Yoga, nature & yajna blend in JMC-Greater's wellness push
Jaipur: A fresh wellness initiative began in Jaipur Sunday, aiming to reconnect residents with yoga and nature. The drive was launched at Biodiversity Park in Jhotwara, where Jaipur Municipal Corporation Greater mayor Somya Gurjar joined the public in a yoga session and participated in a tree plantation activity.
This year, the camps are uniquely designed to align with the 11th
International Yoga Day
's theme: "Yoga for One Earth, One Health".
According to Gurjar, each yoga session will include continuous yajna and promote environmental awareness. Participants are also being gifted saplings as part of the campaign's green mission.
Gurjar said, "We want yoga to reach every courtyard and greenery to flourish in every home. This combined effort is a step towards holistic wellbeing."
The sessions are led by experienced yoga instructors, including Yogacharya Kul Bhushan Bairathi, Yogacharya Preeti, Satpal Ji, and Yogi Manish, who guide participants through various asanas and breathing exercises.
The initiative not only encourages physical and mental wellness but also aims to foster a deeper connection with nature. By integrating yajna and plant distribution, the programme reflects a thoughtful blend of ancient practice and modern ecological responsibility.
The next yoga camp will take place on June 11 at Smriti Park, Vidhyadhar Nagar.
