Recap: LSU baseball starts regional with a win over Little Rock
LSU welcomed three teams into Baton Rouge this weekend for a regional at Alex Box Stadium. Dallas Baptist, Rhode Island, and Little Rock all entered the weekend with a shot to advance to a Super Regional. We had to wait after a lengthy weather delay, but LSU started its postseason off with a win over Little Rock. Anthony Eyanson was chosen to make the first start of the tournament instead of Kade Anderson. Eyanson and Anderson have been 1A and 1B all year for the Tigers, so either pitcher would be able to get the job done. The Tigers got on the board first in the bottom of the first inning as Jake Brown hit an RBI single to give LSU a 1-0 lead. In the bottom of the second inning, Jared Jones hit an RBI single to extend the lead to 2-0. Eyason kept the Trojans off the board, and the lead remained 2-0 until the bottom of the fifth inning when Danny Dickinson hit a solo shot to left field to increase the lead to 3-0. In the bottom of the sixth inning, the Tigers doubled their lead as Derek Curiel hit an RBI double and Dickinson hit a two-run homer to extend the lead to 6-0 for the Tigers. In the bottom of the seventh inning, Michael Braswell III hit an RBI double to increase the lead to 7-0. In the top of the eighth inning, Eyanson remained in the game. However, after retiring the first two hitters of the inning, he was pulled from the game as DJ Primeaux entered to pitch. Eyanson's day finished after 7.2 innings. He gave up zero runs on five hits, seven strikeouts, and one walk. Mavrick Rizy entered to pitch in the top of the ninth inning as he looked to close out the victory. Rizy got two strikeouts and a groundout to end the game. With the Tigers finishing the game before 10:34 PM, Dallas Baptist and Rhode Island will play their game on Friday night. LSU will face the winner of that game tomorrow at a time to be determined. This article originally appeared on LSU Wire: Recap: LSU baseball gets game one win vs. Little Rock in regional

EXCLUSIVE The Traitors winner Jake Brown shares his surprise favourite for star-studded Celebrity spin-off and reveals the unlikely purchase he's made with his long-awaited prize money
The Traitors winner Jake Brown has tipped social media star Niko Omilana as his pick to win the Celebrity spin-off of the BBC show. Jake, 28, was crowned joint winner of the third series of the hit show, and was quick to share his thoughts on the star-studded lineup. Speaking to MailOnline at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend on Saturday, Jake said: 'For me it's Niko [Omilana], the YouTuber. 'If you watch his YouTube videos, he's very good at manipulating people.' Niko, 27, was unveiled as part of the latest cast for the reality show - alongside the likes of Cat Burns and Alan Carr - which previously drew in more than seven million viewers for the season finale. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Jake won the series alongside faithful Leanne Quigley, and previously revealed how their lives have been 'chaotic' since they won. The pair took home a staggering cash prize of £94,600, which was split between them. And during the interview, Jake also confirmed his prize money has finally come through after having to wait months for the series to hit screens. He added: 'I've spent some of it already, but on boring stuff! I bought a new suit. I bought new flooring for the house.' 'I've given mum and dad some money as well. But I've still got quite a lot of it, so,' Jake continued. Asked if there's anything he wants to spend the rest on, he said he wants to 'go on holidays and treat the wife.' The project manager is the first ever contestant to have cerebral palsy and bravely opened up about his 'lifelong struggle' with the movement disorder towards the end of the series. Speaking about why he chose not to tell his fellow contestants until later on, he explained: 'I think because all my life I have tried to hide it and especially when I was younger, I used to be a bit ashamed of it. 'I just wanted to be normal and it wasn't till I was older I realised I am normal. It's part of who I am, it makes me who I am. I wouldn't be me without it.' During the series the contestants were challenged to haul huge Easter Island style statues up a mountain in order to add more money to the prize pot, a task which was particularly difficult for Jake. He admitted: 'In that challenge, I was struggling with my grip and I kept dropping the statues and I just thought I shouldn't suffer in silence, and now I'm more confident. 'I think it's good to be open and not ashamed of it. I want people watching at home to think, if they have got a disability, no matter what it is, be proud of it. 'I told Alexander and it was a weight off my shoulders. The rest of the mission after that felt like a breeze, even though I was still struggling, it felt like now I've told my piece and it just felt much better.' 'I didn't wanna be that person that's like, 'by the way I've got a disability'. That's not me, I wanted to be myself. I don't want someone's first impression of me to be, "It's Jake, the guy with Cerebral palsy.'

