Kia Syros EV Spotted In India - Expected Launch, Price And Features
Kia Syros EV: The upcoming Kia Syros EV has been spotted testing for the first time, giving us an early look at what Kia's latest electric SUV might bring to the market. While the official launch date hasn't been confirmed yet, it's expected to arrive in India sometime between January and March 2026, sold alongside the ICE-powered Syros. Pricing for the Syros EV is likely to be between Rs 15 lakh and Rs 20 lakh. Kia is betting big on its EV lineup, with the Syros and the recently unveiled Carens Clavis EV. According to the reports, Kia estimated that both vehicles could contribute a combined 50,000-60,000 units in sales by 2026. Even under heavy camouflage, the Syros EV's boxy design was evident, with its headlights, tail-lights, and alloy wheels peeking through. The test mule also sports a radar unit on the front grille for ADAS features, outside rearview mirrors, parking sensors, and a tall greenhouse area above the beltline. The brake callipers on the test mule were finished in a lime green shade. Usually, Kia reserves this colour for its performance EVs like the EV9 GT in international markets. The charging port is positioned on the front right fender. While the interior wasn't revealed in the spy shots, it's expected to borrow most of its features from the ICE version. That means it could get dual 12.3-inch screens for the infotainment and instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, reclining, sliding and ventilated second-row seats, Level 2 ADAS, and a 360-degree camera. The Syros EV is built on the same K1 platform as the Hyundai Inster EV. It's likely to offer front-wheel drive and could share Hyundai's 42kWh and 49kWh battery packs. For reference, the Inster EV delivers a WLTP-certified range of around 300km with the smaller pack and up to 355km with the larger one in the global market.

Kia Syros EV spotted. What to expect
Kia Syros EV is one of the upcoming electric cars among the most expected ones in India. The carmaker is currently working on the Syros EV, and a test mule with a complete camouflage wrap has been spotted for the very first time. The Kia test mule was spotted plugged in at an electric vehicle charging station. However, despite the camouflage wrap, the Kia Syros EV's key elements can be figured out. The Kia Syros EV's upright stance and boxy proportions are evident from the prototype despite the heavy camouflage. Expect the electric car to come with a design identical to the standard Kia Syros. This could come in line with what Kia has done with the Carens Clavis EV, which sports an identical design to the Kia Carens Clavis. Some of the design elements of the upcoming Kia Syros EV would include squared off wheel arches, short overhangs and a tall glasshouse. Adding the distinctiveness to the electric SUV will be unique aero-styled wheels with Kia branding, which suggests a focus on efficiency. It will come with vertically stacked headlamps, positioned on the edges of the bumper, while the vertical taillight clusters flank the tailgate. Also, it gets a flat roofline, an upright tailgate. Notably, the charging port is mounted on the front left fender, not at the front like the Carens Clavis EV. With its global debut expected in the coming months, the Kia Syros EV is expected to be positioned below the Carens Clavis EV in the brand's India lineup. The technical details of the EV remain undisclosed, but expect it to be available with multiple battery pack options. Expect the top-spec Syros EV to come promising 300–400 kilometres of range per charge. Kia Syros is already gaining traction in the Indian passenger vehicle market. The electric iteration of the EV would further bolster Kia's sales. Check out Upcoming EV Cars in India, Upcoming EV Bikes in India. First Published Date:

Tesla Opens Second Showroom In Delhi's Aerocity With Four Superchargers
Tesla, the US-based electric vehicle manufacturer, has opened its second showroom in India at Worldmark 2, Aerocity, Delhi. This comes right after the opening of the first showroom in BKC, Mumbai, on July 15, 2025. Covering an area of 8,200 sq ft, this will be the base of the brand to serve consumers in the national capital region. Located near the airport, embassies, and corporate offices, the showroom gives the brand more exposure to reach its target audience. Leveraging the advantage of its location, Tesla has set up four V4 Superchargers in the basement parking. The EV manufacturer also has plans to introduce Superchargers in different locations in Delhi NCR, including Saket, Noida, and Horizon Center. This follows the inauguration of the first supercharger in Mumbai a few days ago. The expansion plans also include charging network setup in eight different locations, including places like Hyderabad, Pune, Chennai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, and Jaipur. The V4 Supercharger, which consists of DC Chargers, is complemented by four Destination Charging Stalls that feature AC chargers. With these charging units available, the Supercharging stalls can achieve peak charging speeds of 250 kW, costing Rs 24/kW, while the 11 kW charging speed is priced at Rs 11/kW. Using these chargers, the newly introduced Tesla Model Y can gain as much as 267 km of range in just 15 minutes of charging. To provide some perspective, the company states that this range is sufficient for five round trips between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport and the Gateway of India. To utilize the charger, Tesla electric vehicle owners must connect their vehicles. Customers can check for availability using the Tesla app. This app also allows users to track the charging progress, get notifications during the charging process, and make payments for charging. In India, purchasers of the rear-wheel drive variant of the Tesla Model Y can choose between a 60 kWh battery or a larger 75 kWh battery pack. This RWD model is equipped with a single electric motor that generates approximately 295 hp. Furthermore, the 60 kWh battery is reported to have a WLTP range of 500 km when fully charged, while the long-range model is said to provide a range of 622 km.

Kia Syros EV Spied For The First Time- Next Big Launch Soon?
Kia is expanding its presence in the electric vehicle market with the launch of multiple products. Recently, the South Korean giant launched the Carens Clavis EV in India and seems to have a plan to follow it with the launch of the Syros EV. Although the brand is yet to make an official announcement, the spy shots of the new electric SUV have surfaced on the internet, giving us a glimpse of what to expect from the new model. The pictures shared by Autospy show a camouflaged test mule of the Kia Syros EV. The vehicle has been plugged into a public DC fast charger, revealing the charging port present on the front fender of the SUV. This represents a different approach of the brand compared to the Carens Clavis EV, which had a nose-mounted port. Taking a closer look, the pictures reveal that the vehicle might have a similar charging on the other side, as well. This is because the camo has a similar opening on the other side. Looking at the design, the Kia Syros EV has a very similar appearance to its ICE counterpart already on sale in India. However, there are a few changes. For instance, the EV features Lime Green brake callipers, which are typically used by the brand for its GT models. Diving deeper, both ends have disc brakes and aero-optimised alloy wheels. The test mule also seems to be equipped with front and rear parking sensors, hinting at the presence of an ADAS suite. The interior design is expected to be very similar to that of the internal combustion engine (ICE) version. However, it will operate on the upgraded EV-specific software for the displays and may feature different trims and upholstery as well. The list of features is expected to remain unchanged. The electric version will also be built on the K1 platform, which serves as the foundation for models such as the Hyundai Casper, Inster, and Exter available overseas. This means that the electric Syros will utilize a front-wheel drive configuration. It might adopt the battery packs from the Hyundai Inster, which include 42kWh and 49kWh options. In the case of the Hyundai, these batteries are claimed to provide ranges of 300km and 355km, respectively. However, the Clavis EV that is currently available comes with 42kWh and 51.4kWh battery options.
