Peyton and Eli Manning star in two FanDuel Super Bowl commercials
Ahead of the Super Bowl on Sunday, former NFL quarterbacks Peyton Manning and Eli Manning faced off in FanDuel's 'Kick of Destiny' event outside the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. Peyton missed his first kick wide left and Eli's first attempt fell short. Peyton then hit the right upright on his second attempt before Eli struck his right down the middle, winning the competition. Their older brother, Cooper, provided commentary for Fox alongside Rob Gronkowski, who participated in the first two editions of the Kick of Destiny (he failed both times). 'It's unbelievable, I've been dreaming of this moment,' Eli said after beating Peyton. 'I've just been grinding, been working so hard and finally, to be a kicker, it just feels right.' Eli said he pulled a muscle during the kick but it was 'well worth it.' Giants legend Eli Manning bests Peyton to win 'Kick of Destiny'
Retired New York Giants quarterback and future Hall of Famer, Eli Manning, didn't leave the football world after retirement. Neither did his brother, Peyton. For the last three years, the brothers have hosted 'ManningCast' every Monday night during Monday Night Football, but that's not the only venture the brothers are part of. For the third time, FanDuel ran the Kick of Destiny challenge on Sunday, dubbed Kick of Destiny 3. What started as a Super Bowl commercial featuring Rob Gronkowski attempting a 25-yard field goal is being morphed into something else. This year, the Manning brothers took it to a new level and made it a competition. You can find the rules here. In the 3:00 p.m. ET hour of the pregame show, Eli and Peyton squared off. Eli won the toss and chose for Peyton to kick first. In Round 1, they kicked from 25 yards out and both brothers missed — Eli completely whiffed. In the second round, they moved the spot to a 20-yard field goal attempt. Peyton went first again and his attempt looked like it might sneak in before hitting the upright and bouncing back. Then it was Eli's turn. He set the ball, took his steps back, hyped up the crowd, and lined up the kick… It was good! Eli Manning bested Peyton again. He's now 3-0 in the Pro Bowl and 1-0 in the Kick of Destiny. After winning, Manning said it was 'well worth it,' referring to some soreness he experienced in practice. The younger brother outdid the older brother and will have bragging rights for however long he likes.

The FanDuel Kick of Destiny is an annual event, now in its third year, that takes place prior to the Super Bowl. The event sees someone (we've only seen retired NFL players try it thus far), in this case Peyton and Eli Manning, attempting to make field goals in order to give bettors on FanDuel a share of $10 million in bonus bets. We've yet to see a kicker actually make the Kick of Destiny ... yet. When is the FanDuel Kick of Destiny? The competition will be held during FOX's pre-game show for Super Bowl 59. FanDuel Kick of Destiny: Eli vs. Peyton This year's event will work differently than previous years. For Gronkowski, it was just one kick. If he made it, everyone wins. If he missed it, everyone lost. This year, though, there is a much better chance for at least some people to walk away victorious. Each kicker will start with a 25-yard field goal attempt. If the first kicker misses, the second kicker will be given a chance to win. If the first kick is good, however, the second kicker will be given a chance to tie and force a second round. There will be a maximum of three rounds. Bettors who picked Eli to win will win part of the $10 million in bonus bets if he wins, while bettors who picked Peyton will only win their share if Peyton wins.
