Franklin) PHOENIX (AP) — Arizona Diamondbacks right-hander Justin Martinez has been placed on the 15-day injured list with a sprained ulnar collateral ligament in his pitching elbow. He exited Monday night's win against the Seattle Mariners in the ninth inning with what the team called elbow tightness. Now Martinez will go for a second opinion, manager Torey Lovullo told reporters Tuesday. Advertisement The 23-year-old Martinez had struck out the first two batters he faced before walking Dylan Moore. After throwing a 97-mph sinker for a strike on a 1-0 count to Donovan Solano, Martinez signaled for an athletic trainer and then left the game. He is 1-2 with a 4.11 ERA and five saves over 17 appearances and 15 1/3 innings. Arizona also placed right-hander Christian Montes De Oca on the 15-day IL with right elbow inflammation, a move retroactive to June 9. Righty Cristian Mena was transferred to the 60-day IL with a strained pitching shoulder. Additionally Tuesday, the D-Backs recalled right-handers Kevin Ginkel and Bryce Jarvis from Triple-A Reno and selected the contract of righty Tayler Scott from Reno. Right-hander Jeff Brigham was optioned to Reno after Monday's 8-4 win in 11 innings. ___ AP MLB:

D-backs catcher Gabriel Moreno leaves game in the 6th
CINCINNATI (AP) — Arizona Diamondbacks catcher Gabriel Moreno left Friday night's game against the Cincinnati Reds after being struck on his right hand by a wild pitch from right-handed reliever Cristian Mena. With the Diamondbacks leading 3-2 in the sixth, Mena's pitch bounced in front of home plate and hit Moreno on his throwing hand. After consulting with the training staff, Moreno made a few throws but couldn't continue. Swelling was visible. Jose Herrera replaced Moreno behind the plate. Moreno was 0 for 2 and looking to extend his seven-game hitting streak. He was batting .281 with four homers and 17 RBIs in 49 games. ___ AP MLB:

Naylor grounded a single to right for his second RBI. The top of 11th ended when Naylor tried to steal home and was thrown out by reliever Jordan Wicks (0-1). Advertisement Shelby Miller (2-0) pitched two scoreless innings and for Drey Jameson tossed a 1-2-3 11th for his first save. In a game twice delayed by rain for a total of 98 minutes, the teams exchanged runs in the 10th. Chicago automatic runner Dansby Swanson scored from second on Nico Hoerner's single to tie it at 2. Tim Tawa came home from second in the top half when Hoerner couldn't handle reliever Wick's throw on a sacrifice bunt. Michael Busch had an RBI. The Diamondbacks limited the Cubs, who lead the majors with 145 runs, to four hits. Diamondbacks starter Merrill Kelly allowed one run and two over 5 2/3 innings.
