Google Pixel 10 prototype pops up on a Chinese auction site — here's what it reveals
At this point we're about a month away from Google's launch of the Pixel 10 series and leaks are starting to pick up the pace and from some unusual places. The latest alleged leak comes from a Chinese auction site, Xianyu (spotted by 9to5Google). According to the seller's description (machine translated) the device is a Google Pixel 10 motherboard from an EVT unit. EVT stands for "Engineering Validation Testing," one of the last stages before mass production. The listing shows a Tensor G5-labeled motherboard along with two images of the phone. They are also listing the motherboard for 7,777 yuan or about $1,080 USD. Compared to a lot of prototype rumors, this one is a bit sketchy. The description mostly focuses on avoiding scammers and saying that the person who took the photos is a scammer. Beyond that, there are other odd bits including the screen designating the phone as DVT (Design Validation Test) rather than EVT. That said, the photos appear to show a device that looks similar to renders we've seen of Google's base model Pixel. Though, it does look very similar to previous Pixels with its rounded corners and flat edges. The back features the "G" logo and a the traditional horizontal camera bump. The cameras appear to have three lenses, indicating the addition of a telephoto lens, an upgrade over the two lenses in the Pixel 9, which seems to confirm previous camera rumors. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. The motherboard has a G5 marking but as regular Samsung leaker Jukan Choi pointed out, it is also labled SEC, indicating Samsung made the chip. That matters as a number of rumors have claimed that Google is switching from Samsung to TSMC to manufacture the Tensor chips going forward, starting with the G5. If this is a true prototype, it's possible that Google could have considered sticking with Samsung this year before switching to TSMC. However, we don't know how old this prototype is and the scammer-focused description doesn't elucidate. The picture Jukan Choi shared does seem very similar to the one from the Xianyu listing. How true this prototype and the chip info are will come to light on August 13 when Google is expected to launch the new phones.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 leaked in hands-on images ahead of Unpacked Event 2025: What to expect
Samsung's upcoming foldable flagship, the Galaxy Z Fold 7, has been allegedly showcased in a fresh set of hands-on images just days before its expected unveiling at the Galaxy Unpacked event next week. The leak hints at the device's revamped design and suggests several previously rumoured specifications. The images, shared by tipster Jukan Choi on X, show the handset in what appears to be a Blue Shadow variant. They offer views of the front, rear, and side profiles, highlighting a refined design approach that departs slightly from its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Fold 6. Notably, the triple rear camera layout is retained but now lacks the distinct individual camera rings seen on the previous model, as per the images. A key visual takeaway is the seemingly crease-free inner foldable display, which appears to open fully without hinge resistance. The side profile reveals a slimmer design and a clearly visible SIM tray. If leaked dimensions are accurate, the device will measure just 8.9mm thick when folded and 4.2mm when unfolded, down from the Galaxy Z Fold 6's 12.1mm and 5.6mm, respectively. The Fold 7 is expected to be available in multiple colour options including Jet Black, Silver Shadow, and Blue Shadow. Storage variants are likely to include 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. In select European markets, prices for the 256GB and 512GB models are tipped to be EUR 2,227.71 (approximately ₹ 2,23,000) and EUR 2,309.03 (approximately ₹ 2,31,100). As per previous reports, the device may feature an aluminium frame paired with a glass ceramic back. The internal main display is expected to span 8 inches, with the cover screen measuring around 6.5 inches. Under the hood, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will likely be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset. The official reveal is anticipated during Samsung's Galaxy Unpacked event next week, where the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is also expected to make its debut.

Samsung may have accidentally revealed its tri-fold phone design: Here's what it looks like
In the last few months, rumour had it that Samsung is also working on a tri-fold foldable smartphone called the Galaxy G Fold, but we had no solid news about it until now. The South Korean phone manufacturer recently rolled out a One UI 8 beta build, which includes new animations that give us an idea of how Samsung's upcoming multi-fold device might look like. According to Android Authority, these animations relate to the NFC chip on the device, but as you can see in the video below, Samsung's much rumoured tri-fold phone will most likely have three rear panels, with the leftmost panel housing the camera island. As for the middle, the leaked animations suggest that this might house the cover display, while the rightmost panel has no bezels, indicating that it might have a display but instead will act as the back panel. However, unlike Huawei Mate XT Ultimate, the world's first tri-fold phone, Samsung's tri-fold phone may have hinges that fold inwards. This is quite similar to the G-shaped fold prototype, which the company showcased earlier this year at the Mobile World Congress. An animation also suggests that the device will have two hinges of different sizes, with the left side folding inwards while the right side sandwiching on the top. In another animation, we can see that Samsung might warn users not to fold the right panel first, as the camera island might prevent the device from folding flat and damage the device. According to a post on X by the known tipster Jukan Choi, Samsung will reportedly start mass production of its tri-fold phones in September, with the product making its way to the market sometime in the last quarter of the year. Like the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate, Samsung's much-anticipated tri-fold phone is said to cross the $3,000 mark. However, we currently don't have more details about what kind of hardware Samsung will offer on its first-ever multi-fold phone.

