Hands-on Galaxy Z Fold 7 images leak, and it looks very promising
Industry insider and semiconductor analyst Jukan Choi has got their hands on real-world images of the Fold in a dark blue color: possibly called Blue Shadow.

The recently reported lack of camera rings on the Fold 7 seems to have been accurate. It also looks very slim, and the leaks about it being only 8.9 mm when folded are very likely true as well. Unfortunately, the 8-inch main display is covered with a sheet of protective material, so we can't see how much Samsung has improved the crease.
The phone will be Samsung's most advanced foldable yet, according to the company, and it shows. In fact, the Fold 7 sold me on foldables before the foldable iPhone could. The only thing I can really complain about is the rumored 4,400 mAh battery and 25W wired charging speeds. But, honestly, I can look past that.

Fold 7 will be powered by the same processor as the S25 phones: the Snapdragon 8 Elite. Considering the improved crease reports, the much slimmer profile, and the hardware packed inside, Samsung has truly caught up, in my opinion.

Rival foldable phones like the Honor Magic V5 and the Oppo Find N5 aren't as far ahead in terms of specs as they were compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 6. In short, the Fold 7 makes the Fold 6 look ancient. You'd only really opt for the V5 or N5 if you really needed a bigger battery or didn't care about One UI. Honor is promising seven years of updates, just like Samsung, so the V5 is the other best choice in my eyes.
The foldable industry has been in a bit of a slump, but entries like the Fold 7 and next year's foldable iPhone have the potential to bring about a second wind. This Apple Vision Pro clone is lighter and cheaper, but you couldn't buy it even if you wanted to
Apple's Vision Pro headset is an ambitious product, but it costs $3,400 and weighs over 600 g, which makes it a tough sell. Chinese company Vivo has just announced its entry into the mixed reality space with an intriguing device that has its own caveats. During its 30th anniversary event, Vivo unveiled what it calls the Discovery Edition of Vivo Vision. That's a mixed reality headset, which at first appears to be just a copy of the Apple Vision Pro. However, the device is quite different, most importantly, because you can't buy it yet. For now, it's only available for hands-on demo experiences in select stores across China. Vivo's headset is also significantly lighter and smaller than the Vision Pro , which appears to be a point of pride for the company. In its official announcement of the device, Vivo doesn't miss the opportunity to take a jab at Apple. Weighing just 398g with a height of 83 mm and a thickness of 40 mm, it is 26% smaller than the industry average, improving overall August 2025The new headset has dual 8K Micro-OLED displays, which support 94% DCI-P3 color coverage, and 1.5-degree precision eye-tracking. The fingertip gesture recognition works across 26 degrees of freedom within a vertical range of 175 degrees. The chipset is Qualcomm's Snapdragon XR2+, running the OriginOS Vision software. The company says the headset supports 'tap-through-screen' interactions and 'move-and-pinch' gestures, along with immersive movie watching, spatial sports replays, and multi-window productivity no official information about the price of the headset, but a report by Gizmochina claims it could cost 10,000 yuan, which would be about $1,395 when directly converted. The device is also likely to be available only in China when it gets released. While the Vivo Vision isn't a direct threat to Apple's spatial computing ambitions, it's a sign of changing times. I believe that's only the first of a wave of devices that will offer similar experiences to the Vision Pro , but at lower prices, and eventually one of those could reach the global markets. A rumored new Huawei Pura X foldable grows in size – and you'll be able to enjoy media even more
Remember the Huawei Pura X? It's allegedly growing in size, per latest rumors. It's not clear if it's going to be called Huawei Pura X2, but that doesn't really matter right now, does it?As preliminary information has it, the next Huawei Pura will be wider than the original. There isn't a premiere date set as well, but tipsters from the Far East expect it until the end of 2025. That's a bit odd, given that the original Pura X was released in April the leaks point at a larger, 8-inch foldable display. That's much bigger than the original Pura X's 6.3-inch screen. That makes it far more natural to use and, more importantly, perfect for watching videos. The wider canvas means fewer black bars and a much larger, more immersive viewing experience. This design brings another major benefit: better battery life. One of the biggest drawbacks of traditional flip foldables has been their cramped dimensions, which limit battery capacity. The Pura X solves this by adopting a wider form factor, giving it enough room to fit a significantly larger cell. With a 4,700 mAh battery, it offers nearly 20% more capacity than Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip 6, which is limited to just 4,000 mAh. The new Galaxy Z Flip 7 upped that to 4,300 mAh, but the original Pura X is still a bit ahead. Huawei has also gone a step further with the camera setup. While Samsung has released seven generations of Flip phones without ever adding a telephoto lens, the Pura X manages to include a triple-camera system with a 3.5x telephoto sensor.
