Influencer's killing: Mastermind took flight to UAE just 7 hours after crime

Bathinda: Radical group 'Kaum De Rakhe' chief Amritpal Singh Mehron, mastermind in the killing of social media influencer Kanchan Tiwari aka 'Kamal Kaur Bhabhi', ran away from Indian and left for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) only hours after the crime in the wee hours of June 10, revealed police on Sunday. Tiwari was killed at 2am on June 10, and a look-out circular (LOC) was issued against him on June 14. After the LOC was issued, his travel history was checked, and it was found he had already left India for the UAE. Mehron was present with his two accomplices, Jaspreet Singh and Nimratjit Singh, when they killed Tiwari by strangulation. Before killing her, Amritpal snatched both of her mobile phones and forced her to share their passwords. Police said Amritpal left Bathinda soon after the crime and boarded the UAE flight from Amritsar airport at 9.15 am. A road journey from the scene of crime to the Amritsar airport takes 3.5 hours.
