You feel so helpless, and there's a mystery there as to why. So I had to go through that, like you did, right?" Judd said to host Clint Black, whose father also died by suicide. "And if I can go out on this tour, this is heavy, and I can go out on stage and I can help someone decide to stay instead of leaving, then I've done my job." "And I just know that what we're going through after our parents' death is, I'm now an orphan. I have to decide whether the cup is half full or half empty," she added. Judd became a grandmother after her daughter Grace Kelley welcomed Kaliyah in March 2022. The musician has been caring for her granddaughter after her daughter was arrested multiple times. "I don't have a computer. I don't watch television unless it's planned 'cause I'm raising my 2½-year-old granddaughter, I listen to her," Judd shared on the show at the time. "So I don't really, I do a lot of Instagram." Jenna Bush Hager then asked if Judd watches any kids' TV shows, such as Bluey, with her granddaughter. Judd said that while Kaliyah isn't interested in the animated show, she does like Ms. Rachel, and Judd joked, "I'm about to lose my mind." "Listen, I have three kids switch to — now I like Ms. Rachel, nothing wrong with Ms. Rachel," Bush Hager responded. "I do too. I just can't talk like that. I wish I could be that animated, but I just don't know how," Judd joked, with the two women later agreeing that they like Peppa Pig. Read the original article on People

Boy, 16, missing after getting ‘into difficulty' in London lake
A 16-year-old boy is missing after he 'got into difficulty' in a lake in south-east London, the Metropolitan Police said. Officers and paramedics were called to Beckenham Place Park in Lewisham on Friday shortly after 3pm. A Met Police spokesman said: 'A 16-year-old boy is believed to have got into difficulty in the water and is now missing.' Emergency services continued the search for the teenager into the late evening. The park was evacuated and police have informed the boy's next of kin, who are being supported by specialist officers. London Ambulance Service said an ambulance crew, an incident response officer and members of its hazardous area response team had been dispatched. 'We are still at the scene working alongside our emergency services partners,' the spokesman added. Over the past week, there have been a number of incidents of children going missing in open bodies of water, coinciding with the warmer weather. On Thursday night, Cambridgeshire Police recovered the body of a 16-year-old boy from a lake in Peterborough. He had been swimming in Crown Lakes in Farcet when he got into difficulty at around 4pm on Thursday. The force said search teams recovered his body from the lake just before midnight. A spokesman said: 'While formal identification is yet to take place, it is believed to be that of the missing boy and his family has been notified. This case will now be handed to the coroner.' Elsewhere, an 11-year-old girl is missing after she was last seen paddling in the Thames on Monday afternoon. Kaliyah Coa had been playing with friends during a school inset day when she entered the river near Barge House Causeway, near Woolwich, east London. A police spokesman confirmed on Friday night that active searches for Kaliyah had stopped. Broaden your horizons with award-winning British journalism. Missing girl, 11, last seen paddling in the Thames pictured for first time
An 11-year-old girl who went missing after being seen paddling in the Thames has been pictured for the first time. Kaliyah Coa had been playing with friends during a school inset day when she entered the river near Barge House Causeway, near Woolwich, east London, on Monday afternoon. Police named the child on Tuesday evening, with an 'extensive' search under way to locate her. Since the incident, helicopters and rescue boats have been seen patrolling the stretch of water for any sign of the Kaliyah. Ambulance crews, paramedics and a hazardous area response team were dispatched by the London Ambulance Service, and an RNLI lifeboat was launched. Chief Supt Dan Card, the local policing commander, said: 'Our specialist officers are supporting Kaliyah's family through this deeply upsetting time and our thoughts go out to all those impacted by what has happened. 'We are committed to finding Kaliyah and are working with partners to conduct a thorough search over a wide area – utilising drone technology and boats. 'I'd like to thank the members of the public, our first-responding officers, and colleagues from other emergency services, as they responded rapidly to carry out a large-scale search during a highly pressurised and distressing time. 'Equally we appreciate this has affected the wider community, who have been extremely supportive. 'You will see extra officers in the area during the coming days – if you have any concerns, then please speak to them.' Neighbours described hearing shouts and screams, while other children playing at the time said a girl had disappeared in the water and they could not find her. Kerry Benadjaoud, 62, said she had taken a life ring down to the water but could not see the girl. The grandmother, who was born and raised in the area, said she found shoes, a sock, a coat and a phone near the river and handed the items to the police. 'Apparently, she was paddling, so her socks and shoes were off, her coat, then she must have slipped and gone down,' she added. Barge House Causeway is a concrete slope that goes directly into the River Thames, and is used to move boats. Residents pointed out that it appeared to be covered in moss and was dangerously slippery. Broaden your horizons with award-winning British journalism. Girl missing in River Thames in east London named as Kaliyah Coa
An 11-year-old girl who is missing after entering the River Thames in London on Monday has been named by police as Kaliyah Coa. Kaliyah, who had been playing during a school inset day, entered the water near Bargehouse Causeway near London City airport in east London. Emergency services were called at 1.23pm on Monday with London ambulance service, London fire brigade, the RNLI and the Coastguard searching for the schoolgirl. The Metropolitan police said officers were leading a recovery mission along the Thames to find Kaliyah. Ch Supt Dan Card, local policing commander for north-east London, said: 'Our specialist officers are supporting Kaliyah's family through this deeply upsetting time and our thoughts go out to all those impacted by what has happened. 'We are committed to finding Kaliyah and are working with partners to conduct a thorough search over a wide area – utilising drone technology and boats. 'I'd like to thank members of the public, our first responding officers, and colleagues from other emergency services, as they responded rapidly to carry out a large-scale search during a highly pressurised and distressing time.' A woman said she carried a life ring to the Thames shoreline to try to save Kaliyah but was unable to find her. Kerry Benadjaoud, 62, told the PA news agency on Monday: 'My neighbour next door, she was outside doing her garden and there was two little kids running, and they said 'my friend's in the water.'' A man told Benadjaoud that he had called the police, she said, adding: 'But he said at the time he could see [the girl's] hands going down. So, by the time I got down there with the ring I couldn't find her.'
