @jennkaytin and written by Jenn and @samlansky. I love this movie sooooo much and this cast!! (sic)"

Jennifer Love Hewitt is opening up about her relationship (or lack thereof) with Sarah Michelle Gellar. The two notably appeared in 1997's I Know What You Did Last Summer together, playing teenage friends alongside Ryan Phillippe and Freddie Prinze Jr. But from the sound of it, they're not nearly as close as their onscreen characters, with Jennifer recently telling Vulture that she has not "seen" or "talked" to Sarah since 1997, "when the first movie came out." She made the comments while addressing feud rumors, which were sparked in December when Sarah's seemingly "annoyed" reaction to a question about Jennifer's involvement in the new sequel movie went viral. Jennifer and Freddie both reprise their roles in the film, which was released today. Regarding the speculation, Jennifer told Vulture, "I honestly don't even know what that was or how that all came to be. I just think people don't want the narrative to be easy. Why do we always have to be against each other and out for each other?" When asked whether she'd discussed the situation directly with Sarah, Jennifer replied, "I haven't seen Sarah. Literally, we've not talked since I saw her at 18 years old when the first movie came out. That's why it's so funny to me. People were like, 'Say something back.' Sharing a "shady" new Instagram post decades after the two 90s stars' original alleged feud, the 48-year-old Buffy actress has left fans stunned by shading fellow star Jennifer, 46. 5 5 5 Sarah recently took to her Instagram page to share the new trailer of the I Know What You Did Last Summer movie reboot - the movie that both Sarah and Jennifer starred in back in the 90s, as well as both being due to appear in the 2025 reboot. Tagging several cast mates, Sarah tagged Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, Sam Lansky, Madelyn Cline, Gabbriette, Sarah Pidgeon, Chase Sui Wonders, and Sarah's husband Freddie Prinze Jr. Despite Jennifer Love Hewitt due to star in the movie, as per the announcement last December, Sarah did not tag her. Taking to Reddit, one eagle-eyed fan noticed how Sarah shared a post and did not include Jennifer. "This one takes us back the glory days of the late 90's," the post began. "Apparently, Sarah Michelle Gellar uploaded the attached pic to her stories, and tagged everyone except for Jennifer Love Hewitt."
