UP T20 League 2025 Schedule, Live Streaming: The Uttar Pradesh T20 League returned for its 3rd season on Sunday with Meerut Mavericks vs Kanpur Superstars match which was won by Meerut. It was followed by Kashi Rudras vs Gaur Gorakhpur Lions and Noida Kings vs Lucknow Falcons on Monday which was won by Kashi and Noida respectively. It's a round-robin plus knockout tournament where six teams will face each other during the league stage before the top 4 progresses to the semifinals. The winners of the last 4 will qualify for the final at Lucknow's Ekana Stadium on September 6. Veer, Mavi shine as Noida Kings, Kashi Rudras clinch victories
Lucknow: In a tense finish, Noida Kings defeated Lucknow Falcons by two wickets with just one ball to spare to bring alive the UPT20 League after two one-sided games at the start of the tournament. Noida owed their victory to a fine innings by Prashant Veer , who missed his fifty by two runs but clinched the victory for his team despite losing wickets at the other end. Batting first, Falcons upper order collapsed early but Priyam Garg's brilliant 73 runs off 42 balls set the tone. Vipraj Nigam (21) and Sameer Chaudhary (24) also helped Lucknow Falcons put up a fighting total of 165/8. For Noida Kings, Naman Tiwari took two wickets on consecutive deliveries finishing with excellent figures of 4/28. Noida Kings had a good start by skipper Shivam Chaudhary (26) and Anivesh Chaudhary (33) and at the end of powerplay they were 68/2. Thereafter, the middle order collapsed but Prashant Veer smashed brilliant 48 (41b,3x4,2x6) to keep the team in the hunt. Jasmer Dhankhar (4) hit a boundary in the second last ball to clinch the game for his team. Kashi Rudras lost two wickets in the powerplay at 47/2, Mavi 54 (21b, 6*6) hammered fifty off just 19 balls. For the eighth wicket, Mavi and Shiva Singh made a partnership of 87 runs off just 37 balls, the duo cruising the team to a good total of 176/8. Earlier, skipper Karan Sharma smashed 39 runs off 19 balls but was dismissed by Abdul Rehman. In the middle overs wicket keeper Upendra Yadav and Yashovardhan Singh made a crucial partnership of 38 off 35 runs. Star India pacer Shivam Mavi, who has been out of action for a while now owing to injuries, smashed a 19-ball 50 in the ongoing Uttar Pradesh Premier League, while playing for the Kashi Rudras against the Gaur Gorakhpur Lions. He has been out of action in the IPL for the last two years.
