Colvin Shield: Open selection trials in Pali, Bikaner & Jodhpur
1 2 Jaipur: Dispelling concerns that ongoing disputes might derail team selections for Pali, Bikaner and Jodhpur districts, Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) ad hoc committee convener and BJP MLA Jaideep Bihani has announced open selection trials for the Colvin Shield, scheduled to begin from June 7. The RCA's ad hoc panel has been grappling with controversies surrounding the Pali, Bikaner and Jodhpur district cricket associations (DCA). Following complaints of alleged irregularities, committee convener Bihani revoked the recognition of the Pali and Bikaner DCAs. Additionally, the Jodhpur DCA's elections have not yet received the convener's approval. Bihani has formed a panel to oversee the team selection process for the three districts, ensuring the tournament remains on track. "Open selection trials for these three teams will be held at the district centres in the presence of the RCA supervisor and the team will be picked by the selectors authorised by the RCA," said ad hoc member Vimal Sharma from Bihani coterie. To participate in the selection trials, players are required to bring the following original documents with them: computer generated birth certificate, bonafide certificate, marksheet of last three years and aadhar card/voter ID/driving license/passport. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Encontre voos low-cost Voos | Anúncios de Pesquisa Saiba Mais Undo Dharamveer criticises Bihani for sidelining 4 ad hoc panel members: Ad hoc panel member and Pali DCA secretary Dharamveer Singh Shekhawat defended the decision to hold the tournament, stating, "There's nothing wrong with conducting the Colvin Shield, and we support it fully." However, he sharply criticised Jaideep Bihani for marginalising committee members. "In this entire process, Bihani has sidelined four out of six ad hoc committee members, showing disregard for the registrar and the Sports Act, and acting against the constitution. Furthermore, no proper norms were followed in appointing the three selection committees. All four of us - Dhananjai Singh Khimsar, myself, Ratan Singh Shekhawat, and Harish Chandra Singh - have formally raised these concerns in letters to the state chief minister, registrar, state sports minister, and sports secretary," asserted Dharamveer, representing the Dhananjai group. Bihani claims support of 18 DCAs, appoints ombudsman
1 2 Jaipur: The Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) ad hoc committee convener and BJP MLA Jaideep Bihani has appointed retired Supreme Court Justice Deepak Verma as the ombudsman, 'in line with Lodha Committee recommendations'. This decision follows the 'approval' of 18 District Cricket Associations (DCA), who authorised Bihani to appoint the ombudsman, ethics officer and election officer, as well as take action against the Bikaner and Pali DCAs. On Thursday, Bihani issued orders to revoke the affiliation of the Pali and Bikaner DCAs due to alleged financial irregularities and election discrepancies. "The decision was made under Sections 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, and 30 of the State Sports Act and Section 30C of the RCA Constitution. A decision on Jodhpur DCA is under consideration," said the convener in a press conference here at RCA Academy on Friday. Bihani announced that the RCA Annual General Meeting is scheduled for June 20. He also revealed that he has the consent of 18 DCA secretaries, who have authorised him to form various committees, including the cricket committee, standing committee, legal committee, finance committee and sub-committees, as well as appoint auditors and manage RCA bank account signatories. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch vàng CFDs với mức chênh lệch giá thấp nhất IC Markets Đăng ký Undo Convener dismisses corruption allegations: Launching a sharp counter attack against ad hoc member Dhananjai Singh Khimsar's group, Bihani dismissed allegations of financial mismanagement, emphasising that all BCCI grants were transparently disbursed to players, match officials and vendors. "The Indian cricket board (BCCI) granted Rs 57.5 crore to the RCA over the past year, a testament to the committee's effective functioning. Would the BCCI provide grants if we weren't working?" he questioned while refuting corruption allegations against him. Bihani also criticised other members for calling frequent meetings to profit from travel allowance and dearness allowance claims, stating he has never claimed such benefits himself. Moreover, Colvin Shield will be held from June 7 and Bihani asserted that he will single-handedly organise the tournament if other ad hoc members do not cooperate.

