Insider Suggests Commanders Could Sign Nick Chubb
Insider Suggests Commanders Could Sign Nick Chubb originally appeared on Athlon Sports. In 2023, running back Austin Ekeler was among the biggest villains of the fantasy football world. As he dealt with an ankle injury, his efficiency dipped to a meager 3.5 yards per carry as his production fell off a cliff. Advertisement A season later, Ekeler's production continued to decline. But in a new role, with redefined expectations, his reputation improved. On a resurgent Washington Commanders team, he wasn't alone in that regard. Now, Washington is attempting to get quarterback Jayden Daniels over the hump. It has brought in established veterans who are proven quantities, on and off the field. Could another veteran running back be next? ESPN insider Jeremy Fowler suggested that the Commanders could sign former All-Pro running back Nick Chubb. 'I know he [Nick Chubb] expects to play,' Fowler said for ESPN Cleveland. 'The running back market is tough. A lot of these guys are waiting, I think probably up until training camp at this point. I do not expect Chubb back with the Browns barring some sort of surprise or injury. Advertisement 'There are some teams out there that could be in the market for one. You know, the Commanders or the Bears come to mind. They could be looking for an extra back at some point. Right now he's in that mode where you just survey the landscape, see what develops, and keep working out to play next year.' Like Ekeler a year ago, Chubb is coming off a concerning season as it pertains to both his production and injury history. After recovering from a second catastrophic knee injury, Chubb ran for 3.3 yards per attempt—nearly two yards below his career average of 5.1. His toe injury ended his season and cast further doubt upon his NFL future. Advertisement As far as bounce-back candidates go, Chubb's case can't be considered strong. Age-30 seasons don't bring good news for most backs, much less those with Chubb's baggage. However, the Commanders could bring in Chubb with the intention of handing him a small-time role behind Brian Robinson Jr., especially with the allure of a deep playoff run. Perhaps more playing time or guaranteed money would appeal to Chubb more. As his market continues to shrink, though, Washington shouldn't be ignored as a landing spot. ESPN breaks down trade rumors surrounding Falcons TE Kyle Pitts
Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts has been the subject of trade rumors over the last few days. With the former No. 4 overall pick entering the final year of his rookie contract, multiple teams have reportedly reached out to the Falcons to check Pitts' availability. On Friday, NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported that Atlanta is seeking at least a Day 2 pick as compensation for the 24-year-old. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler added some additional context on Saturday. Advertisement "If Atlanta gets the right kind of a deal for Kyle Pitts, it very well could come together," said Fowler. "I don't think it's a situation where they're aggressively shopping him but it appears, talking to some other teams that think Atlanta is at least open to the possibility and Pitts might be as well." Fowler went on to explain that while Pitts is open to a trade, he's still loves Atlanta and isn't requesting to be moved. "I'm told he loves Atlanta," continued Fowler. "This is not a situation where he's requesting a trade. But if he has a chance to go to maybe a better offense where he's more featured -- he's kind of a third or fourth wheel in Atlanta -- could be something that he's open to." The Falcons probably aren't desperate to move Pitts unless they get an offer they can't refuse. Pitts lived up to massive expectations as a rookie, racking up over 1,000 receiving yards, but he struggled to match that production over the last three seasons. Advertisement Tight ends need the ball to make an impact, and Pitts hasn't been featured as much since Matt Ryan was still in Atlanta. The fifth-year tight end failed to develop chemistry with former Falcons quarterbacks Desmond Ridder, Marcus Mariota and Taylor Heinicke. The 2024 season was supposed to be different for Pitts due to veteran Kirk Cousins taking over at quarterback, but Cousins' production was wildly inconsistent. 2025 might be Pitts' last shot to prove he can be a difference maker on offense. Falcons offensive coordinator Zac Robinson is still high on the young tight end and expects big things from him this season. "I'm expecting Kyle to take a big jump," said Robinson. "You know, Year 2 two of the system. Year 2 of understanding what we're trying to do offensively. All those things that come with it, so expecting a lot of good things from Kyle. He knows what he needs to work on with the details, some of the fundamentals and techniques." Advertisement Pitts has recorded 196 catches for 2,651 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns since entering the league in 2021. Insider predicts Browns QB trade during training camp
The post Insider predicts Browns QB trade during training camp appeared first on ClutchPoints. The Cleveland Browns are taking up a majority of the conversations after the 2025 NFL Draft. Why? The Browns not only selected Shedeur Sanders out of Colorado in the fifth round, but they drafted Dillon Gabriel ahead of Sanders in the third round. Advertisement After trading for Kenny Pickett in the offseason, the Browns now have four quarterbacks to choose from if you add Joe Flacco. Because the Browns drafted two quarterbacks, and the most popular name in the draft, many are speculating on what Cleveland will do with the quarterback room ahead of the start of the season. Deshawn Watson will not play this season. NFL insider Jeremy Fowler discussed his thoughts on the Browns' QB future on the ESPN Cleveland radio station. 'They (Browns) look at quarterbacks like currency,' Fowler said. 'If someone goes down in training camp, they have someone they can trade. Maybe it's Pickett, maybe it's one of the rookies. But I can see that maneuvering. I have a hard time thinking they keep four on the roster.' Trading one of the quarterbacks would be a smart move on the Browns' side. It does not make sense to keep this many. It's understandable, knowing the Browns have still yet to find a franchise quarterback, but that won't be determined this season unless you see Sanders play extraordinarily. Advertisement Trading Gabriel just seems like the logical move. The Browns probably drafted Gabriel, not knowing Sanders would still be available later on. Because he was, the Browns decided to pull the trigger and draft the former Colorado QB. Sanders has all the intangibles to be a great player. Moving on from Gabriel could get you a draft pick, rather than stashing him away on the practice squad. Unless Flacco gets cut, he will likely be the backup with his experience. The Browns have plenty of options. We will see how training camp pans out on if Cleveland will send any of these quarterbacks to another squad.

