He used to run illegal experiments to steal powers from the Outcasts, who are beings with supernatural abilities. While he couldn't gain control of their abilities, Judi did, and she continued with his work. She kept on working in secret beneath the hospital, carrying forward her father's twisted legacy. The episode sees Wednesday and her quirky Uncle Fester, played by Fred Armisen, rescuing all the Outcasts who were being held underground. But things quickly get out of hand. The inmates start rebelling, with Tyler even killing his former controller, Marilyn Thornhill, played by Christina Ricci. Then he goes after Wednesday, throwing her out of a second-story building.
