Road rage suspect claiming to be NBI personnel nabbed
The National Bureau of Investigation-Technical Intelligence Division (NBI-TID) has arrested a suspect in a road rage incident who pretended to be part of the NBI. In a statement on Monday, the NBI said a motorcycle driver complained to Senator Raffy Tulfo's television program about the driver of an SUV that rammed him. The complainant said that the suspect claimed that he is an NBI member, displayed a badge, and even threatened him. Upon verification of NBI records, it was found out that the suspect is not connected to NBI either as an employee, job order worker, or consultant. The suspect also has a standing warrant of arrest for syndicated estafa with no bail recommended. The suspect was arrested in an operation on July 24. Seized from him were several identification cards, a fake NBI ID, and an NBI wallet badge. The suspect was brought to the NBI detention facility in the Bureau of Corrections in Muntinlupa in line with his warrant. Additional charges for usurpation of authority, illegal use of insignia, and the Anti-Alias Law were filed against him. — Jiselle Anne Casucian/AOL, GMA Integrated News
