The Jonas Brothers Are Canceling Stadium Tour Dates for Smaller Venues

Cosmopolitan8 hours ago

In case you aren't locked into the Jonas Brothers side of the internet, allow me to catch you up to speed. The JoBros are headed back on the road this summer after the wild success of their JONASCON, which took place at the iconic American Dream mall in their home state of New Jersey.
Aside from dropping a delicious ice cream collab with Friendly's, the trio is ringing in their 20th anniversary by embarking on their JONAS20 tour. They initially booked stadiums for the impressive feat, and now, the brothers are scaling those stadium shows back to smaller venues for a more intimate experience.
Kevin, Nick, and Joe Jonas broke the news to fans with an official statement posted to their joint Instagram account on Friday, June 13. 'Every decision we make is with you in mind, ensuring the best experience for our incredible fans. We're making some venue changes, but rest assured, all performances are still happening on the same dates and in the same cities,' they wrote, in part.
They continued, 'We're pouring our hearts into making this the best tour we've ever done. We love performing for you and sharing this journey together.'
Fans who already bought tickets for the stadium shows will automatically receive refunds, and TicketMaster buyers who want another chance at scoring tickets to the smaller venues will receive first priority pre-sale access for the new performances. According to the Jonas Brothers' statement, access to the priority presale is tied to the TicketMaster account used during the initial sale, and no additional code will be needed.
The tour's venue change has affected shows in Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Chicago, Detroit, Dallas, and Los Angeles. They're still set to take place on the originally scheduled dates, instead at these respective venues: Jiffy Lube Live, Freedom Mortgage Pavilion, the Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre, Little Caesars Arena, Dos Equis Pavilion, and Intuit Dome.

‘Modern Family' child star Aubrey Anderson-Emmons, 18, comes out as bisexual

Aubrey Anderson-Emmons is coming out for Pride Month. The 'Modern Family' alum — known for playing Lily Tucker-Pritchett in the beloved sitcom — revealed she is bisexual in a video that paid homage to her character. In the social media clip posted via Threads on Monday, June 16, Anderson-Emmons was seen lip-syncing to an iconic scene from the ABC show, in which her character tells her TV dad, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and Sofía Vergara she's gay. Mitchell Pritchett (Ferguson) then interjects, 'Honey, no, you're not gay. You are just confused!' Her caption read, 'happy pride month to all and to all a goodnight hehehe #modernfamily #lily #pridemonth #bi #pride🌈.' Threads Will Now Let You Hide Spoilers, but Logging Off Is Still Free

If you're one of those people who refuses to look at social media out of fear of spoilers, Meta's Instagram-adjacent Threads app has a solution it hopes will keep you doomscrolling anyway. The new tool will let people mark words in their posts as 'spoilers,' preventing eyeballs who haven't yet watched, say, a certain episode of The Last of Us from learning a certain beloved main character's grisly fate. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the feature 'let users hide text or images that spoil a piece of entertainment (or anything that can be spoiled), simply by marking it as a spoiler. When a user marks it a spoiler, the text or image will be blurred until whoever is seeing the post selects it and asks to know more.' That sounds similar to Reddit's feature that lets users hide potentially spoiler-y text when posting in forums discussing recent TV shows, for instance. So far, Threads is the only social media platform to offer such an option; X and BlueSky, THR points out, do not have anti-spoiler tools in place. In theory, it's a great idea. However, it's on the person posting to deploy the feature, which means it's up to individuals to decide what they think is a spoiler and what's not—as well as what an acceptable 'window' is for blabbing about a major plot twist. For some, it might be a week; others, it might be 'as soon as the thing happens in my time zone.' And really, there's a greater question at work here: what are you doing on social media at all if spoilers are that important to you? Inevitably, someone's gonna spill the beans—even if you're carefully only treading on Threads—and you'll only have yourself to blame for seeing whatever they wrote.

Meghan Markle talks sharing life 'on my own terms' after viral delivery room video

Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, is getting candid about sharing her life on social media. The mom of two and former actress recently sat down for an interview with the "Aspire with Emma Grede" podcast, set for release Tuesday, and spoke about a video she shared that recently went viral. In a promotional clip shared on YouTube ahead of Tuesday's podcast episode, Meghan opens up about the video, which shows her dancing with her husband Prince Harry in the delivery room before the birth of their daughter, Princess Lilibet. "That wasn't yesterday," Meghan says in the promotional clip. "That was four years ago. So it's also a really great reminder that with all the noise or whatever people do, there's a whole life -- a real, authentic, fun life that's happening behind the scenes." "I'm just grateful that now, being back on social as well, I have a place where I can share it on my own terms," she added. Earlier this month, Meghan shared several memories of Lilibet on her birthday, including the video of herself and Harry dancing to the viral song "The Baby Momma Dance" in the delivery room at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, California, ahead of Lilibet's birth. The video is among many personal moments Meghan has shared on her official Instagram account, @meghan, since launching the page in January. Recently, she also shared a sweet Father's Day tribute to Harry, which included several video clips with their two children, Lilibet and older brother Prince Archie.
