EastEnders' Kat tears into Alfie as she has a theory about who he's helping
A lot has changed since EastEnders' Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) left Walford in search of Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan) last month, not least his wife Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace) buying the Queen Vic. But if he thinks she's about to roll the red carpet out for his return, he might want to think again. Next week's episodes will see Alfie finally come home after his secret trip, and it's not long before Kat is tearing into him for lying about where he has been. As fans of the BBC soap will remember, last month saw Kat's estranged daughter Zoe make a sudden and unexpected reappearance after 20 years. But shortly after she was reunited with cousin Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) and step-dad Alfie, she made a run for it with Alfie soon heading off to Spain to track her down. With Kat in the dark about Zoe's reappearance, Alfie lied to her and told her he was spending time with his brother Spencer Moon (Christopher Parker) in Australia. When Kat later found out he wasn't really in Australia, Stacey had to cover for him, lying that Alfie had another cancer scare and was away clearing his head. EastEnders' Alfie Moon makes drunken Zoe Slater confession - and fans are stunned
EastEnders fans were left in shock during tonight's episode as Alfie Moon made a shock drunken confession about Zoe Slater - has he finally exposed himself to Kat? Alfie Moon made a shock confession to his wife Kat in tonight's episode of EastEnders after he was four beers deep. Viewers are aware that Alfie is currently in Barcelona in an attempt to help and bring his stepdaughter Zoe Slater back to Walford. Kat is still unaware of his whereabouts, after first believing he was away in Australia visiting his brother Spencer. Stacey is the only one who knows of Alfie's exact whereabouts and what he's doing, as she confirmed Jean's suspicions of him going to help Hayley Slater and their daughter Cherry to throw them off. Tonight, Kat learnt about the fake story, as she was devastated he lied about having another cancer scare. It's been a busy time for Kat while Alfie's been away as she took over as landlady at the Queen Vic. Tonight, the residents threw a party to welcome Kat back into her role - while Alfie was drinking for completely different reasons over in Spain. It looked like Alfie's guilt got the better of him as he made a shock confession. After a call from a guilt ridden Stacey told Alfie that Kat knew they were lying to her and he needed to return - but Alfie went one step further. Spilling all he said: "When you came round to Stacey's Air BnB Zoe was there. But she wasn't in a good place Kat. She was in trouble and she needed money." With tears in his eyes clutching a beer, Alfie continued: "I really did my best to bring her back to Walford. "I know you're going to hate me right now. But I don't want to lose you Kat. I can't lose you. I don't want to lose you." Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan said: "Of course Alfie got the wrong end of the stick when Stacey said Kat 'Knows everything' - Stacey should've filled him on the Hayley lie that she's been peddling since Jean brought it up. Kat better not listen to that voicemail otherwise Stacey is screwed." "ALFIE TELLING KAT IN A VOICEMAIL OMFG," exclaimed another shocked fan, as a third echoed: "ALFIE'S VOICEMAIL?????? ARE YOU JOKING ME????? I JUMPED OUT OF BED!" Will Kat listen to the voicemail?

First look pictures as Kat Slater launches new EastEnders era in The Queen Vic
New EastEnders pictures reveal the dawn of a new era on Albert Square, as Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace) takes over as landlady of The Queen Vic. As viewers of the BBC soap have seen, the Slater clan decided to play a practical joke on Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt), when he announced his decision to buy the famed boozer. Pretending she'd won £100k on a scratchcard, Stacey (Lacey Turner) took great joy in seeing him squirm. Unfortunately, the prospect of having that amount of cash in her pocket seemed out of the question. That was, until, a man from an insurance company arrived to tell her that her ex-husband Martin (James Bye) had left the same amount of money in his policy. She wanted to secure her family's financial future by making an investment – and hoped that Kat would accept her offer of stepping back behind the bar. Unfortunately, as the auction began, Kat's husband Alfie (Shane Richie) dropped the bombshell to Stacey that he needed €50,000 to ensure he could bring his estranged step-daughter Zoe (Michelle Ryan) back to Walford. Between 1985 and 1991, the pub was owned by fictional brewery Luxford & Copley, with the following in charge: 1985-88, 2005: Den Watts Den Watts 1988-90: Frank Butcher Frank Butcher 1990-91: Eddie Royle Sharon Watts, Phil Mitchell and brother Grant then bought the famed boozer, and it has been in private ownership ever since. Below are the names above the door. 1991-95, 2001-02, 2020-21: Sharon Watts 1995-2001, 2002-04, 2005-09, 2010: Peggy Mitchell 2005: Chrissie Watts 2009: Archie Mitchell 2010, 2013: Roxy Mitchell 2010-12, 2025-: Kat Moon 2010-13: Alfie Moon 2013-20, 2021-22: Mick Carter 2013-20: Shirley Carter 2013-20, 2021-25: Linda Carter 2023-25: Elaine Knight Stace initially agreed, but after a heart-to-heart with mum Jean (Gillian Wright), she knew that her money was best spent on those who had been by her side through thick and thin. She rushed to tell Kat the good news, and in a bid to stall the auctioneer from slamming his hammer, Jean set off the fire alarm to send everyone out into The Square. As the winning bid – placed by a ruthless developer who planned to redevelop The Vic into flats – was about to be accepted, Kat told current owner Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) that she could match the offer. More Trending In yesterday's instalment, Linda began to pack her bags and looked around her home in reflection of both good and bad times. She knew it was the right decision to make. Kat promised her that she'd keep her late husband Mick's (Danny Dyer) West Ham scarf on display as a fitting tribute, and as the new images show, it's still proudly wrapped around the bottles of whiskey. Looking down over Kat's shoulder is a picture of Peggy Mitchell, who is undoubtedly the most iconic landlady ever to grace the building.