Traitors star Leanne Quigley wows in a bikini for hot tub reunion with her BBC co-stars as she celebrates one year anniversary of their series
The Traitors winner Leanne Quigley reunited with her BBC co-stars as they celebrated the one year anniversary since they met in Inverness, Scotland to film the show. Leanne took to Instagram to mark the occasion and revealed the 'Traitors family' had been 'secretly meeting up' throughout 2024. The army veteran looked incredible as she stripped off in a tiny blue bikini as she posed with Minah, Liv and Elen in a hot tub. The blonde beauty showed off her amazing figure in the swimwear as the girls stood up and beamed for a photo in the water. In another picture, Leanne cut a trendy figure in a nude bodysuit and black blazer as she posed with BBC host Claudia Winkleman. Elsewhere Leanne shared a series of group snaps which also included the likes of winner Jake Brown, Freddie Fraser and Leon Jackman. She wrote: 'How has it been 1 whole year since we stepped on to that steam train in Inverness and met each other for the first time 'Happy anniversary to my Traitors family. Here's a lil dump of all of our secret 2024 meet ups'. The post comes weeks after Leanne showed off her incredible figure in a white bikini once again as she enjoyed a glass of wine in a hot tub. The reality star tied her long blonde tresses back in a bun as she revealed she is 'rested and recharged' following the glamping trip. It comes after Leanne admitted in January that she hadn't received the prize money from the BBC after the final. The army veteran appeared on This Morning after the final to discuss her momentous win after she and Jake Brown were the last contestants standing. But she revealed she was yet to get her hands on her share of the £94,600 prize fund - with last year's winner Harry Clarke not getting his money until days after the final aired. Asking whether she had received the money yet on the ITV chat show, Ben Shephard said: 'You have to wait for the show to air before you get your winnings - has it arrived yet?' The blonde beauty beamed in a figure hugging dress as she posed alongside L-R Liv, Elen and Minah She wrote: 'How has it been 1 whole year since we stepped on to that steam train in Inverness and met each other for the first time Happy anniversary to my Traitors family' 'No, not yet. No,' Leanne revealed. She has previously mentioned her plans to use the money for further IVF rounds and her upcoming wedding to fiancée Sophie Jones. Previously speaking to MailOnline, Leanne mentioned she was awaiting the cash after being asked if she'd spent it: 'No, not quite yet, we absolutely haven't had it yet. 'So, when that time comes, I think we'll go on a nice family holiday holiday.' And on This Morning she said: 'I mentioned that I would love to have another baby, I'd love to try for IVF again and give my little boys a sibling. 'Also, We have a wedding to plan now. I got engaged back in August, which is just the best feeling. '[My boys] are just amazing and they're warriors and they don't even know it.' Speaking to MailOnline after winning The Traitors, Leanne admitted she has been eyeing up Ardross Castle in the Highlands, the one used for the show, as her wedding venue. 'We have got wedding planning to do,' she told MailOnline. 'We have just started. We haven't set a date yet but yeah we can get a wedding going. 'I actually looked at the castle because I didn't realise you could get married there. That would be so iconic. I would actually love that.' Couples looking for the perfect wedding venue are actually able to hire the Great Hall at Ardross Castle, which can cater for up to 130 guests. Leanne added that she would 'absolutely' be inviting the cast of the BBC show to her big day, when it rolls around. She quipped: 'I mean, the most incredible people I've ever met in my life, and the genuine love that we all have for each other. 'We've all had a few meet ups since leaving the castle and every time we see each other, it's just all love. It's so lovely.' She also revealed plans to use some of the money to expand her family, as she said: 'I will absolutely be trying to have another baby, not straight away, maybe in a couple of years, I think. 'My family need a little bit of a rest at the minute. But I think we'll go through and freeze our eggs, hopefully get some embryos and get them in the freezer for the future.' Leanne's win comes after a very difficult six months following her fiancé Sophie's secret battle with cancer - which was diagnosed just weeks after she returned from filming. Speaking to Metro, Leanne said of the ordeal: 'I would never, ever have gone away to film if Soph had cancer. We found out weeks after I got home. 'Actually, she found a lump maybe a month after, and it all happened very quickly from there. Ringing the bell now, radiotherapy to get through 'I only left the army actually in October, so I'm still very freshly out of the army. And with lots going on, first of all, with the twins, and then with my partner, we're going to take some time now to really enjoy family time.'

LSU gets run-ruled by the Demons, loses first midweek game of season
LSU gets run-ruled by the Demons, loses first midweek game of season Who knew that Demons liked rain? In Tuesday's nonconference game against Northwestern State, LSU baseball held a 2-0 lead in the top of the third inning, and then the rain came and washed the lead away. The Demons outscored LSU 13-1 after the rain delay as they run-ruled the Tigers at Alex Box Stadium. Head coach Jay Johnson got a little creative with the lineup tonight as Jared Jones started at third base and Jake Brown started at first. Derek Curiel led off the game with a solo shot to put the Tigers up 1-0 early. In the bottom of the second inning, Josh Pearson followed that up with a solo shot of his own to make it 2-0 Tigers. In the top of the third inning, we entered a weather delay for lightning in the area. After a rain delay that lasted an hour and a half, play resumed, and the Demons got hot. Northwestern State would go on to score six runs in the top of the third to take a 6-3 lead. Two runs were charged to Jaden Noot, two runs were charged to Cooper Williams, and two runs were charged to Connor Benge. As I mentioned earlier, Coach Johnson decided to start Jones at third base to see how his defense would play at the hot corner. The experiment did not go well as the Demons scored two runs off of two errors by him, as they extended their lead to 7-3. In the bottom of the fifth inning, Jake Brown cut into the Northwestern State lead to make it 7-3. In the top of the sixth inning, the Demons extended their lead, scoring three more runs to make it 10-3 Northwestern State. As we headed to the bottom of the sixth inning, the Demons had outscored LSU 10-1 since the weather delay. In the top of the seventh, Northwestern State scored three more runs, and all of a sudden, we were on the brink of LSU getting run-ruled in their own house by Northwestern State as the score was extended to 13-3. LSU was unable to score any runs in the bottom of the seventh and the game ended with the Tigers losing 13-3. With the loss, LSU drops to 34-8 overall and 12-6 in conference play. This weekend, LSU will welcome Tennessee into town in what should be one of the best matchups in the country. Game one is slated to start Friday at 6:30 PM CT.
