The Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut has been subjected to a bit of a leg day at the company's dedicated test track (read: former military airstrip) and has casually reeled off a litany of scary numbers. Numbers like 0-62mph in 2.79s. Like 62mph to 124mph in 2.74s. Like 124mph to 186mph in 3.96s. A standing quarter mile in 8.88s, and the small matter of a standing half-mile in 13.27s at a heady 223.5mph. But then the Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut is a scary car. Underneath lurks a very dark heart: a 5.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 capable of revving out to 8,500rpm, sending 1,600bhp and 1,106lb ft to the rear wheels and rear wheels alone via a nine-speed gearbox. It's also the fastest ever Koenigsegg – a car Christian imagines will comfortably hit that magic 300mph+ mark. 'The name Absolut comes from the fact that this is the absolute fastest Koenigsegg we will ever make,' CvK said on the car's launch. The Koenigsegg Jesko Just Broke Even More World Records

The Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut is one of the most capable production cars on the planet. It's already set a handful of speed records thanks to its 1,600-horsepower V-8 and trippy nine-speed " Light Speed Transmission ." Now, the car can add yet another record to its growing list of accolades. Koenigsegg published a video to its Instagram page on Tuesday showing a Jesko Absolut running a blistering standing half-mile at the company's runway test track in Sweden. During the run, the Jesko was able to reach a top speed of 359.83 kilometers per hour, or 223.6 miles per hour—the highest top speed of any production car in the half-mile. The run took the Jesko 13.27 seconds, placing it about a half-second behind the current record-holder, the Rimac Nevera . A quarter-mile time of 8.88 seconds makes the Jesko Absolut the quickest gas-powered production car in the quarter-mile, beating out the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 by a couple of tenths. EVs like the Nevera and the Pininfarina Battista are still quicker, though. The Jesko's 0-62 mph time of 2.79 seconds doesn't shatter any records, but it's incredibly quick. Remember, this car is rear-wheel drive, and doesn't have any hybrid aids to get it off the line. Yet it is still able to sprint to 62 mph without much fanfare. That's the magic of a modern launch control system and that cool gearbox. We suspect this won't be the last record the Jesko Absolut breaks. CEO Christian von Koenigsegg has been teasing plans for a top-speed record run, saying the car is capable of up to 330 mph. But the company has yet to find a suitable space to attempt the run. Ehra-Lessien, the Volkswagen-owned oval track where Bugatti set its 304-mph record , doesn't just let anyone in. Something tells us VW wouldn't want to give a competitor the chance to break their record, if it had a choice. Andrew Tate's Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut Breaks Down In Traffic

Read the full story on Backfire News Controversial figure Andrew Tate owns quite the car collection, but his recent ordeal with his ultra-expensive Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut shows not everything is roses for the guy. After he fled Romania when he had the chance, like a dog with its tail between its legs, the guy has faced adversity here in the US, including his Swedish hypercar failing in the middle of have no idea why the Jesko Absolut broke down, but people on the internet have commented on the video with all kinds of theories. They range from the Koenigsegg being a piece of junk to Tate being a dumb piece of trash and everything in between. While we can't weigh in on whether the car suffered a genuine malfunction or if this was user error, we do find one thing odd. In the footage shared to Facebook, we can't see the hypercar's hazard lights activated. That's weird because the Koenigsegg appears to be sitting in a lane of travel at an intersection. Did Tate just forget to activate the hazards or did the malfunction render them inoperable? It's a great question we unfortunately can't answer. It's not like Tate's volunteering information, either. Curiously, there doesn't appear to be any statement made on his social media accounts about the 'L' moment, which is funny since the guy talks about how all he does is win. Instead, in the video we see him walking away from the $4 million Swedish hypercar while starting at his phone like some screentime-obsessed 16-year-old boy. After all, the guy has more supercars and hypercars to play with and he has a packed schedule of telling teenage boys how to be even more self-centered and shallow. Life sure is magical for Tate, who obviously only wins all the time. Here's to hoping the Jesko Absolut isn't too broken. Image via Cobra Mentality/Facebook
