HNEC, Spanish Ambassador review 2025 municipal elections and electoral support
The Chairman of the High National Elections Commission (HNEC), Imad Al-Sayeh, held talks on Tuesday with Spanish Ambassador to Libya, Javier Soria Quintana, to review progress in Libya's electoral process and outline plans for the 2025 municipal council elections.
According to a statement from the HNEC media office, Al-Sayeh highlighted the ongoing technical and logistical preparations, reaffirming the Commission's commitment to conducting elections with transparency and professionalism in line with international standards.
The Ambassador commended the HNEC level of organization and preparedness, reaffirming Spain's full support for Libya's democratic path.
