Over 87,000 Students Benefit From Nadi Nurture Dilea Initiative
KOTA BHARU, Aug 8 (Bernama) -- A total of 87,040 students nationwide have benefited from free tuition under the National Information Dissemination Centre (NADI) Nurture Digital Learning (DILEA) initiative since it was introduced in July last year. NADI Nurture DILEA coordinator Siti Fatimah Mohd Saman said the platform supported learning for students aged 13 to 18 through a Learning Management System (LMS), enabling them to access their accounts at the centre and attend live classes according to the set schedule. She said the DILEA system contained all the necessary learning elements, aimed at offering students a variety of up-to-date and engaging learning methods. Siti Fatimah added that over 100 tuition teachers were actively involved in delivering lessons under the programme. 'All learning activities are carried out online using digital technology, and we also encourage the community to visit NADI to make use of the facilities available at the centre, she told Bernama at the Kelantan MADANI Rakyat Programme (PMR) 2025, held at the Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium here today. NADI Nurture DILEA, supported by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), aims to offer free benefits to the community through five core elements, namely Academic Live Class Guidance, which includes Open Tuition and Guidance Tuition; Guidance and Progress Assessment; English Language Mastery; Revision Videos; and Special Programmes. Siti Fatimah said the PMR 2025 in Kelantan served as a platform for NADI Nurture DILEA to expand its outreach and promote free digital education to the community. The three-day Kelantan PMR 2025, which runs until Aug 9, is spearheaded by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) in collaboration with the Implementation Coordination Unit of the Prime Minister's Department (ICU JPM), with support from various ministries and government agencies. The programme offers more than 100 direct services to the public, showcases the latest technologies, and features various community outreach initiatives, all part of the holistic MADANI government approach.

Rahmah Sale A Crowd-puller At Kelantan PMR 2025
KOTA BHARU, Aug 7 (Bernama) -- Amid increasingly challenging economic conditions, the Rahmah MADANI sale, held in conjunction with the Kelantan MADANI Rakyat Programme (PMR) 2025, is a source of relief for the people as it offers essential goods at significantly lower prices. The initiative under the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) not only eases the burden of the rising cost of living but also positions PMR as a people-friendly one-stop platform. Visitors can also redeem their Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA) assistance and purchase subsidised cooking oil, making the Rahmah sale one of the most impactful components of the three-day programme. Housewife Kamilah Mohamad Nor, 65, from Kampung Seri Kemunting, Besut, said the Rahmah sale enabled her to plan household expenses more efficiently. 'Usually, I spend between RM100 and RM150 on essentials like rice, onions, and flour here. The savings are noticeable and enough to cover our family's monthly needs,' she told Bernama when met at the Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium today. Meanwhile, Mariati Mat Zin, 52, described the Rahmah sale as a 'smart addition' to Kelantan PMR 2025. 'I came here for the agriculture exhibition, but took the opportunity to shop at the Rahmah sale. It makes PMR more people-centric and inclusive,' she said. Kelantan PMR 2025, which kicked off today, is spearheaded by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) in collaboration with the Implementation Coordination Unit of the Prime Minister's Department (ICU JPM) and supported by various ministries and government agencies. The programme offers more than 100 direct services to the public, showcases the latest technologies, and features various community outreach initiatives, all part of the holistic MADANI government approach.

Stylish Hair, Smooth-Running Motorcycles, All For Free At Kelantan PMR 2025
KOTA BHARU, Aug 7 (Bernama) -- Feeling like going to an auto workshop or the barbers? Just drop by the Kelantan MADANI Rakyat Programme (PMR) 2025, where visitors can not only change their motorcycle engine oil, but also emerge with a new stylish haircut, all free of charge. On average, visitors described this initiative as evidence of the government's genuine concern for the needs of the people, notably the low-income group who are increasingly squeezed by the pressure of the cost of living. Mohd Siaful Muizuddin, 33, for one, said he was satisfied with the quality of the engine oil lubricant used, even though the service was provided for free. 'Many free services that truly meet the needs of the people are provided in this programme, including black (engine) oil change. Interestingly, the products used are of very good quality, like those used in motorcycle workshops. 'Usually, the cost of changing lubricant oil reaches RM18 to RM20. This shows that the services offered are not just symbolic, but truly beneficial,' he told Bernama at the Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium compound, here today. The lubricant oil change service is operated by 15 trainees and instructors from two Giat MARA institutions in Kelantan, with a target of 100 motorcycles per day. A Giat MARA Prima Melor trainee, Shahrul Rosli, 21, said that while helping ease the burden of the people, the programme also gives him a chance to gain real-world experience. 'I have just completed a course in motorcycle technology, and this service has been the best practical training for me before opening my own workshop,' he said. Meanwhile, the free haircut service conducted by eight trained members from the Malaysian Volunteer Department (RELA) also received a warm welcome among visitors of all ages.

Block Batik Showcases Local Heritage Identity At Kelantan PMR 2025
KOTA BHARU, Aug 7 (Bernama) -- The unique charm of block batik, crafted using hand-carved wooden or copper stamps, continues to captivate enthusiasts as the patterns complement traditional outfits like the baju kurung or kebaya beautifully. Imperium Batik Ventures entrepreneur Siti Hajar Ismail, 35, said demand for block batik is on the rise as its motifs reflect the beauty and intricacy of Malay culture, with elements of nature such as flowers, leaves, as well as geometric carvings. 'I'm the fifth generation to inherit this batik-making business from my ancestors. Block batik remains in demand and relevant even today, and I believe this heritage must be preserved and safeguarded. 'We can produce over 30 block batik designs with patterns such as hibiscus, sunflower, and rice grains. Each design requires high attention to detail to ensure a perfect print, and the colours don't fade despite repeated stamping,' she said when met by Bernama at the Kelantan MADANI Rakyat Programme (PMR) 2025 at Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium today. Elaborating further, Siti Hajar said the process of making block batik begins with carving specific motifs onto wooden blocks, which are then dipped in dye and repeatedly stamped onto fabric, typically cotton or silk. 'For Kelantan PMR 2025, I'm selling various block batik designs priced between RM150 and RM300, with discounts of up to 20 per cent. 'These patterns are suitable for people of all ages and genders, as they not only reflect the beauty of nature but also carry symbolic meaning tied to local customs and traditions,' she added. For private sector employee Siti Aminah Zahari, 28, the variety of block batik designs in bright colours made them more eye-catching, compared to the intricate and complex batik lukis (hand-painted batik). Kelantan PMR 2025, a three-day event which kicked off today, is spearheaded by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) in collaboration with the Implementation Coordination Unit of the Prime Minister's Department (ICU JPM) and supported by various ministries and government agencies.
