A 70-year-old man trekked 2,200 kilometres from Karnataka to Kedarnath with his friends.
A 70-year-old man from Kalaburagi (Gulbarga) district in Karnataka has completed an extraordinary journey, walking hundreds of miles to Kedarnath Dham in Uttarakhand. The trek took him nearly two months to finish. The elderly devotee revealed in a now-viral video on X (formerly Twitter) that he started his spiritual padyatra from Kalaburagi on March 3 with a group of other pilgrims and reached the Kedarnath Shrine on May 1.
Over two months, the group trekked across plains, forests, and mountains, covering an incredible 2,200 miles on foot. As the group arrives at the temple, one of Uttarakhand's revered Char Dham sites, they are seen celebrating.
Now, a video of the septuagenarian and his friends at Kedarnath has gone viral, inspiring praise for their tenacity and dedication. The pilgrim in the video claims that when one is blessed by God, such a journey is achievable. In addition, the elderly pilgrim talks about the spiritual fortitude that enabled him to accomplish this.
The video was shared on X on May 15, and it has collected over 2 lakh views so far. Many viewers were moved by the clip and commended the pilgrims for their tenacity, devotion, and physical stamina. The passion displayed by the septuagenarian and his friends has inspired social media users, who have praised their voyage.

One of the most respected pilgrimage locations in India is Kedarnath, which is tucked away in Uttarakhand's Garhwal Himalayas. One of the twelve Jyotirlingas and a major destination on the Char Dham Yatra, it is home to the historic Kedarnath Temple, which is devoted to Lord Shiva.
At an elevation of more than 11,700 feet, the temple is encircled by snow-capped peaks and stunning scenery, drawing hundreds of pilgrims and hikers annually.
