Mandatory Credit: Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports New York Giants fans have been buzzing with excitement over the last week following some intriguing comments from former superstar Odell Beckham Jr. During an appearance on a panel at Fanatics Fest, Beckham was asked if he would re-sign with the Giants this offseason. His simple response, 'I got you,' went viral on social media, leading fans to believe a reunion was on the horizon. Advertisement However, one insider believes such a reunion is unlikely to take place. Giants reportedly 'unlikely' to sign Odell Beckham Jr. ESPN's Giants insider Jordan Raanan recently answered some questions about the team on his podcast, 'Breaking Big Blue,' and gave some insight on the Giants' interest in reuniting with Beckham. Credit: Danielle Parhizkaran / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images 'Odell Beckham Jr. made some comments at Fanatics Fest about maybe coming back to the Giants. I talked to people, there's nothing brewing there,' Raanan said. 'It's unlikely to happen. I would not expect Odell Beckham Jr. to be a Giant again. 'Maybe somewhere along the line, he retires a one-day contract to retire a Giant… I don't see, based on talking to people, that Odell Beckham coming back to the Giants this year is something that's realistic and makes a ton of sense.' Advertisement Not only were Giants fans, but even some Giants players were engaged in the initial rumors surrounding Beckham. Several stars, such as Malik Nabers, Brian Burns, and rookie Abdul Carter, made comments on social media expressing their interest in Beckham donning the Blue and Red once more. But ultimately, it doesn't seem like Beckham will be back with Big Blue in 2025. What could Beckham provide in 2025? In 2024, Beckham was largely ineffective. He appeared in nine games with the Miami Dolphins, making zero starts and totaling only 55 yards on nine receptions. Advertisement Adding depth is a crucial step in the summer. As training camp and preseason intensify, the Giants will want to be vigilant in adding more talent to their roster. Perhaps Beckham could become more of an option down the line. Related Headlines

'Silly' vs. 'Crazy' Dallas Cowboys Prediction on Winning NFC East
'Silly' vs. 'Crazy' Dallas Cowboys Prediction on Winning NFC East originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Dallas Cowboys, as we turn for training camp, are the third-best team in the division, behind the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders. Advertisement Well, that's what we're told, anyway. But most know that a healthy Dak Prescott usually does quite well in the division and often wins it; however, we can't exactly rely on Dak staying out of the treatment room anymore, can we? Still, the Cowboys have enough weapons, at least offensively, to compete with the conference's best, and defensively, who knows what the unit could be under Matt Eberflus. But for ESPN's New York Giants reporter Jordan Raanan, when asked to give his winner for the NFC East, he bucked the trend and picked Brian Schottenheimer's Cowboys. "Let's get a bit crazy here because that's the recent history of the NFC East," Rannan writes. "No, not the Giants. That gap is massive. Advertisement "But since everyone is down on the Cowboys this season, it only makes sense they surprise and win the division. There is still some high-end talent on that roster and Dallas was good for at least 12 wins each of the previous three years that Prescott played double-digit games. So this is largely contingent on him being healthy. But to count the Cowboys out with Prescott potentially having the best weapons of his career seems silly. They will surprise." Dak Prescott (4) and Brian SchottenheimerTim Heitman-Imagn Images The talent is there, the vibes are there, and there is a renewed sense of hope with this team in 2025. Of course, everyone thinks their team can win the Super Bowl in June, but Rannan isn't the first to suggest Dallas might surprise. Advertisement Let's not forget, they still won seven games without nearly all of their best players missing large chunks of the season. Prescott, Micah Parsons, Trevon Diggs, DeMarcus Lawrence, Jake Ferguson, Zack Martin, Brandin Cooks, CeeDee Lamb and DeMarvion Overshown all saw significant time on the sidelines. That is quite the list. Having Prescott and Parsons back, a fully healthy Lamb, plus the offseason additions and draft class, we can make a case that the Cowboys could win the division if everything goes well. Granted, it's not a strong case, but it's a case nonetheless. Giants nearly bottom out in ESPN's way-too-early 2025 power rankings
The 2024 NFL season is thankfully over for the New York Giants and their fans. It was perhaps the most disappointing, frustrating, and embarrassing in the century-long existence of the franchise. A 3-14 record has put them in prime position to amass another top rookie class and approximately $50 million in available cap space will go a long way in filling some glaring holes on the roster. ESPN published their power rankings after the Super Bowl and the Giants were ranked 31st, ahead of only the Tennessee Titans. Jordan Raanan added these comments about the upcoming offseason, outlining the team's top priority. Describe this offseason in three words: Get a quarterback. It's the Giants' No. 1 priority this offseason by a wide margin. They need to find a solution for both next season and the future. The draft, free agency, trade, everything is on the table, according to owner John Mara. Considering the plan all along was to get a quarterback in the draft if Daniel Jones didn't pan out, it's a good bet the Giants will land one of the draft's top options with the third overall pick. It's no secret the Giants will be big players in the quarterback market this spring. They will explore every avenue to add both a veteran option for this year and a possible franchise player in the draft. After a disastrous 2024 campaign that saw just about every move and decision they made go awry, there's only one way for this franchise to go from here.
