2 arrested after meth, guns, cash, found in major drug bust in Livingston Parish

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Two people were arrested after Livingston Parish deputies found multiple illegal substances, guns and cash during a drug bust. According to Sheriff Jason Ard, the investigation began after the Narcotics Division received an anonymous tip that Jametheron Tate, 39, also known as 'GEE,' was distributing methamphetamine in the Denham Springs area while living on Colonial Drive. 'Our investigation led to our team securing a search warrant for his residence,' Ard said. Baton Rouge police make arrest in McDonald's shooting On May 27, agents executed the warrant. They found a large amount of drugs and other illegal items in the house. Items seized include: Approximately 63 grams of fentanyl powder. Approximately 16.2 grams of methamphetamine. Approximately 123.2 grams of marijuana. Around 300 dosage units of tadalafil. Four firearms. $1,480 in U.S. currency. Packaging materials and digital scales. Tate was booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center on multiple charges: Sale, possession, or distribution of legend drugs with a secured personal surety bond set at $500. Possession of drug paraphernalia with a $500 bond. Possession with intent to distribute Schedule I controlled dangerous substances with a $50,000 bond. Possession with intent to distribute Schedule II controlled dangerous substances with a $100,000 bond. Possession of a firearm in the presence of controlled dangerous substances. Paisley Fobb, 36, who was reportedly connected to the ongoing investigation, was also arrested. Authorities said the investigation remains open.
