Dhanashree Verma Shares First Insights on Divorce from Yuzvendra Chahal: 'Negativity Doesn't Bother Me'

In the eye of the storm and at the heart of public speculation, choreographer and content creator Dhanashree Verma found herself grappling with not just a personal heartbreak, but also a tidal wave of online scrutiny following her separation from cricketer first reported by us in January this year. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Now, for the first time, Verma chooses to speak about the path she's walked since, with her head held high and her focus firmly intact. She continues to remain silent on the separation. ' The negativity and public criticism have never really bothered me since day 1, and it will never bother me ever' Ask her how she braved the barrage of public judgment in the last couple of months, and she responds, "It doesn't bother me at all! I have surrounded myself with great inner strength, and I am so dedicated that my focus has always been on my work, as I have a lot of responsibilities. I have guarded myself and have built myself so strong that I just focus on my work, which will speak for everything. The negativity and public criticism have never really bothered me since day 1, and it will never bother me ever. ' 'I am focusing on self-love and inner strength' For Verma 'it is very simple' to filter out unwarranted opinions. "I prefer to ignore the noise that doesn't contribute to my growth and focus on constructive feedback. I set goals for myself and stay committed to them till I achieve them. When you know your goals, professionally and personally, it is easier to stay away from the distractions,' she shares. When asked how changing public perceptions affected her personal space, she remains stoic, never airing dirty laundry but instead focusing on rebuilding herself from the inside out. "I have been working on myself even more now. Even though I have been a very hardworking person, I have now completely changed my lifestyle and am focusing on self-love, inner strength, discipline, exercise, good food, and surrounding myself with people who look up to me. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now I want to be a part of a journey that inspires people around me," the former Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa contestant adds. 'Hope I have inspired more people to make strength their guard and weapon' The journey hasn't been a walk in the park, but Verma holds tight to her discipline like a compass guiding her through murky waters. "I hope I have inspired more people to make strength their guard and weapon,' she confesses, adding, 'I have been extremely disciplined in my life, and that has been one of the reasons, for me to stay positive and motivated, helping me put out the best work. Dancing, singing, and acting make me feel alive, as it is my passion, and it is enough to keep me positive. I stay true to my values and beliefs and keep on reminding myself of the reason why I started this journey. There are tough times, but my passion for my craft helps me stay focused and strong. I believe in working hard and letting it speak for me." 'It has been a phase of growth and self-discovery' While she chooses to not talk about the split, ask her how she has grown as a person since the split, and the lessons learned, she replies, "The challenges life throws at you teach you some of the most valuable and beautiful lessons. The biggest thing I have learnt is the importance of self-reliance and how my parents have raised a strong daughter. It has been a phase of growth and self-discovery, and I would like to continue with this as I am appreciative of how it has shaped me as a person. ' 'Clarifying misconceptions often leads to more speculations' Verma, who was recently seen setting the screen ablaze in her special number Tinga Linga Sajna has been a victim to mudslinging—from rumors of her demanding a hefty alimony to being branded a gold digger after Chahal was spotted wearing a provocative slogan tee during their divorce hearing. Yet, she chooses not to wash her hands in muddy water. "I just want to focus on my work and let it speak for itself. Clarifying misconceptions often leads to more speculations, and if I would want any speculations, I would want it to be only and only around my work. I am focusing on my personal growth and professional commitments and would want it to be the leading narrative of my life," she explains. 'Your understanding of love evolves over time' Despite the shadows of a strained separation—Verma and Chahal had gotten married in December 2020—she hasn't turned her back on love. Her view remains balanced and mature. "I will always say and believe that love is a beautiful aspect of life, and your understanding of it evolves over time. For now, I am focusing on my work and career while simultaneously working on my personal development. I am open to what the future holds for me, but for now, it is my career and my family that are of utmost importance to me,' she affirms. Verma will soon make her Telugu debut as an actress. "It is an exciting new chapter as I step into acting with this project. I am trying out a new side of storytelling and loving how it challenges me and my craft. I am just excited about everything I'll learn," she concludes.

