Where did Texas A&M softball land in the final regular season rankings?

After splitting the first two games against Tennessee over the weekend, Texas A&M run-ruled the Lady Vols 13-2, securing a second-place finish in the SEC to end the regular season. Following a rough series against Arkansas, the Aggies had to battle through another tough weekend. They struggled to get runners across the plate through the first two games, only scoring two runs total. A&M must have looked at some film because they got hot at the right time and had 10 hits for 13 runs in a critical game. Advertisement All major softball polls have the Aggies as the overall No. 1-ranked team to close out the regular season after going 2-1 last week, taking the series on the road against No. 2 Tennessee. Texas A&M will be back on the diamond for the SEC Tournament on May 8 at Jack Turner Stadium in Athens, Georgia. Texas A&M Falls to Liberty in Bryan-College Station Regional upset

Texas A&M Falls to Liberty in Bryan-College Station Regional upset No. 1-ranked Texas A&M (46-10) fell to Liberty (49-12) on Saturday afternoon on day two of the Bryan-College Station at Davis Diamond. The Aggies couldn't get any offense going as they struggled to barrel up any pitch off Liberty, keeping them out of sync all game long. The most damage came in the bottom of the second, where they plated four runners, mostly aided by multiple errors by the Lady Flames, taking a 4-0 lead. Liberty answered back immediately with three runs of their own in the top of the third inning. A&M pushed one more run across the plate in the bottom of the third, but that's where the scoring ended for A&M. The Lady Flames jumped all over Emiley Kennedy in the top of the sixth inning, pushing across five runs to take an 8-5 lead that lasted through the rest of the game without the Aggies putting up much of a threat. Texas A&M falls to the loser's bracket and awaits the winner of Marist vs. Saint Francis to play in an elimination game at approximately 6 p.m. CT for a spot in the regional final. 'I feel terrible for these guys' Michael Earley speaks after Texas A&M's loss to Missouri

'I feel terrible for these guys' Michael Earley speaks after Texas A&M's loss to Missouri Texas A&M baseball entered the weekend as heavy favorites against Missouri, a team that had yet to win a conference game in the SEC this season. However, the Aggies suffered a shocking series sweep, falling to the Tigers in three straight games. Not only did Texas A&M lose the series, but they were swept by a team with the worst ERA in the SEC. The Aggies' offense struggled significantly, producing one of their worst hitting performances in months. Head coach Michael Earley addressed the team's struggles after the loss, acknowledging the lack of offensive rhythm. He emphasized that the Aggies were chasing too many pitches, disrupting their ability to generate scoring opportunities. "When we struck the ball, we didn't strike it well enough, and we didn't have any hits. I think we had two hits, and one of them was a home run. So yeah, they threw strikes, and we didn't do anything with it." Texas A&M's Senior Day was meant to be a celebration, but after a tough series loss to Missouri, it was bittersweet. Coach Michael Earley acknowledged the disappointment, especially given how hard the team fought to get back into postseason contention. They've battled through adversity and never backed down, and that determination isn't fading now. "I feel terrible for these guys, man. They put everything into this, and it's tough. It's tough, and I feel awful for them, but we're going to rebound. We're going to regroup and we're going to finish this thing strong, however it may be, but we're not going to quit." Below is the full press conference after Game 3 of the Missouri series. 'Tomorrow's a new day ' Texas A&M RHP Brad Rudis speaks after Game 2 loss to Missouri

'Tomorrow's a new day ' Texas A&M RHP Brad Rudis speaks after Game 2 loss to Missouri When Texas A&M needed their batters to step up the most, they failed. There is enough blame to go around, and with how good they have been playing over the last month and a half, a bad series was in the cards. Unfortunately for the Aggies they have no room for error. Coming into the series, A&M needed to win at least two games to go into the final week of regular season play with a solid chance to make the NCAA tournament. However, the weekend turned into a disaster as they dropped both games to a struggling Missouri team with the worst pitching ERA in the conference. The Aggie pitching staff did well enough in game two, allowing A&M a chance to get back into the game, but it never materialized. Senior Day was lost amid this embarrassing loss, where several Aggies were honored, including Brad Rudis. He spoke after the game and what it meant to him, being that it's probably the last time he will throw a collegiate pitch at Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park. "I mean, really special day for me and my family, I probably the last outing I'll have here as an Aggie, so it was a really special day, obviously, the game wasn't what we wanted, but tomorrow's a new day." The series loss is a major blow to their postseason aspirations, but they do not have any time to dwell on the recent past and have to get on track for the remaining four games. A short memory is paramount moving forward in the last week of the regular season. "We have a lot of experienced guys, I think we know what it takes to win, we know what it takes to get to Ohama and obviously that's the end goal but right now we just have to take it one game at a time." Below is the full press conference after Game 2 of the Missouri series.