Why Google's Gmail upgrade demands a new, shielded email address
NEW YORK, May 26: Google's two billion Gmail users are facing a critical choice as the tech giant rolls out a new upgrade. The update gives Gemini, Google's AI system, unrestricted access to past emails and stored files — but only if you allow it. The key question for users is whether to grant Gemini access, while Google itself faces a significant decision in how to balance innovation and privacy. Last week, Google confirmed that Gmail's latest update would feature personalized smart replies that reflect your typical tone and context. 'Draft replies will sound authentically like you, as the responses are created from past emails and Drive files,' the company stated. However, concerns about the privacy and security implications of these changes remain, as the AI system learns from personal data without full transparency. Additionally, this upgrade presents a conflict with Gmail's recent encryption improvements, raising further doubts about the trade-offs between AI advancements and privacy safeguards. What users really need is a feature similar to Apple's Hide My Email, which allows users to shield their personal email addresses. Hide My Email is a service that enables users to keep their primary email address private when signing up for new accounts, making online purchases, or even sending emails to unfamiliar contacts. For iPhone users, it's been described as 'the best Apple product you aren't using,' and it helps reduce the burden of spam — a problem that AI filtering still struggles to fully address. But for Android and Gmail users, the lack of a similar feature is becoming more apparent. According to How-To-Geek, data breaches involving online accounts are becoming more frequent, with users receiving notifications about their compromised data. With this in mind, a service like Hide My Email becomes increasingly important. Fortunately, there's hope for Android users. Last November, Google introduced Shielded Email, a feature designed to function similarly to Apple's service. Shielded Email will be integrated into Android's Autofill system, allowing users to shield their personal email addresses in apps or on websites. A recent teardown of Google's Play Services APK revealed that Shielded Email will appear as an option when users fill in their email address on certain platforms. For example, when signing up for Amazon, users will be prompted with both their usual email address and a 'Use Shielded Email' option. While the feature is not yet live, it's in advanced stages of development. The need for such email protection has never been more urgent. Following a major data breach uncovered by Jeremy Fowler of vpnMentor, which exposed 184 million login credentials, the necessity of services like Shielded Email and Hide My Email is more pressing than ever. Fowler reported finding thousands of files containing emails, passwords, usernames, and sensitive account information from banks, healthcare platforms, and government portals. The breach highlighted just how vulnerable personal data can be, and how email addresses are often the key identifier for many accounts. By masking email addresses, users can make it significantly harder for attackers to access their accounts through phishing or other socially-engineered attacks. A shielded email address allows you to deactivate a compromised email without exposing your primary one, adding an extra layer of security. When combined with strong, unique passwords, two-factor authentication (2FA), or even passkeys, this strategy effectively locks down your online life. One of the most critical weaknesses in online security today is the use of email addresses as the primary identifier across multiple accounts. Masking email addresses helps protect your identity, making it harder for attackers to track your activities across platforms. But this only works if users take full advantage of the feature. As Google continues to develop its Shielded Email system, users must be proactive. While the feature is not yet available, once it is, users should start using shielded email addresses for all new accounts. The release of this feature will be crucial in helping protect users from the growing threat of data breaches and online identity theft. The launch of Gmail's AI-powered features presents a significant crossroads for Google, with privacy and user consent hanging in the balance. As the tech giant navigates these complexities, users will need to carefully consider how much personal information they are willing to share and how they can protect their identities in an increasingly interconnected world.

Commanders New Tackle Praised in Rookie Comparison
When the Washington Commanders chose to trade for Pro Bowl tackle Laremy Tunsil of the Houston Texans, they were doing so to provide immediate relief to an offensive line that needed an anchor. They got one of the best ones in the league with Tunsil. Advertisement As the Commanders prepare for the 2025 season with their new offensive line, there is an interesting nugget coming out from the 2025 draft. And it directly relates to Tunsil throughout his career. As part of the scouting process, many incoming rookies are compared to different players already at the NFL level. For Tunsil, he compared well to a top 10 pick in this year's draft. Texas tackle Kelvin Banks. "New Orleans went offensive line in the first round for the second consecutive year, but this particular move made sense around the league because Kelvin Banks Jr., in the eyes of scouts, was a clear-cut top-10 pick, despite many mock drafts having him in the teens throughout the process," ESPN's Jeremy Fowler noted in his 32 team intel update this week. "'He's awesome. He's [five-time Pro Bowl tackle] Laremy Tunsil,' an NFC executive said." Advertisement For Banks to carry a comparison to Tunsil is significant. It shows how good of a player he is, and how good of a player the Commanders got in the trade. And while Banks won't be a player the Commanders have to scout against a ton, he's still a player to watch going into his rookie season in the NFL.
