Road closure for Windsor-Essex Pride Parade
With a Pride Parade in Windsor-Essex this Sunday, Ottawa Street will be closed throughout the morning. The road is closed beginning at 9:00 a.m. between Monmouth Road and Kildare Road for setup, and the closure will be extended at 10:40 a.m. from Argyle Road and Langlois Avenue for the parade. At approximately 12:00 p.m., the road will reopen.

Windsor firefighters, police responding to Kildare Road blaze
Emergency crews have closed a section of Kildare Road as Windsor firefighters work to extinguish a fire in the area. Windsor Fire and Rescue Chief Jamie Waffle says the blaze consists of a large number of wood pallets on fire. No injuries have been reported, Waffle said, and people are asked to avoid the area and keep their windows closed. Police said that Kildare Road is closed between Shepherd Street East and Seneca Street.