Galaxy Z Fold 7 shows up in real-life images for the first time
Evan Blass TL;DR The Galaxy Z Fold 7 has appeared online in real-life hands-on images. The image shows Z Fold 7 in a blue shade, which is much lighter than the blue of the Galaxy Z Fold 6. While the displays remain hidden, Samsung appears to have moved the SIM tray to a different location. The Galaxy Z Fold 7's launch is just around the corner, which means we are seeing an increasing number of leaks. Earlier today, we witnessed the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 leak with cases, adding to the array of leaks that reveal the two phones in digital renders. For the first time, however, we are now seeing the bigger sibling of the two in real-life images. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 recently appeared fresh out of the box in hands-on images shared by leaker Jukan Choi on X. The phone shows up in a much lighter shade of blue than what is seen on the Galaxy Z Fold 6. This colorway has appeared previously in another Galaxy Z Fold 7 leak. It is likely to be called 'Blue Shadow' and also be available for the Flip 7. The hands-on images Choi shared also showcase silver accents around the cameras. There appear to be no Galaxy S25 Ultra-like accent rings on the camera lenses themselves, which is a relief, as those have been reported to peel off easily. Previous rumors have hinted that Samsung will upgrade the primary camera to 200MP, up from 50MP on the current Fold. Interestingly, the images also show that the SIM tray has been moved to the top edge of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 from its previous placement at the bottom. Adjacent to it lies one of the three speaker cutouts, awkwardly positioned off-center between two cellular reception bands on the body. The images don't reveal much about the two displays, nor do they indicate whether Samsung is reintroducing the hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera, as has been rumored. While the leaker also shows the Fold 7 from the side, it is difficult to verify claims about its slimness. Samsung is expected to make the Fold 7 significantly thinner, measuring only 8.9mm when shut and 4.54mm when open. As Samsung's July 9 Unpacked event draws closer, we expect to learn more about the Fold 7, as well as other products set to be revealed at the event. Got a tip? Talk to us! Hands-on Galaxy Z Fold 7 images leak, and it looks very promising
Galaxy Unpacked will take place in a few days, and Samsung will officially announce the Galaxy Z Fold 7, the Galaxy Z Flip 7, and the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. But if you can't wait that long to see what the company's next flagship foldable looks like, you're in luck. Industry insider and semiconductor analyst Jukan Choi has got their hands on real-world images of the Fold in a dark blue color: possibly called Blue Shadow. Hands-on with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 . | Image credit — Jukan Choi The recently reported lack of camera rings on the Fold 7 seems to have been accurate. It also looks very slim, and the leaks about it being only 8.9 mm when folded are very likely true as well. Unfortunately, the 8-inch main display is covered with a sheet of protective material, so we can't see how much Samsung has improved the crease. The phone will be Samsung's most advanced foldable yet, according to the company, and it shows. In fact, the Fold 7 sold me on foldables before the foldable iPhone could. The only thing I can really complain about is the rumored 4,400 mAh battery and 25W wired charging speeds. But, honestly, I can look past that. The entire Galaxy S25 line is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite. | Video credit — Samsung Fold 7 will be powered by the same processor as the S25 phones: the Snapdragon 8 Elite. Considering the improved crease reports, the much slimmer profile, and the hardware packed inside, Samsung has truly caught up, in my opinion. Reserve the upcoming book-like foldable phone by Samsung and get solid savings. If you secure a unit straight away, you'll get a $50 Samsung Credit, plus up to $1,150 additional savings. You'll also participate in a sweepstakes with a grand prize of $5,000 in Samsung Credit. Reserve at Samsung Rival foldable phones like the Honor Magic V5 and the Oppo Find N5 aren't as far ahead in terms of specs as they were compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 6. In short, the Fold 7 makes the Fold 6 look ancient. You'd only really opt for the V5 or N5 if you really needed a bigger battery or didn't care about One UI. Honor is promising seven years of updates, just like Samsung, so the V5 is the other best choice in my eyes. The foldable industry has been in a bit of a slump, but entries like the Fold 7 and next year's foldable iPhone have the potential to bring about a second wind. Especially with Samsung's foray into budget Galaxy foldables this year, these phones will become a lot more enticing. Secure your connection now at a bargain price!
