Jonas Brothers Give Update on Their Long-Awaited Memoir Nearly 6 Years After Announcing Title
The Jonas Brothers are urging fans to 'please be patient' with them as they continue to work on their forthcoming memoir. PEOPLE was in attendance at the JONASCON event on Saturday, March 22, where Nick, Kevin and Joe Jonas unveiled a photo of their long-awaited book Blood, and finally shared new details about their memoir years after announcing it was in the works. During the keynote portion of the event held in New Jersey, an image of the band's new book appeared on the big screen as they joked onstage it was 'the wrong slide.' Nick, 32, then said, 'There's a lot of things in motion and you know, we had that book ready to come out and we looked at each other and said 'our story is just beginning to be told. There's a lot more we want to write.' So please be patient as we continue to tell this story that each and every one of you are a part of." The singer shared that the memoir right now is 'just not ready," saying, "We've got to live some more life, do some more stuff, but we appreciate y'all and your patience." Related: Joe Jonas Compares Jonas Brothers' 2013 Breakup to a 'Tsunami' in Excerpt from Forthcoming Book Fans have been waiting a long time for the release of the band's upcoming memoir after they announced it almost six years ago. The book was initially described as being told through each brother's perspective and journeys in the band behind closed doors, from their formation in 2005, to their breakup in 2013 and reunion six years later. In June 2021, Joe, 35, posted an excerpt from the memoir on Instagram, writing, 'The tsunami inside of me built until it broke and crashed through everything in its path… But sometimes things need to break down so they can be built up again on a stronger foundation. As we grow through our lives, I know I'll always have my brothers, as family, as friends, and as BLOOD.' The book was slated to be released by Dey Street Books in November 2021 before being put on hold. The Jonas Brothers announce 20th anniversary tour dates, including a concert in Milwaukee
The Jonas Brothers are coming back to Milwaukee for their fourth concert in town in six years. Sunday morning, the JoBros — Nick, Joe and Kevin — announced plans for their 'Jonas20: Living the Dream' tour, marking the brothers' first two decades in show business. The 43-date tour, a mix of stadium and arena shows, starts Aug. 10 in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and includes an Oct. 12 concert at Milwaukee's Fiserv Forum. Fans can sign up for the artist presale through 9 a.m. March 26 at the presale is on March 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tickets go on sale starting at 10 a.m. March 28. Ticket prices weren't immediately available. Sunday's tour announcement was part of the launch of JONASCON, a "celebration of 20 years of Jonas Brothers" including live performances, panels, fan events and more held Sunday in East Rutherford (New Jersey is the Jonases' home state). According to Sunday's announcement, the tour "will take fans on a full, career-spanning journey — with dedicated sets from every chapter of Jonas including Nick Jonas & the Administration, Nick Jonas' solo career, Joe Jonas' solo work and DNCE," with the Jonas Brothers headlining the show. Several other openers are also on the tour; the All-American Rejects are the non-Jonas opening act for the Milwaukee stop. Considering how often they play Milwaukee, the JoBros' Fiserv Forum date wasn't a surprise. The Jonas Brothers last played Milwaukee in November 2023, with a massive performance that touched on 65 songs over two and a half hours before a nearly sold-out crowd at Fiserv Forum. Journal Sentinel music critic Piet Levy called the show "the Jonas Brothers' take on Taylor Swift's 'Eras Tour,' with the band adding the deepest cuts to tried-and-true setlist hits from their five-album discography, with one-off songs and side-project singles along the way." Before that, they headlined Summerfest in the fall of 2021 and Fiserv Forum in 2019.
