Doctor Who star reveals David Tennant nod in upcoming episode
Millie Gibson will be channelling some David Tennant in her next Doctor Who appearance. Next week's episode of the hit sci-fi show, titled 'Lucky Day', will mark the return of Gibson's Ruby Sunday after she last appeared in the 2024 Christmas special 'Joy to the World'. Speaking to Radio Times, the actor described her character's wardrobe in the new episode as "a bit more grown-up" but "still cool". "She's kind of packed away the tweed vibes, I'd say," she continued, adding that one outfit reminded her of the style worn by David Tennant's Doctor. "My favourite outfit is towards the end of the episode. I genuinely thought they dressed me like David Tennant!" she said. Related: Best streaming services "I had a pinstripe waistcoat and pinstripe pants and then a white shirt. I was literally just like David Tennant. "Pam Downe, our costume designer, has a really subtle way of illustrating that these are what these characters would wear when they get older. "The colour scheme is a lot of plums, a lot of dark greens and a lot of dark blues. It's just more mature colours." Related: The new episode will see Ruby face life back on earth without the Doctor. But when a dangerous new threat emerges, Ruby and UNIT must set out to save her new boyfriend Conrad (The Little Mermaid's Jonah Hauer-King) from the terrifying Shreek. Previously speaking to Collider about Ruby's journey in season 15, Gibson said: "It's the rare case where you see the companion after the Doctor. "It's never been explored before, and I think it's such a beautiful and clever thing to do. Can you imagine traveling the world with The Doctor and then seeing how they cope with it after when your life just goes back to normal? "It was the weirdest feeling. Millie Gibson on returning to Doctor Who: ‘Ruby has PTSD'
This of course could also be related to the shimmering afterimage effect of the kind of old school fame that comes when you're on Doctor Who. When you're not simply appearing on memes and Comic Con stages and launch party posts and news sites, but are in people's homes on Saturday night and post-Christmas dinners. In fact last time we saw Millie – Ruby, sorry – was at Christmas, watching from the window at the Christmas star at the end of Joy to the World, a brief sign that when she left Ncuti Gatwa's Doctor at the end of last season to be with her long lost mum, it wasn't the end. This is no one season wonder.

Of Notoriety: LaPorte Little Theatre welcomes 100th year with ‘Music Man,' Three Dog Night at Hard Rock
A parade of 76 trombones will herald the start of the 100th anniversary season this weekend at LaPorte Little Theatre with a new production of 'The Music Man' opening Friday and playing weekends through March 9. A 200-seat stage space that opened in 1925, LaPorte Little Theatre is an all-volunteer arts organization. 'The Music Man,' Meredith Willson's six-time, Tony Award-winning musical comedy, has been entertaining audiences since 1957 and is a family-friendly story shared with new generations of all ages. It is being co-directed by Jim Snyder and Scott Lenig. Shows are 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays at the stage space at 218 A St. in downtown LaPorte. Tickets are $15 for students, $18 for seniors 55 and older, and $19 for adults by calling 219-362-5113 or Artistic expression Students of the March session of After School Sculpture will learn basic ceramic techniques from local ceramicist Allyce Ebert at Chesterton Art Center, 115th South 4th Street in Chesterton. In this fun and interactive class, students will use coil, pinch and slab methods to create and glaze whimsical animal head plant pots to take home as an artistic memory and memento. The four-class weekly session starts Monday, March 3, and continues through March 31 with no class March 24. The class meets from 4:30-6 p.m. and is intended for ages 8 to 12. Songs from throughout the Depeche tune timeline are lovingly recreated; from favorites on their debut Speak and Spell to the newest fare from the band's latest, 2017's 'Spirit.'
