(Video) Kim Jae-Joong To Bring 'Beauty In Chaos' Tour To Malaysia?
Malaysian K-pop fans often go wild over concert announcements, and many also enjoy it when event organisers tease the possibility that their favourite idols might soon be performing on our shores. But what happens when the idols themselves drop hints, or even spill the beans, about upcoming tour plans before any official announcement has been made? Soloist Kim Jae-joong (김재중), formerly of TVXQ, recently revealed more details about the countries he'll be visiting next, and fans were thrilled to learn that Malaysia is among them. Here's what he said: Kim Jae-joong appeared as a guest on the latest episode of Jo Hyun-ah's 'Ordinary Thursday Night' on YouTube, hosted by singer Jo Hyun-ah. The two discussed his career, dating rumours, and details of his upcoming Asia tour, 'Beauty in Chaos'. Initially, Seoul was the only confirmed stop, with Japan and Vietnam announced shortly afterwards. Fans have been eagerly awaiting more official date announcements, but it appears the singer himself has revealed additional countries that will be part of the tour. When asked about where he'll be heading next, the 39-year-old said: 'Starting from Jangchung Arena, then the following week is Japan, then Vietnam, then Thailand, China and Malaysia.' Although no official announcement has been made, Malaysian fans were overjoyed after the episode aired. Many took to Twitter to express their excitement that the legendary Kim Jae-joong will be performing in Malaysia later this year. Others said the unofficial announcement came as a surprise, as they hadn't expected Malaysia to be one of the stops on the upcoming tour. A few were hoping that the 'ROCK STAR' artist would stay true to his word and that there would be an official announcement about his concert soon. Kim Jae-joong last visited Malaysia in 2023 for the Korea Travel Fest, but his most recent performance here was in 2022 during his solo Asia tour. We're looking forward to the official concert announcement and to the idol's return to entertain fans! Han, 39, said on Instagram: 'So proud to be the first Singaporean to compete on this global show and even prouder to present to the world a take of our national chilli crab (and squid) dish with whatever I could find in the chiller.' He posted photos of himself in the makeup chair for the series on his Instagram Stories. He also uploaded wefies of him with Choi, and another South Korean chef Son Jong-won, as well as a snapshot with Kim. Kim Jae-joong experiences customer service nightmare as he tries to delete hacked account
14 May - Kim Jae-joong recently revealed that he became a victim of a hack involving his Kakao Pay account and had a nightmarish time trying to resolve the issue. The singer shared this piece of information with his fans via the Fromm platform, saying that his Kakao Pay was hacked and password changed without his knowledge, which prompted him to call the related department to settle the problem. "When I contacted the customer service, they transferred me to the securities help desk. They then transferred me to the security and incident centre. I talked to them for about an hour, but I ended up not resolving the issue and had to end the call because of work," he said. Kim also said that he was told he couldn't delete the account without knowing the password. "How am I supposed to know the password if it was changed by the hacker? "Do they expect me to know the password the hacker set?" he lamented. Kim said that they then told him they would connect him to another department, only for it to be the first department that he spoke to when he called. "I was mentally crushed. I know they are working hard but the response was too inadequate," he said. Fortunately, it was reported that no additional damage occurred. Two days later, Kim announced that he was able to delete the account after a day and a half of work. (Photo Source: Kim Jae-joong IG)

All-Korean K-pop idol group to perform in China
An all-Korean K-pop boy group is set to hold a standalone concert in China next month, raising expectations that Beijing may be moving toward easing its tacit ban on South Korean entertainment. C9 Entertainment announced Tuesday that its eight-member boy group Epex will perform in Fuzhou, China, on May 31 as part of its Asian tour, which kicked off in Seoul last December. China imposed an effective ban on South Korean pop music, TV dramas and films around 2016, in what was widely viewed as retaliation for Seoul's deployment of the US missile-defense system THAAD. South Korean pop singers have been barred from performing in China ever since. While K-pop stars with foreign nationalities have occasionally appeared on Chinese television shows, Epex's concert would mark the first time in nine years that an all-Korean K-pop group will stage a solo concert in China since the 2016 ban. In January, the Black Skirts, a South Korea-based American indie rock musician of Korean descent, was granted permission to perform in China, drawing media attention. Earlier this month, Homies, a three-member all-Korean hip-hop group, also held a tour concert in the country. Korean singer-actor Kim Jae-joong hosted a fan meet-and-greet event in Chongqing, further fueling speculation about a possible easing of restrictions. There is cautious optimism that the Chinese performance market could soon reopen for major K-pop stars, especially with an idol group -- typically with a larger fan base than indie or hip-hop acts -- holding an official standalone concert rather than just a fan event. Currently, top K-pop acts such as J-Hope of BTS, Seventeen, Zerobaseone and EXO's Kai have been meeting their Chinese fans through concerts in Macau, rather than on the mainland. However, industry experts note that the key indicator will be whether Chinese authorities begin permitting large-scale concerts because high-profile K-pop artists require large venues with capacities of 10,000 to 20,000 seats. "Around the beginning of this year, there were rumors that the ban on the South Korean entertainment industry would be eased around May or June," said a K-pop industry veteran with more than 30 years of experience in managing singers. "There's now an atmosphere of allowing smaller performances at venues in regional cities with less than 2,000 seats. But for major artists, we'll have to wait and see if large venues will open up."