Vivek Dahiya reveals battling alcohol addiction during lockdown; says 'I took therapy sessions to overcome...'

Television actor Vivek Dahiya , known for his roles in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, Qayamat Ki Raat, Kavach, and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, recently shared his struggle with alcohol addiction during the lockdown. Speaking on a podcast with Shardul Pandit, Vivek candidly revealed that he got addicted to alcohol during lockdown, which disrupted his routine and led to growing frustration in his life. Speaking about battling alcohol addiction, Vivek shared, "I started drinking during lockdown, I was never a heavy drinker, very casual party kind of person. I would never sit down with a glass and be somber and like duniya mein bahot dukh hai chalo daaru peete hain, I was never like that. I was a very occasional party drinker. My father is also somewhat like that but he likes to have a comfortable and luxurious life. He likes sophistication. He once told me that whenever you make your house, you should have a good bar. He meant I travel extensively so I should collect drinks. I started doing that and Divyanka and I are quite avid travellers. We used to collect limited edition bottles or other stuff. Karte karte bar accha ban gaya but we never engaged." He further added, "During lockdown I suddenly felt if something happens to me what will happen to these bottles. Of course some of it will go to my father and rest to my father-in-law, but they won't be able to consume it all. So I started drinking because I was very concerned about it. Every night I used to sit with a glass and watch content, I would not do anything stupid, it became a lifestyle." He spoke about how the addiction gradually began affecting his overall lifestyle, pushing him to make a conscious decision to bring about a change. He said, "When I started doing it regularly my lifestyle went for a toss and it disrupted a lot of things like sleep, metabolism. Next day, I was not able to workout and exercising is my life, I can't live without it. Slowly, frustration started crawling in and then I started witnessing a pattern and realised this is not something I would like to continue doing. Lockdown will eventually get over and I don't want to find myself to be an alcoholic by the end of it all. When things suddenly become normal and everyone is excited to be going back to work, here I'm stuck with a belly, no hair, dark circles. That's when I decided this needs to go." To overcome the negative effects of his alcohol addiction, Vivek turned to therapy. He shared how the sessions helped him regain control of his life, "In order to rectify that I took a couple of therapy sessions and the part of that therapy was to be with yourself, meditate, breathing exercises, concentration of things you want to achieve and not look back. I feel glad I did that because now I'm a much stronger and disciplined person than I ever was," he concluded. Vivek Dahiya: My role model in fitness is Akshay Kumar, he is disciplined

Lauren Gottlieb recalls battling depression, taking break at peak of her career: 'Felt disconnected...'

