The yesteryear actress worked with several superstars, but died at a very young age, leaving an indelible mark on the industry with her remarkable talent. She rose to fame after making an incredible debut with legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao in the Telugu film Iddaru Ammayilu . Following that, she starred in A. Vincent's Malayalam film Theerthayathra . Her incredible performances continued with Ithu Manushyano , after which she adopted her screen name as Supriya. In 1974, Jayalakshmi ventured into Tamil cinema with Aval Oru Thodar Kathai. She garnered immense recognition due to her popular dialogue 'Fatafat,' and became synonymous with the name 'Fatafat' Jayalakshmi. Over her decade-long career, Jayalakshmi shared screen-space with some of the biggest names including Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Krishna, NTR, and Chiranjeevi. She showcased her versatility and acting prowess in popular films like Anthuleni Katha, Aarilirunthu Arubathu Varai, and Mullum Malarum. In 2018 interview, Rajnikanth called Jayalakshmi his favourite actress even though they share screen-space in only a few films. She starred in over 60 films, and cemented her legacy as well as earned the title of India's lady superstar. Tragically, at the peak of her career, Fatafat Jayalakshmi's life took a tragic turn. Married to the nephew of MG Ramachandran, she took her own life at the age of 22, over an alleged fail romance. Her devastating untimely demise sent shockwaves through the film industry. Fatafat Jayalakshmi's contribution to the film industry remains exceptional, leaving behind a remarkable legacy.

Anantapur: A state level video conference was conducted on Tuesday from the CCLA (Chief Commissioner of Land Administration) office in Vijayawada, led by Special Chief Secretary Jayalakshmi in coordination with Additional CCLA Nakkala Prabhakar Reddy. The session focused on key administrative matters including the Public Grievances Redressal System (PGRS), Audit Paras, Resurvey progress, and other land-related issues. District Collectors and Joint Collectors from across the state participated in the review meeting virtually. From Anantapur, District Collector Dr. Vinod Kumar V attended the video conference from the Collector's camp office in Anantapur city. Also participating in the session were, Joint Collector Shiv Narayan Sharma, District Revenue Officer (DRO) A. Malola, E-Section Superintendent Riazuddin, Coordination Section Superintendent Yugeshwari Devi, Survey Officer, and other district officials. The review aimed to assess the status of grievance redressal, address audit objections, and monitor the progress of the resurvey initiative being implemented across districts.

Vijayawada: Public participation is very vital for the success of Swarnandhra – Swachh Andhra initiative being implemented by the State government, said G Jayalakshmi, Special officer, NTR district and Chief Commissioner of Land Administration (CCLA). She was the chief guest at Swarnandhra programme organised at VMC circle-2 office in Satyanarayanapuram on Saturday. The civic body conducted the program with the theme 'Beat the Heat'. She inspected the stalls arranged by VMC at the circle officer and planted the saplings. Later addressing the meeting, special officer Jayalakshmi said the objectives set by the government can be reached with the participation of the people. She said we can beat the heat by growing trees and plants. She said growing trees is the only solution to get protection from heat. She said the scope for growing of trees is limited in urban areas due to concrete structures. She suggested the plants and trees can be grown in both public and private places. Jayalakshmi said the district administration is taking steps to implement the plastic ban successfully. VMC commissioner HM Dhyana Chandra said the VMC is conducting Swarna Andhra and Swatchandhra programme on every third Saturday and this month the programme is organized with the slogan Beat the Heat. He called upon the people to grow trees and suggested the people to take steps for the terrace gardening. Vijayawada central MLA Bonda Umamaheswara Rao stressed the need to grow trees and avoid the use of single used plastic. He said single used plastic is very harmful to the mankind. He suggested the people to be cautious in the summer. NTR district Revenue Divisional officer K Chaitanya, additional commissioner projects Dr D Chandra Sekhar, chief Engineer, VMC R Srinath Reddy and other officials and staff attended the programme.

Parvathipuram: The MLA of Parvathipuram is facing controversy due to his authoritarian behavior towards bureaucrats. B Vijaya Chandra, a first-time legislator, has been accused of treating government officials rudely. Y Jayalakshmi, the Tahasildar of Parvathipuram, has grown increasingly frustrated with the MLA's inappropriate conduct and has lodged a complaint with the police. She submitted her complaint via WhatsApp to the Circle Inspector of Parvathipuram, expressing that she has been subjected to mistreatment and insults from the MLA over the past few days. Jayalakshmi reported that he has used filthy and derogatory language during their phone conversations, making her working environment very painful. Speaking to 'The Hans India,' Jayalakshmi confirmed that she had indeed filed a complaint through WhatsApp. However, Circle Inspector Muralidhar stated that they had not received a physical complaint. Reports indicate that higher officials are attempting to downplay the issue and are pressuring the Tahasildar to withdraw her complaint. Despite this, her letter has sparked significant attention on social media. In response to the allegations, MLA Vijaya Chandra claimed that the Tahasildar accepted around Rs 2 lakh in bribes from local farmers for her official duties. He stated that the locals had approached him regarding this matter and mentioned that she did not respond to his calls when he attempted to discuss the farmers' concerns.
