Apple Alert notifies Wisconsin authorities of crash, drone used to find vehicle off road
BRIGHTON, Wis. (WFRV) – An Apple Alert notification alerted local authorities to a crash in southeast Wisconsin, where a thermal drone had to be used to find the wreck deep in a wooded area. Just after 11:30 p.m. on Friday, June 13, first responders with the Kansasville Fire and Rescue Department say they got an Apple automated crash notification alerting them to a crash near the intersection of STH 142 and 224th Avenue in Brighton. Deputies with the Kenosha County Sheriff's Office immediately responded but were not able to find the vehicle right away. Using a thermal-imaging drone, the car was found roughly 50 feet off the roadway and hidden in thick brush and multiple trees. GBPD searching for shooting suspect, victim left with life-threatening injuries First aid was immediately given to the driver before he was taken to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Man found dead in Wisconsin drainage culvert, exposure suspected
SOMERS, Wis. (WFRV) – A 54-year-old Wisconsin man is dead after authorities discovered his body in a drainage culvert on Sunday night. According to the Kenosha County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a death investigation shortly after 10 a.m. in the 10300 block of County Highway T in the Village of Somers. Deputies seek victims in card skimming incidents at 2 Wisconsin Kwik Trips, suspect in custody
KENOSHA COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) – Deputies are asking anyone who may have used ATMs at two southeastern Wisconsin Kwik Trips to come forward after a suspect tied to card skimming was recently taken into custody. According to the Kenosha County Sheriff's Office, on March 18, authorities took a person suspected of card skimming into custody. The person allegedly had what deputies believe to be cloned credit/debit card data from multiple victims. Deputies are asking anyone who used ATMs between March 13 and 16 at the Mt. Pleasant Kwik Trip on Washington Avenue and the Pleasant Prairie Kwik Trip on 39th Avenue to contact detectives at (262) 605-5102. Pursuit in Wisconsin ends with a crash in Illinois, four people arrested including victim
(WFRV) – Authorities in Wisconsin say a pursuit Monday morning that started in Wisconsin and ended with a crash in Illinois resulted in four arrests including the victim of the crash. According to a release from the Kenosha County Sheriff's Office, at 8:45 a.m., a deputy found a Chevrolet Cavalier whose owner was known to not have a valid driver's license and was wanted out of Lake County, Illinois for numerous criminal charges. Waushara County man arrested after Fond du Lac drug bust, police chase Officials say the deputy initiated a traffic stop on USH-45 at CTH-C and the suspect vehicle immediately took off at a high rate of speed heading south on USH-45. Kenosha County deputies, due to the extreme risk to the public if the driver would get away, continued the pursuit into Illinois where they were then assisted by the Lake County Sheriff's Office. The pursuit came to an end when the suspect vehicle crashed into another vehicle at the intersection of USH-45 and IL-173 disabling both vehicles. In the suspect vehicle, 31-year-old Mason J. Spencer was the registered owner of the vehicle and was arrested for numerous active warrants. 32-year-old Raymond Underwood was said to be the driver and was arrested by the Lake County Sheriff's Office on numerous charges including felony fleeing and four counts of reckless endangering safety. Another passenger in the suspect car was initially arrested and later released without criminal charges. The victim turned out to also have outstanding warrants and was arrested and taken to jail.