Lauren Gottlieb recalls battling depression, taking break at peak of her career: 'Felt disconnected...' Lauren Gottlieb is a globally recognized dancer, choreographer, and actress who seamlessly bridged the worlds of Hollywood and Bollywood. She first rose to fame as a finalist on So You Think You Can Dance in the U.S. and later made a strong impact in India through her performances in ABCD: Any Body Can Dance and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, where her incredible chemistry with choreographer Puneet Pathak made her a household name. Apart from reality shows and films, Lauren has worked with global stars like Tom Cruise and Indian legends like Prabhudeva and Allu Arjun, building a career that spans countries and cultures. On Taking a Break at the Peak of Her Career Despite her soaring popularity, Lauren made the bold decision to step away from the limelight. She admitted to feeling emotionally disconnected during what others saw as the height of her career. 'I felt disconnected,' she said. 'My nephews were growing up and I didn't know them. My parents were getting older, and I barely recognized them in photos. I was missing moments that truly mattered.' This emotional realization led her to pause and reflect on her inner well-being. She moved to New York to study acting — not just as a skill, but as a path to healing. Battling Depression and Finding Inner Joy Lauren didn't just take a break — she went inward.'I had to unwire and rewire my brain,' she shared. During the pandemic in LA, she allowed herself to step away from performance pressures and truly understand what happiness meant. 'I always thought success, accolades, and constant work would make me happy. But I realized happiness comes from within — not from the spotlight.' She also mentioned that during this period, she didn't fear being forgotten.'I knew when I came back, it would be a new, evolved version of me.' Her Return to India and Reconnecting with Fans Returning to India for her dance tour was an emotional experience. Lauren taught workshops on her ABCD songs and was overwhelmed by the love she received.'People lined up to tell me how I inspired them to start dancing. I realized — people just want to be seen and heard. It was so beautiful.' She described how those connections gave her new energy and reminded her of the deep bond she shares with her Indian audience. 'India feels like home. My whole 20s were here. My phonebook is full of Indian names.' Creating 'Who Rules the World Lauren recently released a female-forward anthem titled 'Who Rules the World', launched on World Dance Day.'It's like the Beyoncé anthem for the East,' she laughed. Despite limited time and resources, she pulled the project together in under two weeks.'Everyone worked on no sleep, just driven by love for the art. It was beautiful to see that kind of passion come alive again.' Working with Global Icons Lauren also recalled working with Tom Cruise early in her career.'I was just 20 or 21, and I was supposed to train him — I thought it would be one-on-one, but the whole production was there!'In a surreal moment, she ended up pitching a creative direction in front of the team. 'Tom looked at me and said, 'Get on it.' He really trusted me — and I was sweating bullets!'She added that celebrities are often very different in person. 'You see them on screen, but in real life, it's a whole other character.' Future Plans Lauren is currently focused on music and dance content.'I'm looking for the right songs — something that even kids can enjoy and dance to.' She's also exploring classical, feminine dance styles that connect with a more emotional, graceful expression. As for acting, she says, 'I haven't said yes to anything yet. Acting takes a lot of time, and I'd have to slow down my current lifestyle. But if the right project comes, I'll consider it.' Conclusion Lauren Gottlieb's story is not just one of fame or talent — it's one of self-awareness, courage, and personal transformation. From being on every TV screen to disappearing for self-healing, and now re-emerging with renewed clarity — Lauren's journey is proof that sometimes, the bravest thing a performer can do is pause, breathe, and come back stronger.

Farah Khan reveals weight loss strategy she has ‘been following for a long time': ‘Early dinner by 7.30'

Farah Khan recently spoke about losing weight in an episode on her food blog with actor-couple Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya. When asked about her weight transformation journey, Khan, 60, revealed that despite being fond of food, she had consciously decided to eat only twice a day. 'I try to eat only twice daily. Lunch and dinner. Early dinner by 7.30. Intermittent fasting. But been following for a long time. I had lost weight before Jhalak also,' Khan said, referring to the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa season 11, where she appeared as a judge in November 2023. 'You are looking very fresh,' complimented Vivek. But is intermittent fasting a sustainable way to lose weight? Dr Sukhvinder Singh Saggu, director, minimal access, GI and bariatric surgery, CK Birla Hospital (R), Delhi, noted that intermittent fasting, which involves concentrating your meals within a specific window during the day, typically between sunrise and sunset, is considered adequate for fat loss. 'This period aligns with when our digestive enzymes, insulin, and other metabolic processes are most active. Eating within this window is believed to promote better digestion, higher metabolism, and a healthier gut microbiome compared to eating late at night,' said Dr Saggu. The last meal should be 2-3 hours before bedtime. 'This could involve a larger lunch and an early dinner before sunset,' said Dr Saggu. Benefits * Improves metabolism and digestion * Better blood sugar control * Favourable cholesterol levels, with higher HDL (good) and lower LDL (bad) cholesterol It is also worth noting that the body's inherent circadian rhythm governs not only digestion but also blood pressure, heart rate, and other vital functions. ' Eating at the incorrect time, especially late at night, might disturb these processes and cause long-term health problems,' said Dr Saggu. Here's what you should note (/Thinkstock) Eating earlier in the evening aligns your eating patterns with the body's natural cycles, which lowers the risk of heart disease, high blood pressure, and metabolic syndrome. Other significant advantages of eating before 8 p.m. include improved digestion, better sleep quality, better weight control, and enhanced metabolism. Eating late at night can also contribute to digestive issues and weight gain over time. Mindful eating helps individuals savour their meals, pay attention to their body's hunger cues, and stop eating before they reach satiety, which lowers the risk of overeating.
