Bed Bath & Beyond returns to Nashville, opening store with new name and taking old coupons
The Bed Bath & Beyond brand is returning to Nashville, only this time with a twist. The Brand House Collective, Inc., formerly Kirkland's, Inc., announced the grand opening of its first Bed Bath & Beyond Home store on Aug. 8, in Nashville, marking the retailer's first brick-and-mortar location since filing for bankruptcy and closing its stores in 2023. The addition of "Home" to the new store's name represents a fresh branding move for the retailer, reported USA TODAY. The store also represents the company's first opening under its new name, The Brand House Collective, Inc., said a news release. "We're proud to reintroduce one of retail's most iconic names with the launch of Bed Bath & Beyond Home, beautifully reimagined for how families gather at home today," said CEO of The Brand House Collective Amy Sullivan in a statement. "This isn't just a store, it's a fresh start for a brand that means something special to so many families." "With Bed Bath & Beyond Home we're delivering on our mission to offer great brands, for any budget, in every room. It's a powerful addition to our portfolio and a meaningful step forward in our transformation," she added. Here's what else to know. Where will Bed Bath & Beyond Home store be located in Nashville? The Brand House Collective hasn't revealed the exact location of the Bed Bath & Beyond Home store in Nashville. However, job listings on the company's website suggest it may be opening in the 100 Oaks area. Nashville store opening features legacy coupon redemption and giveaway As part of the grand opening, The Brand House Collective said it is honoring the brand's history by bringing back "one of its most iconic traditions, the beloved Bed Bath & Beyond coupon." Guests are encouraged to bring their legacy Bed Bath & Beyond coupons, which the store says it will "gladly honor." For those without one, a fresh coupon will be available at the door The company added that the first 25 customers who make a purchase will receive The Beyond Bed, described as a premium 10-inch memory foam queen-size mattress regularly valued at $226.99. Retail comeback follows online shift Before partnering with Beyond Inc., The Brand House Collective had already shifted Bed Bath & Beyond's business model to online-only sales, following Overstock's acquisition of the brand's intellectual property in June 2023, USA TODAY reported. 'Bed Bath & Beyond is an iconic consumer brand, well-known in the home retail marketplace," said CEO of Overstock Jonathan Johnson in a statement at the time. "The combination of our winning asset-light business model and the high awareness and loyalty of the Bed Bath & Beyond brand will improve the customer experience and position the company for accelerated market share growth." However, not all Bed Bath & Beyond products remained online after the company's bankruptcy. In late 2024, the brand entered a strategic partnership with The Container Store to sell its goods in physical locations. As part of that deal, Beyond Inc. also committed to a $40 million investment in The Container Store.