After Match-Fixing Allegations, Rajasthan Royals Demand Action Against RCA Ad-Hoc Committee Convener For Defamation
Last Updated: RCA ad-hoc committee convener made serious claims of match-fixing following Rajasthan Royals' close defeat to Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2025. Rajasthan Royals have demanded action against Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) ad-hoc committee convenor Jaideep Bihani after he made match-fixing allegations against the IPL franchise citing their close defeat to Lucknow Super Giants at home recently. RR endured a two-run defeat to LSG on Sunday in what has been a frustrating season for the inaugural champions. Bihani had later questioned the reason why RR failed to chase down the target when they needed 9 runs in the last over with six wickets remaining. RR have now written a letter to Rajasthan government and the state's Sports Council claiming the statement by Bihani has caused 'great damage to the reputation and image of Rajasthan Royals." 'Jaideep Bihani, convener of the ad-hoc committee of Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA), has issued a statement regarding Rajasthan Royals' (RR) performance in recent matches, Rajasthan Sports Council and BCCI. In which he has made comments raising doubts on the performance of Rajasthan Royals and hinting at manipulation in IPL matches," Sportstar quoted the letter as stating. 'These public allegations cause great damage to the reputation and image of Rajasthan Royals. Such statements have unnecessarily escalated the controversy and also attempted to mislead the public. Along with this, Bihani has also worked to reduce the credibility of Royal Multi Sport Private Limited (RMPL), Rajasthan Royals franchise, Rajasthan Sports Council and the BCCI, as well as cricket. Whereas we have been working successfully with the state association and state government as per the instructions of the BCCI for the last 18 years," the letter added. In an interview to News18 Rajasthan, Bihani had also claimed that RR has blocked RCA's participation in the management of IPL matches being organised at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium this season. In its letter, RR have claimed they have followed the BCCI guidelines and hence not involved RCA this year dismissing Bihani's claim as 'false" and 'baseless". 'Jaideep Bihani has also accused Rajasthan Royals management, Rajasthan Sports Council and BCCI of colluding with each other to exclude RCA ad hoc from participating in IPL. Whereas in reality, all the allegations made by ad hoc committee convener Jaideep Bihani are completely false and baseless. There is no evidence for them…" RR wrote. 'This year, according to the BCCI, Rajasthan Sports Council has the rights to host IPL matches in Jaipur. Therefore, Rajasthan Royals is working closely with the BCCI and the Council under the guidance and support of the state government to organise the IPL smoothly," it added. First Published:

Rajasthan Royals slam match-fixing allegations
Rajasthan Royals Jaipur: Rajasthan Royals are facing a challenging period. Beyond their poor performance and reported team discord, the Jaipur-based team now confronts accusations of match-fixing. Following Royals' narrow two-run defeat to Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at Sawai Mansingh Stadium last Saturday, RCA ad hoc committee convenor and BJP MLA Jaideep Bihani has raised match-fixing accusations. He questioned the team's inability to score nine runs in the final over with six wickets remaining. Bihani, who expressed doubts about the loss, has called for an investigation by the BCCI and other agencies. 'I have not filed a police complaint. I have spoken to the media and now it's on the BCCI to investigate the matter,' he stated. Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE NOW! Royals vice-president Rajeev Khanna dismissed these claims as unfounded. 'The RCA ad hoc convenor's statement is totally factless and is condemnable. Royals have filed an official complaint with Rajasthan State Sports Council (RSSC) which is our host association and have communicated the same to state chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and to sports minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, stating that these kind of baseless statement from a MLA is hurtful and demotivates players who give their best to win games,' he stated. Bihani further alleged that Royals and RSSC excluded RCA from IPL operations, despite BCCI's initial contact with RCA for arrangements. He criticised the sports council's stadium management and claimed RCA's resources, including curator Taposh Chatterjee, were utilised without payment, whilst committee members were denied accreditation. RSSC chairman and state sports secretary Neeraj K Pawan said responded that the ad hoc panel's responsibility is limited to conducting RCA elections. Regarding fixing allegations, Pawan said, 'The anti-corruption team of BCCI sits here before the match, during the match and after the match, so whatever is being said is fictional.'
